I think it's hard finding a Chinese restaurant that's worth talking about and Green Tea has been the tastiest and most consistent place yet we've found in Jacksonville. Is it perfect? No. But it's good enough that we drive all the way from Orange Park to eat it! Here are some of our favorites: Wonton soup is how I base my opinion on Chinese and the wonton soup is the closest I've found to tasting like it should. The broth should always be dark showing its flavor. This broth isn't as dark as I want it but it's flavorful, again, not perfect but close enough. Each order has a good amount of nice sized wontons with a nice meaty filling. There's little strips of pork and scallions floating around adding to each bite. I approve! Hot and sour soup is great. A little spicy but balanced with that vinegar twang. Tons of mushrooms, tofu and bamboo shoots in every bite. Kids favorites are sesame chicken and orange chicken. The sesame sauce is really flavorful. The orange is good but not as orangey as I would like. We always get white and fried rice which are average like any Chinese restaurant. House special mei fun. Lots of chicken pork and shrimp mixed into the rice noodles. This isn't a dish that punches you in the face with flavor and is super mild. But there's something so good about it you can't stop eating it. Bbq ribs are on point. Super meaty, super saucy. Finger lickin good. Prices aren't terrible. I've seen worse. You get a good amount of food and most importantly it's consistent. I recommend giving them a shot! read more

I had to update, my good ol trusty Green Tea! This has become it, for any Chinese take out we comes here! It's delicious! Every time the food is packaged expertly, it's still hot, tasting great! I pretty much get the same thing each time cause it's just so good...cashew chicken with white rice and egg rolls. It's always fresh and big enough portions for 2 meals for me. We have been living in the mandarin area for over 13 years and we have not found a Chinese take out place that can compare to them. Food is made to order, always fresh and hot! Officially my #1 Chinese takeout. Leagues above any other standard Chinese, I was so pleasantly surprised the first time we ordered from here! The first thing that struck me was the plentitude of fresh veggies in the lo mein. The beef and chicken teriyaki stick appetizers are both amazing and grilled to perfection, so tender and never overdone. The fried pork dumplings are also a must-order every time, the sauce is so unique and better than any other dumpling sauce I've had! I always get the Mongolian beef, the large amount of onions and scallions is my favorite part, it's just a touch spicy. The general tso's chicken, sesame chicken, Szechuan chicken have all been delicious. I look forward to trying more items each time but it's going to be hard to stray from my favorites. read more

I've been going here on and off for years. The last few times have been mediocre, but today's recent visit was particularly awful. I ordered three entrees for my family. My General chicken was hard and chewy. The fried rice was bland. The white rice was rock hard, and the chow mein had NO NOODLES! When I called and complained, they had the nerve to tell me that the little stale crackers that come in a bag are the noodles! I have had chow mein and lo mein for many, many years, and this was in no way chow mein. $11 for some sauteed onions and bean sprouts. What a rip-off. After this last visit, I will not be returning. This place has the best sweet and sour chicken. So many places lately have very small chicken pieces, underneath all the breading, but they are a nice size here. They even threw in an extra eggroll for free and it was delicious too. I appreciated a couple fortune cookies in the order also. The eggroll was nice and crunchy. The veggie fried rice and lo mein didn't have a lot of veggies in it. I would suggest some broccoli, snow peas or even some more carrots and peas. My family and I love coming here! We come here pretty often and are always satisfied! The prices are great at about $10 per dinner combination. You get your main dish, white or fried rice AND an egg roll in the combinations. We ordered 2 boneless spare ribs, a chicken lo mein and crab rangoons! The name Green Tea has been around at different places in Mandarin. The location here on San Jose Blvd and Crown Point has been awhile. Someone recommended bec I complained there is no good, close Chinese take our. Boy am I glad I did; it is my go to when I'm in the mood and I've always been pleased! I do like a bit of heat so I order whatever in "garlic sauce" oh yea..love it! Honestly I do not prefer green peppers in my options and they don't seem to use much if any. My last order: Chicken in garlic sauce had plenty of chicken and broccoli, mushrooms, pea pods, chestnuts, carrots...I'm sure more veggies but can't remember. I stopped by Green Tea for the very first time to order some House Special Fried Rice to-go. Per my observation, this place had a steady amount of foot traffic, leading me to believe the food is pretty fast and special here. And it did not take me long to get my order either.   So when I got home, I was antsy to sample a little bit of it. The rice... in layman's terms was... No Bueno. And in pasta talk, the consistency of the rice tasted "Al Dente".   Now, I may not have a PHD degree in Riceology but I do know my rice and my seeds. It took me a hour to choose which fast food chinese I wanted and after 60 minutea of reviews and pictures I ordered takeout from here. Sweet and sour chicken (not my usual order) with beef lo mein, a side of white rice and crab ragoons. The sweet and sour chicken was a bit hard, the beef lo mein was just okay (it had a flavor I wasn't familiar with) but at least the crab ragoons had enough cream cheese. The food was just okay, I should've ordered the cashew chicken because I believe I would've been more satisfied, but you live and you learn. I know Erica has probably written at least one review about Green Tea, but let me know tell how much I love it. Normally we're a pseudo lazy family so I like to call in my order for delivery. I am always greeted by a FRIENDLY (goes a long way) voice, QUICK delivery and DELICIOUS food. Most people do not get full off Chinese take out, however if I eat one shrimp egg roll I'm good. Speaking of the egg rolls...I have never seen such large shrimp in an egg roll! My wife is doing Keto so we always have special orders. They always get the orders correct and my fried rice is never greasy. It takes a bit of calling to get through to them sometimes because they are pretty busy because anyone who tries this place once is a repeat offender. I know i know.. you're thinking yellow rice!? I was too, but I think I'm converted! Their fried rice is full of flavor and is so light and fluffy that you can't shovel it in fast enough!
