Our 3rd visit over the last couple of months. Our new favorite dim sum restaurant in the Daytona Beach area. Great food, great service and the food comes out piping hot. The server we've had on the last 2 visits, Alex, has been filling in temporarily while going to school in the Orlando area. Alex is professional, friendly and knows the menu and the Asain community in Daytona/Orlando so he's a wealth of knowledge. Looking forward to returning again in the not so distant future

Our 2nd visit over the last couple of months. Our new favorite dim sum restaurant. Having moved up from the Orlando area where dim sum is more prevalent, this is still up there with the best of them. We've also decided we like the dim sum better coming from the kitchen better than the novelty of the push carts. While the carts are quicker to get the food upon sitting down, we've found the food coming from the kitchen to be hotter and fresher. Service has also been very good on both visits.

When we lived in California, we had established a habit of having dim sum on Christmas Day, our big celebration being on Christmas Eve. Here in Florida, I was not sure if we would be able to continue. But with the find of Asian Sauce Box, I'm pleased to say the habit can continue. We arrived at a late lunch hour on 12/25, around !:00pm. We were seated promptly in the sparsely populated restaurant. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was worried that there would be a crowd because people with out of town guests often go out at the late lunch hour. Not the case here![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The waiter/owner seated up promptly and when I asked for the paper slip to mark our dim sum choices, he said they don't do that any more, just order from the menu. So order we did. We got Har Gow, Shiu Mai, shrimp noodles, eggplant with shrimp, egg yolk buns and chive dumplings. We had big plans to get some chow mein, but that didn't happen. We were full from our first 6 items. This dim sum is hand made in house to order. Because of this it is a bit more expensive than other places. But here in FL, it is unique and I'm glad to see it continuing to survive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There was nothing not to like here. The ambiance was relaxed, servers attentive, and food hot and flavorful[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Overall, better than I expected. We will be back and not just on Christmas!

Always delicious food. I think the owners have changed or at least the staff all has. It never seems to amaze me how many Asian people stop in to eat or take out. They even have menu in Chinese if you can read the language. Truly where the locals come.

Welp they are still making great food. Super hot and fresh. Quality dim sum and the only local Chinese spot where you can get a true dim sum selection.

Visiting Port Orange and craving Asian food. Found this fabulous spot and had some fresh home-made asian fare. Started with two orders of spring rolls; pork and vegetable followed by the Mongolian Beef, Sweet and Sour Chicken, General Tso Chicken and Shrimp with Rice Noodles. The entire table enjoyed the original tasting dishes. Also a special thanks to the owners for keeping the restaurant open for us when we arrived right before closing too.

the Dim Sum is fantastic, if you have never stored dim sum I highly suggest you start here. Food was all super fresh and authentic. Staff was also very tentative and kind. best Dim sum in Daytona.

The restaurant is located in a strip mall - clean, neat with a few tables and booths (but you can also reserve for large groups). This place was on the list to try and I'm so glad we did! First, Alice, who is one of the owners, waited on us and could not have been more friendly or personable - she is a joy! The restaurant serves a number of different Asian cuisines - in addition to Chinese there are Thai, Japanese and Vietnamese offerings as well. We started with pan-fried gyoza which were SO good - fresh and flavorful. Hubs loves kimchi so had to try theirs - he inhaled the bowl and declared it amazing (I'm not a fan but it did smell yummy and garlicky!!). He enjoyed it so much he got an order to go as well. I tried my go-to Chinese favorite Kung Pao Chicken - it was quite good, well spiced, full of fresh veggies and lots of peanuts. Next time I'll probably get it with shrimp or tofu. Hubs had Pad Kee Mao with chicken (Thai hot!) and loved it. Although we were too full, the almond pudding on the menu did sound good - maybe next time!

