My extended family and I went for Sunday brunch here, with this visit being my first. I enjoyed the variety provided and the food across the board was good. It had your standard American breakfast staples along with items I would consider for dinner like prime rib and oysters. Our server was great - she wasn't frazzled by our large group and made sure each one of us was taken care of. The ambiance was super casual and at times busy; it is a buffet after all. Although everyone enjoyed their time here, including myself, I would not go out of my way to return. Went for their Sunday brunch. At best, I would rate the food 6/10. Food offerings are slowly going downhill. The peel and eat shrimps looked good but were very mushy. Probably they were frozen after being cooked. Oysters on the half shell were slightly dehydrated and their taste was off. Bagels with cream cheese and lox was good but the little slice of lox on top was very small, I was tempted to take 4 bagels and just take the toppings off of them. Prime rib was expertly roasted rare, but the meat quality was probably USDA SELECT in grade. The sautéed green beans were great. The fried shrimp was mediocre at best; probably frozen right out of the bag. Menudo was also mediocre in taste, the flavor should have been rich and deep, but it tasted pretty flat. We landed in triple digit Arizona heat and decided to chill indoor at a casino to stay cool as well as have a buffet dinner. Everyday had a special and on this particular day, it was prime rib and champagne (2 glass per person) for $39.99. The buffet was small but had all your typical items. It was quality over quantity. The prime rib alone was worth it. I especially loved that they gave you the option to sear it. There were shrimp, mussels, clams, many types of fish like fish and chips, cod, rock fish, salmon. All delicious. A bit of Asian cuisine, Italian and American. Small pre cut sushi rolls, Thai Tea station with boba and finally, their dessert island had so many cakes and pies. I stuck with ice cream. A trick for champagne is to order two full glasses of champagne and ask for orange juice on the side to maximize your mimosa. Our server, Raquel was extremely sweet and attentive. She was managing several tables at once and forgot our requests several times but we saw her efforts. We have been curious about the Eagles Buffet for a while, and for some reason decided that Father's Day would be a good time! When we arrived, it was already line out the door and past so many slot machines. We were already on the other side of the casino! I overheard someone asking how long the wait was, and the host told them TWO HOURS. Luckily for us, our wait was better than going back outside to 112 weather. We didn't wait too long... just an hour an half lol. But getting in was great! You pay upfront, and they get you seated. They gave my son a high chair. I did not take many photos because we were eating, and we were eating a lot! The menu for the Father's Day Brunch Buffet was breakfast items along with some entrees. The following is what ended up on our plates: - prime rib (their horseradish did not have much zing) - salmon (very good, especially when fresh!) - oysters (wish they had tabasco - it was missing something) - crab egg benedicts (the english muffin was hard to cut, but we were both surprised they didn't over cook the yolk!) - hash browns (very good!) - steamed vegetables (also very good, and helped balance all the heavy protein - funnel cake (was okay, I wish I saw if there was a syrup to eat with it) - ice cream (there is an attendant at the station, let them know the flavors and you can add your own toppings) -carrot cake (VERY sweet, you should ask for a coffee before taking a bite) The price of the buffet was $39.99 per head so the total for us two was around $98 and my son was FREE. We were told to get there when it opens at 10am because it get busy on Saturdays. Our party of 8 arrived a little after 10. We were told if we got casino cards we would get a discount at the Buffett. Great when you can come here on a deal. The casino often time provides comps to make up for the high price. There's a lot of food to sample, more than it takes to get full. They had prime rib the weekend I went & and it was cooked to medium rare. It is a good buffet, though it is far from exceptional. I found the meat to be delicious and the service to be great but the food was a bit lacking luster and not as good as I had hoped! They advertised a Pho lunch buffet on Thursday afternoon from 11-2:30. We arrived around 12pm and waited in a line for 15 minutes. We were sat at a nice booth. Drink orders were taken promptly and off to the PHO bar. You were offered shrimp/beef and chicken with chow mein noodles or glass noodles. This was put on the grill for a minute then put in a bowl with either beef or chicken stock. Then you choose your basil/onions/jalepeno & other spices. The bowls were large and had that good PHO stock. This PHO rivaled any local PHO shop nearby. Then of course if you were still hungry there were many other options available along with a selection of Salads and deserts. For $20 it was an excellent choice. Highly recommend. We went on a Friday night. The buffet specials were steak and seafood. They also offered prime rib, grilled pork loin and filet mignon. We both enjoyed the prime rib, which was tender and lean. The seafood was delicious. There were so many choices: lobster mac n cheese, lobster and pasta el fredo made to order (outstanding!), angry clams (steamed clams with fresh garlic, butter and hot sauce), peel and eat shrimp, cold clams and mussels, smoked salmon with capers and dill sauce, and warm crab crusted salmon. This was all in addition to the usual buffet fare. The mac n cheese and mashed potatoes are excellent, so are the Chinese California rolls. The lobster bisque was just a glorified tomato soup but the New England clam chowder was delicious. The cocktail menu offers standards, and the wine list is just soso. Go to the adjacent bar if you want a good alcoholic beverage. We've eaten here often, and as usual, the service was excellent. Everything is neat and clean and delicious. My favorite was the sushi they were presented in these type of bamboo boat and there was one to two pieces depending on which type you would like. I also really enjoyed their prime rib! This buffet used to be great Cooking the Crab, then putting it back in hot water. Ruins the Crab Not one piece could you pull a solid piece of meat! They go so fast, you do NOT need to put it back in hot water! A heat lamp would do. It's not an Asian buffet. They were very rude telling us you only have 90 minutes glaring at us the whole time. Some dishes were well seasoned, while others were bland. At any buffet, I generally get a little of different dishes, then go back and get more of the ones I really enjoyed. There are a number of pre made cold deli salads, or make your own fresh salad.The primee rib was tough and bland. That was my biggest disappointment of the buffet. The salmon was my favorite of the protiens. Fresh fruits were ripe and sweet. Brunch has a mix of sweet and savory items. Funnel cakes were being made fresh. Many of the desserts are two-bite sized. Some are bite-sized. Slices of pie and bigger. This allows guests to try a little bit of a lot. Hand scooped ice cream is also available. I was too full to even consider trying any. There were enough dishes that were well seasoned that I left feeling no only full, but fulfilled. Decor is rich and dark colors. Seating is booths and tables. We were there at the end of December. Absolutely Disgraceful - Stay Far Away from Eagles Buffet! We visited Eagles Buffet on Wednesday, August 6th, with a group of seven adults and one baby, and to say the experience was a disaster is putting it mildly. I've never been here before (I used to go to Talking Stick when it was open), and after this experience, I'll never step foot in Eagles Buffet again -- and I'll be warning everyone I know to do the same. We arrived at 6:20pm, paid $60 PER PERSON, and were met with the saddest excuse for a buffet I've ever seen. The "variety" was laughable -- six Italian dishes (why so many?), not a single Mexican option, an embarrassingly tough-looking cut of steak, salty, greasy Asian food that tasted like it was dumped out of a bag, and crab legs that were being rationed out two at a time like we were in a soup kitchen. By 7:20pm, things got even worse. The crab legs were gone. Staff were actually arguing with customers at the station. The salad bar? Empty. Dessert? Looked like a ghost town. Nothing was being refilled, and I went up multiple times just to see the same picked-over trays sitting untouched. This is supposed to be a buffet. If I pay $60 a head, I expect options and refills, not excuses. I asked to speak with a manager and was given someone named Eddie, who walked me over to a chef (who looked just as clueless as I felt) -- then Eddie just walked away. Real professional. Later, I asked again for Eddie and told him I wanted the name and number of the Director of Food and Beverage. At 7:45 -- with the buffet virtually out of food and still not restocking the stations -- they were still selling new seats to people coming in. Are you kidding me?! That's straight-up fraud -- taking people's money knowing full well there's hardly any food left. I called the next day and left a message for Remy, the Director of Food and Beverage. That conversation was the final slap in the face. Instead of taking accountability, it was just excuse after excuse -- "we don't have a pastry chef," "we're sharing desserts with Talking Stick," "there was food available," etc. Seriously? As a paying guest, I don't care about your staffing problems -- that's your issue, not mine. My job