We decided to do the hot pot so we all have our own little pots to eat out of. They have a little bar in the front of the restaurant where it has all kinds of fixings and dipping items, sesame, red bean balls. So delicious. I will say that the prices are a little much, especially if you're not someone that eats a lot. And if you decide to take whatever food that you have even if it's just the broth home, you have to pay an extra $14 for it. There is no meal options for people who had gastric bypass or can't eat a lot of food at once. Other than that, it is really tasty and delicious many options even vegan ones! We got all kinds of vegetables, tofu, and I got the shrimp dumplings. The waitress was also really friendly and patient with us.

The restaurant is very dark, even during the day. It definitely has more of a nightclub vibe. The servers were very attentive and most plates came out within two minutes That being said, it is definitely only a place I would come for lunch. The price for dinner is comparable with the mom&pop places in Columbus but with much worse broth and meat quality. They don't have strainer spoons for the hotpot :(

We got a few dim sum dishes as well as Chinese home style dishes as well. As for the dim sum dishes, the scallop dumplings were my favorite because of how chewy the skin was. Although the shrimp dumplings were good, they were on the soggier side. The chive dumplings were also super packed with pork and chives, and they were wonderfully crispy. The spicy pork dish was very good, with lots of thin sliced pork, squash, mushrooms, scallions, and onions. If you're into spicy food, definitely enjoy it with their pickled jalapeños and red pepper oil. Chinese stir fried veggies make it so easy to get your fiber in as well. These veggies were super flavorful with lots of garlic and they were tender too! We finished the meal with some fortune cookies and the best part of the meal was how friendly and sweet our servers were. The workers were elderly men and women and they were so nice. They made sure we had everything we needed and even gave us candy as we left. It reminded me of how much I loved seeing generations of families getting dim sum together on the weekends. Definitely will be back for more the next time my dim sum craving hits!

We got there a bit late so they were running low on some things but gave us solid substitutes. No lobster dumpling? Here's some delicious scallop dumplings! No juicy pork bun? Have some quail egg dumplings! Service was prompt and friendly.

There's a big community table inside for multiple small parties or a couple bigger ones, some 2 seaters, and a couple other seating options. It's a small, cozy, inviting, restaurant but they also have the option to rent their space out for small parties! We got some drinks to try and they were so very good! They were made well, balanced, and creative. The flavors they offered were very good and unique. We got their Pork Xiao Long Bao, small Chicken Karaage, and Pepper Tuna to start. The XLB was good but not memorable, flavorful and small bites. The Pepper Tuna was also pretty good but I would probably only get again if I was craving. Their Karaage was phenomenal, very flavorful, crispy, and made well. We really enjoyed this appetizer. We got the Tan Tan Men and Seafood Ramen. The Tan Tan Men was delicious, made well, umami, flavorful, and fulfilling. I think the broth was delicious and everything paired well together. I would recommend this dish. The Seafood Ramen was good but, I didn't feel the seafood was too memorable and the flavor was very light. I wish their ramen had a bit more topping variety but overall, made well and delicious. Staff was nice! They were a bit busy and didn't check in as often but they were nice and walked around. They answered a couple questions we had in the beginning and we're accomodating. I recommend Kirin for small groups, a casual date, delicious food, and very good vibe. I think they have a fun and delicious spin on classic and traditional dishes. I will be coming back!

Is not hard to find if you just follow your GPS, but if you just want to look for it, is kinda hidden, is behind the famous Waffle House. lol I went around 7pm on the weekdays, only maybe 3 cars parked outside. I'm not really sure they super slow on the weekdays or taken it easy day for them. What I mean by that you may ask? Well, when I walked in, I felt like they just open or they about to close, because after you at the counter, only the left side of the restaurant have lights on, on the right side the light is off, that's what I mean felt like they just open but not yet have all their lights turn off, or about to close, but I honestly think weekday is slow days for them, maybe? Anyway, the server which I only saw one, she really nice. There 2 different menus, one is the regular lunch and dinner Chinese restaurant menu, another smaller one is the dim sum, , not the full dim sum menu, maybe have 10-12 items I ordered the Beef Chow Fun, also on the dim sum menu is the Shrimp Rice Noodle. The Shrimp Rice Noodle is not one of the best, actually I think the dim sum here is not very good, I felt that they just giving the customer another options. The Beef Chow Fun is very good, so far I tried is one of the best in Columbus. I'm giving it 4 stars, will definitely Give it a try if you can just ignore half restaurant being close. lol
