Quick service and tasty food. Imo one of the better Chinese takeout restaurants around the Pittsburgh area. I would have given it 5 stars but the veggie lo Mein was practically all noodles. The veggies that were in it were tasty but practically non existent. Beef lo mein was tasty as was the veggie spring roll. I will order from here again as it was very tasty but hope to actually get some veggies with my order next time. If so I'll give another review and make it 5 stars. The food was good, and the crab rangoon was fresh. Their fried rice doesn't have egg in it so it's a little bland, but everything else had good flavor. The chicken-on-a-stick was also nice and juicy. The Moo goo gai pan is the best I've ever had! If you're not feeling well try this dish. The serving was so generous, I had 3 meals with the rice. So many favorites. I've never been disappointed! Another Covid19 review. So my family ordered take out from China House. I will admit they are super fast! Our meals were ready within 10 minutes. Orders were packaged and correct. People doing the take out seemed friendly enough. Portions were not very large in my opinion. I've had better chicken fried rice at other Chinese Restaurants. My oldest son enjoyed his pepper steak and my wife enjoyed her meal. Won ton soup was ok. I would definitely try another option when I crave Chinese food again before returning to China House. I continue to order from here as I like their food. But I need to get it delivered to my hotel when I stay there. For some reason, the Grub Hub people only drop off your order in the hotel lobby. And don't even tell anyone. Or in one case, actually left it sitting outside by the garbage can! From now on I will do a "cash tip". I decided to try this place since I was in the area with my daughter. I ordered General Tso's which was good. Tasted fresh, portion was a little small for $13 compared to other Chinese food places, but was very happy with it. I ordered for my daughter chicken fried rice which again seemed like a small portion (1 cardboard rice box) for $7. When I discovered she was only eating the rice out of it, I tried the chicken and it was like rubber. Usually a sign of frozen chicken going straight into the fryer. I really love this place. I think they have good quality food for a very reasonable and cheap price. They're pickup time is maximum 10 minutes... they are VERY attentive and eager to work fast for their customers. China House defiantly has the best "Happy Family" plate around as well featuring chicken, shrimp, and beef. I would pick this take out over any sit down Chinese restaurant. Very well priced. They were in the middle of cleaning up when I came in and placed an order. Two sweet & sour chicken combos. A very simple order. Came with rice and an egg roll with each. If yelp would let me give zero starts I would. Everyone who works here is super rude! Ordered the chow mein which I've order every Chinese place , however their chow mein is pretty much dog food. I explained to them that this isn't what I ordered and showed them a google search for chow mein and was told that google is wrong. They refused to refund the money and when I asked if they could make the corrected food they said only if I paid for it. Other food was awful and rubbery.