is to pay. Your job is to deliver the experience you advertised. You failed. Miserably. And offering me comps for two adults out of seven? That's beyond insulting. What am I supposed to tell the other five people? "Sorry, Remy doesn't care about your terrible experience"? Absolutely unacceptable, unprofessional, and completely out of touch with what customer service means. Do better, Casino Arizona. This isn't just a bad look for Eagles Buffet -- it's a stain on your whole operation. Avoid this place like the plague. A friend told me to try this buffet. This is for the buffet at Casino off of McKellips.We like to go out to brunch after church on Sundays. I'll start with the positives... it's fairly inexpensive at $30 a person. There was no line and we were immediately seated in a booth at 10am. The server brought us bloody Mary's that were pretty good. No water was offered. No list of available drinks could be found. We asked and she told us that 2 bloody Mary's or 2 mimosas were included. The offerings in the buffet were typical and not very exciting. Everything seemed over cooked and bland. The shrimp were tiny. The desserts were all kind of yuck. The cheesecake was the worst. We tried the prime rib. It's ok for the price we paid, but I would pass next time. The mashed potatoes and gravy were good. I searched for hot sauce and ketchup for my hashbrowns (they were lukewarm at best), but I never found any. The buffet and the dining room seemed very out-dated. There was a stale smoke smell in the casino that pushed into the dining area. It was freezing also-drafty. We will not return. read more

We got there today exactly at 4pm when dinner starts. First couple of plates everything was cold. Prime rib cold, fish cold. None of the food looked fresh at all. We expected everything fresh and at least warn since it just opened instead it was the opposite. We paid $40 for a buffet that's probably worth $20-$24 tops. The staff is all very nice and get you seated quickly, just make sure you expect a line before getting in. This has been a staple in my family for years. We went today and the food never disappoints. For 30 dollars a person you get options of prime rib oysters and breakfast foods. I am super picky about my menudo and the one here is pretty good. There is a 90 minute dining time that is post at the presented at the front, but it is more than enough time. Well, against my better judgement, we came to the Eagles Buffet while up in Phx this week. My intuition was correct, I should've skipped it. The place was very busy and they were ill prepared. The food stations were lacking, almost everything was some sort of fried food. Many bins had nothing in them, like not empty, like they just gave up on having variety. There was no dessert AT ALL, not even fruit, besides the ice cream and that had a very long line as a result. Some stuff was tasty like the jalapeño poppers and pasta salads. The ice cream was good too if you have patience to wait for your scoop (ask for two scoops and two bowls so you don't have to wait in the ridiculous line up multiple times). The Italian pasta was disgusting. The Dim Sum was bland. The taco station was sad. The roast beef was fine. And the nail in the coffin is, they seated people for lunch until 2:15 and then kicked everyone out at 2:30. They took our money, didn't continue to serve food, and then said "leave." Very bad experience. But, it was cheap, I guess. If you managed to get food. Everything overall was just very blah and uncared for. Uninspired. Throwaway. Never again for us. read more

If I could give ZERO stars I would. This was the worst experience for a buffet that I have ever experienced. I understand that there is usually a line to get in and be seated, but also a huge line to get crab legs. We waited at least fifteen minutes to be served two knuckles of crab legs on a black styrofoam plate to identify you as the Scarlet Letter. The ultimate slap in the face, is after waiting with your party who is celebrating birthdays, what comes next. We have a "manager" named Dom yelling at us "Ok folks it's time for you to get dessert and get out, your 90 minutes are up and we need these tables so you have to leave, I don't want to have to come back and tell you again." I could not believe this had just happened. Reality set in when he came back a second time five minutes later with the same rant! I tried to speak with him privately to let him know he had the wrong table. He realized, turned our receipt around and said "ok I apologize I did have the wrong table but according to your receipt you have about six minutes left then you all need to leave!" I looked around at the several empty tables around us and asked to speak with someone over him. I was introduced to Sally who, laughingly, told me this was not his normal behavior but they were so busy that evening that's why the 90 minute rule was being enforced.
