Food is good with lots of options. I'm gluten sensitive and the food always messes me up a tiny bit, but it's worth it once a month or two. I love the pepper beef, kung pao chicken, grilled seafood, the enchiladas(funny but actually delicious), and the steaks. GF loves the salt and pepper shrimp. The brussels sprouts can be hit or miss but when they're good they're good - and the garlic green beans are buttery and awesome. Hosts and servers are always nice. The restaurant is nice looking as far as aesthetics, and the staff is friendly and kind. The food was just not the greatest. My brother bit into a piece of fried chicken and blood came out. The men's room was despicable in the stalls. There's baked potatoes with no butter or sour cream. Overall, for the price paid, this was a very unsatisfactory experience. Accidentally drove by and decided to eat here. This place was packed. It was a weekend so price was $20 for adults and I think $13 for kids. You pay first before getting seated. The interior was pretty fancy and big, almost felt like I was in Vegas. I thought they had a pretty good selection and the food was pretty good. Came here with a large group of residents from my neighborhood & it was my first time trying this place, so I wasn't sure just what to expect. One thing that impressed me is they do have a Senior Discount. They got the tables ready for the 18 of us & we were seated & situated. I was surprised to see they not only offer Chinese food but American food on the buffet as well & I even found Chicken Enchiladas on there! As far as Chinese Buffets go this one is the best in the state. The layout makes sense, and you don't need to dodge little old lady's throwing elbows on your direction as you are in line. The food pans are frequently refilled, which is probably why the people in the lines are not as aggressive. The food is really fresh and flavorful, with a wide variety of dishes available. It was clean inside and the servers were friendly and attentive. The restaurant is also large inside, with plenty of seating available. I had been meaning to try this place ever since they opened a few years ago but kept forgetting it when on the search for Chinese. I only remembered it this time because the night before I saw them on the Deans List of the Dirty Dining Report on Channel 5. Which means they passed with flying colors. read more

I wrote a review a couple of days ago, Beatrice from Customer Service responded, I was asked to call a phone number which turned out to be the phone number of the restaurant that we attempted to eat at, and the manager Linda got on the phone, further upsetting me over what happened! This manager is nothing more than a bully! And why I would be asked to contact her is ludicrous! I am so done with this restaurant, they have caused me more anxiety and stress, all we wanted was to go there and enjoy a meal. First thing is you pay first before eating. The person ask me if I'd like to include a tip . I was taken back at first and then laughed with my wife . I told her tips are earned. How do I tip accordingly without even being serviced ? I could tell she didn't like that comment. Then the hostess who supposed to seat us never says hi. Never ask us to follow her to our table . We sort of just figured that she was the one seating us . She never asked if the table was okay . It wasn't! We moved on our own regardless of any interaction with her. Staff was not friendly. The food was good, but a couple things. I put some thousand island dressing on my salad. The container was very messy and dressing tasted sour. The fish was very dried out. No one came by our table at all, except to leave water. One girl was cleaning off tables off. Never took our plates. It was not busy. Lots of empty tables. I came to this East Mesa Lin's only once, when there was a square dance festival about 1 mile away. But I have been to the Tucson Marketplace Lin's probably about 50 times, when I attend the gem show and other times for square dance festival. This Lin's isn't any different from any other LIns's The food items are all the same. My favorite items are the fried zucchini, the fried fish fillets, clams in black bean sauce, blue crabs, the Chinese donuts, the steamed whitefish, and the charbroiled steak. The steak is poor quality in that it has lotsa gristle and oingy boingies that you have to spit out, but the charbroiled flavor is intense, and they have A1 sauce. I really enjoy it. You have to ask for rare, otherwise your jaw will be sore and tired in just 4 chews. read more

This was our go-to Chinese Buffet, (was). We were happy to see this stores grand opening. It was new, nicely decorated and great dining area. A welcomed improvement over the 19th Ave & Bethany restaurant we've visited in the past. Food was good and fresh due the restaurant's location and community patronage. It's a very busy restaurant. It has a large selection of buffet options and includes a Sushi bar and cook to order grill. Something changed and could have been one employee. Due to (two) health inspection violations we have placed this Resturant on time out until we see additional inspections with passing scores. The Public's health must be a priority of every business serving food because the result of not following health standards is not acceptable. The whole experience was very good. I'm very apprehensive about buffets because I've seen some things but this place was very good. We were greeted and seated fairly quickly. The drinks were refilled in a timely manner. We were checked on a few times regarding the service and food which was nice. Today was the first time I tried Lin's Grand Buffet. My first impression of the sushi section was that there was only a few morsels of sushi present. I tried a couple of pieces and it was underwhelming. I also realized that it's not a sushi restaurant. The remaining selection of the other courses was the same I found that the best thing I sample were the fried shrimp. The salmon was overcooked the fried zucchini tasted like it was fried in the same oil as the fish. The desserts were prepackaged and mostly tasteless. The best thing on the menu was the coke . The lunch price was 15.99 and 3.99 for the free refill soft drinks. In conclusion, if you want to fill your belly for cheap without any expectations of quality then by all means. Recommend: This place is average. If you want something that won't break your wallet but want a variety food then I would recommend this. You don't come here to expect much or high class or anything above average here. Food: Decent, wasn't horrible. There are a lot of different food and station. Price: not too bad. Was around $15 for dinner (Lunch is around $12). Around $3 for soft drinks. Service: Surprisingly they were very attentive and picked up our plates pretty quickly and checked in on us a couple times if we needed something and filled our water. Ambience: the building still looks clean, new, and fresh. However some of the booths are ripped or have holes. It would be nice if they repair or replace them. I would recommend going between 6-8pm when they bring out the food more often. This is an average buffet. You can't expect much but it does satisfy your stomach and wallet. Honestly it isn't too bad. For some reason it seems like they had the AC on inside so by the time I get my food and sat down, I take a few bites and then everything else was cold by then.
