UPDATE: they arrived to collect the remaining food from my trash can and then said we ate all the food and refused to issue a refund. Now that they have the food in their possession, they think we can't prove anything. Thankfully my location is under surveillance. To give you the TL;DR (too long, didn't read) ... save yourself the trouble and don't order from here. We ordered three wonton soups, three teas and a shrimp with cashew nuts with an egg roll. All of the food arrived late and therefore was room temperature. We called in to check on our order and we're told a manager would call back with an order status update. So far, that hasn't happened. The teas are a complete rip off. Everywhere I've ordered them from, they are in the 1 qt containers that wonton soup comes in. These are regular size cups, like solo cups but they are $2.30 each. The wonton soup was cold in the center of every one and the broth was lukewarm. The noodles they sent with the soup were stale. The Shrimp with Cashew Nuts was a complete disaster. I gave up on trying to find much in it that tasted decent. The carrots were somehow half soft and half rock. My egg roll was edible so I won't die from starvation tonight. I was starving when the food arrived though so its saying something when I choose to remain hungry instead of eating the food. Save yourself the hassle of having to write a review like this and just order elsewhere. read more

Tl;dr the food was pretty great for take out standards, but I couldn't imagine eating here like a full service sit down restaurant. We ordered ma po tofu, kimchi pork, and sesame chicken. All were pretty great honestly. The mapo tofu in particular is probably about as good as it gets for take out. The kimchi pork was made with surprisingly pretty good quality kimchi and a good amount of pork. And I really appreciate how the sesame chicken wasn't made with gigantic chunks, just nice bite sized pieces. Was the staff nice? No, so again I can't imagine going in, sitting down, and being served. But for takeout, this place was perfect. read more

Order from them June 28th 2020 for delivery. We received the order and I think the driver turned the order ipside down in the bag. Everything spilt out inside the bag. Beef was like shoe leather also. Order was incomplete they forgot the wontons I paid for. I called 5 times before I spoke to a person. She said I ordered online so she couldn't help me and didn't listen to anything. I received a call back with no apology and he said to sent all food back and he would remake and include wontons. What a POS APPROACH TO CUSTOMER SERVICE. I will never order from them again and I suggest you not either. read more

I had a pretty good take-out experience here! I tried their sesame chicken, kimchi pork, mapo tofu, and a side of kimchi, and I enjoyed everything. The sesame chicken wasn't overly sweet or drenched in sauce, which I appreciate. I also like how the pieces of chicken weren't overwhelmingly large. The tofu had a good consistency--it's like the pieces sort of melt in your mouth but still hold structure. The kimchi pork was probably my favorite out of the three entrees. The servings were family-sized, too. If I'm ever in Daytona again, I would come back! read more

I am writing this review after ordering from China Garden 3- times to make sure their awesome service/food wasn't a fluke. They have proven to be exceptional in all areas. My first order was placed with China Garden due to other "well known Chinese Restaurants" now requiring deliveries to go through a "delivery service company" which I cannot name or review here due to Yelp rules suffice to say I was looking for a restaurant that I could call and speak to the person actually writing up the order directly. Also, the delivery service adds an additional $10.00 or more to the order between fees and charges. Ordering for 4- people all with different preferences and some modifications such as "no broccoli or carrots", a white garlic sauce in the Chicken with Chinese Vegetables dinner (as opposed to the standard dark sauce) etc. is probably annoying to the restaurant to say the least. But not China Garden. The woman who answers the phone and takes the order was friendly, efficient and showed no aggravation at the modified orders. After your first order she is able to look at your past orders which for us are always exactly the same so it makes ordering easy. The food arrives within 45 minutes and that is during prime time Friday/Saturday nights between 7-9 pm. The driver calls from the parking lot and on 2 of the 3 orders actually arrived in 1/2 hour from when the order was placed. The food is hot, packaged well but most importantly tastes as though it was made from scratch. We have ordered the Lo Mein (excellent and modified without broccoli), Chicken and Chinese Vegetables with the white sauce is a special order, no broccoli or carrots with extra mushrooms and... well you get the idea. We are pain in the a** customers. In addition the Wonton Soup arrives boiling hot and tastes as if it was freshly made. Firm egg noodle around tender pork with a tasty broth. The egg rolls are on the large side and again, perfect consistency and filled with fresh cabbage. The portions are huge and are enough for 4- people to easily have 2 meals.. even a bit more actually as after 2- meals we still had some left overs. We highly recommend China Garden! Enjoy. Last thought, I am not sure why but with their food we don not wake up in the middle of the night dying of thirst or get "puffy". Possibly they are non MSG but I don't know if that's a fact I'm just speaking to our experience. read more

This was my first time placing an order for Delivery at this restaurant since I just moved to the area. It was pretty darn good! I ordered Crab Rangoon and a Shrimp Lo Mein combination for dinner. The egg roll it came with was the best egg roll I've ever eaten (I usually dont care for them). The Crab Rangoon was a perfect combination of sweet and savory. I didnt like the sweet and sour dipping sauce for it. It was too fruity/sour tasting for my preference. The fried rice was okay (could have used more veggies and flavor). As for the service, it was EXCELLENT! the delivery time was super fast and the food was hot and fresh! Overall, I'll be ordering here from now on. Not bad at all! =) read more

I went here about 1 1/2 years ago and it seemed OK. I went back yesterday and it was horrible! I ordered Moo Shu pork to go. The amount of food was good, but the meat was chewy and had fat and gristle on it. Then about an hour later, my stomach and intestines were doing flip-flops. It's been 24 hours, and I'm still not right inside. Last but not least, they gave me eggroll wrappers instead of Moo Shu pancakes which is unacceptable. There's actually an Asian store down the road about 200 yards that sells Moo Shu pancakes, and China Garden gives me eggroll wrappers - Yeesh! I'm never going back. read more

My husband and I stopped in for a few sides as I had chicken at home I wanted to finish. Ordered egg roll for me (perfectly stuffed and fried) and my husband ordered Spring rolls and said they were delicious. Also got a large order of pork fried rice and it was just the way I like it. Especially the onion and peas. Very fresh and just made to order. The pork was tender and flavorful. I forgot to tell the chef I didn't want any bean sprouts (hate them) but there were none in the rice. It was all perfect and we are so glad we stopped in and we will be back. read more

We ordered Beef and Broccoli, General Tso's chicken , and Sweet and Sour Chicken combos. Each combo came with fried rice, egg roll and crab Rangoon. We also ordered a bowl of hot and sour soup and a bowl of wonton soup. The combos provided a LOT of food. The wontons were large and meaty in the soup. I have garlic allergies and specifically asked for no garlic. Everything I ordered was loaded with garlic. I spent over $54.00 for food I can't eat! Who makes bourbon chicken with zucchini and carrots? This was a terrible experience and a waste of money! Where to begin?! We ordered tofu with white rice and instead got pork fried rice.. who gives meat to a person who ordered tofu?!!!? On top of it, the general tao sauce was way too sweet and it was a little undercooked. Needless to say, half our meals went untouched. The krab Rangoon was mostly shell with a dab of filling. This was possibly the worst Chinese food I have ever eaten! The rice tasted like it came from an old dirty iron pot. I much regretted it later! OUR EGG ROLLS WERE SPOILED/ROTTEN. My 2 yr old always eats the egg rolls & I wait till after my meal. My son had eaten his, I tried to eat mine & noticed is was horrible. Then my mother takes a bit & exclaims they r spoiled. She in fact was right. My 2 yr old begins to puke.