Jacksonville, and Orlando offer up some rich and diverse cuisine and that it's not uncommon for us to drive an hour to get good food. Living in Central Florida it is hard to get really good Dim Sum. But all that changed today when we visited the Dim Sum Express, located in Palm Coast. The place is a little hard to find, located in a beautiful strip mall behind the local Texas Roadhouse. Don't let the location of this place deceive you because this place is pure gold for those who love Dim Sum. The place is also very small, perhaps 4 or 5 tables, but you will be rewarded with some very fine food. We had heard of this place via the Internet, and, despite some glowing reviews, we were wary of them before we decided to check it out. And boy, were we pleasantly surprised. And what made Dim Sum Express exceed our expectations? The food, of course, both the freshness and taste of it. Many so-called Dim Sum places don't move the dumplings and meat enough to ensure freshness, with noticeable freezer and refrigeration taste, and the best ones make their items from scratch in house. Now I'm not sure what Dim Sum Express does, but the freshness and taste could not be denied here. We started out with the Cucumber Salad with Chili Oil. Talk about a palate awakening as the freshly cut sweetness of the cucumbers tasted delightful mixed with the spicy chili oil and fish sauce. Another winner was the Steamed Bok Choy severed with a sweet sauce that was very delicious. The Steamed Spare Ribs were also very tasty with the small pork riblets with black bean sauce were both fresh and savory. Now, the test of any Dim Sum place is always the dumplings and the Dim Sum Express served up some of the tastiest Classic Pork Shumai and Shrimp Shumai dumplings that we've ever had anywhere. These were the dishes that we had, and they also served other classic Chinese dishes, however, we were their for the Dim Sum and in Dim Sum Express we found a winner. Just how this place which has been open for the past six months and went under our radar is baffling. The whole meal, and it was very filling, came to $41 with tax, And I'm happy to report that we have finally found our place for Dim Sum in the Central Florida area.

These legends welcomed our whole crew with zero wait like it was just another Tuesday--talk about VIP service. Now let's talk food. First up, the tofu and veggie stir-fry--a glorious mix of crispy tofu cubes with perfectly sautéed broccoli, carrots, and bok choy in a savory brown sauce that hugged every bite like a warm hug from a Chinese grandma. The beef with broccoli? Tender, flavorful, and bathed in rich umami goodness. Honestly, if I could bottle that sauce, I'd put it on everything--maybe even my cereal (don't judge). The Honey Walnut Shrimp was love at first crunch. Perfectly crispy shrimp in a creamy, sweet glaze topped with candied walnuts and nestled on a bed of fresh steamed broccoli. This dish was the Beyoncé of the table--everyone wanted a piece. Those crispy, golden Shrimp Ball Fritters? Imagine a crunchy sea urchin made of joy. Light, airy, and addictive--basically the potato chip of appetizers. The pan-fried dumplings were thick, juicy, and had the perfect crispy sear. No sad, soggy dumplings here. Then came the crispy duck--dark, rich, and bursting with deep roasted flavor. It had that satisfying crunch you want, and the meat melted in your mouth. A must for meat lovers. But the real MVP? Those soup dumplings. Steamy little flavor bombs that explode in your mouth like a culinary fireworks show. Served in their own mini tins like royalty--juicy, delicate, and impossible to eat just one. The table went silent the second they landed. That's how you know it's real. With quick service, huge portions, and a menu that hits every craving from noodles to dumplings to sizzling plates of joy, Peter's Kitchen China Bistro was the unexpected gem we didn't know we needed. Cozy, authentic, and efficient--this place made our group dinner easy, delicious, and downright memorable.

I had heard great things about it and hadn't gotten the chance to go until recently. This is mostly because they're located in Windermere, which is a bit aways from most of Orlando. It was chosen as the dinner location for a work dinner for Asian American Heritage Month. May might be over, but Asian food is forever. It's in a very cute location with shops around and ample of parking. They had tables set aside for us and they have a full menu as well as the dim sum menu, which you mark how many of an item you want. Family style dining as is most Asian dining. The interior is super nice and it does feel upscale. They have large tables and some smaller ones but it's not a huge restaurant space. This means the meals feel very cozy and intimate. We got the squid ink shrimp dumplings and regular shrimp dumplings. They were both a 9/10. I will say that squid ink anything does not add to the flavor, just the color of the food. Squid ink is slightly more expensive. The shumai was a 9/10. By the way the dumplings were huge and about 4 pieces per order. We tried the curry fish balls, which essentially is fish balls like the ones you get at hot pot cooked in a yellow curry. It was my first time trying this and I thought it was just ok. This was a 5.5/10. Some ordered beef and broccoli for the table and it was delicious. Definitely a large dish to be shared. That was an 8.5/10. We tried their wonton soup which came with noodles and bok chop. This was an 8/10. The fried shrimp balls were excellent and is a 9/10 for me. Normally, I think they are either too savory or oily. However, these ones had great crips and really well balanced flavor. We tried my favorite dim sum dish, which is the rice rolls with shrimp. This was a 6/10 for me. It just wasn't my favorite one that I have had. We also tried the mango custard bun, which was a 8/10. Overall, I would give them a 8/10. It is a little on the more pensive end for dim sum but the atmosphere is nice and service is pretty good. I love dumplings. I could eat dumplings any day, all day. It truly is one of those things I would have as a part of my last meal on Earth.
