I am coincidentally maybe fittingly " In China"'as I sit in my Shanghai hotel lobby penning this 5 star review of the wonderful " China Inn" in Bethpage NY. What separates this takeout place on Broadway from the others in Nassau County, Long Island New York? A) A great warm vibe and a beautiful & simple decor that makes you pause and sit and enjoy the food . B) Really tasty, fresh and hot food. C) Lot of love from the owners. I was pleasantly surprised at the warmth and the care of the kind lady who greeted me, smiled and genuinely spent time with me asking about my likes and then ensured my fried tofu n broccoli with extra garlic sauce was perfect. She also checked up on me while I was eating and asked if I needed anything else. D) Her attention to detail with every takeout order was a 100 percent. Brown rice vs white rice, sauce or no sauce ...! E) We have a new winner for the best egg drop soup on Long Island. F) Great crunchy noodles. G) Easy free parking right in front of the restaurant. Food was delivered hot and fresh! Venue is clean and the owner is friendly! The won-ton soup was delicious! The roast pork Lo Mein was tasty! Shrimp with cashews was very good! Visited again and it had another delicious meal! Spare Ribs are so good as are the fried chicken wings! read more

I always order here and last night the food was horrible. Fried Rice was very light in color and tasteless and egg rolls tasted like card board. Chicken and broccoli sauce was tasteless too. Not sure what happened but enough of an issue that I will be finding a new place. Was there new owners or a new cook? Was a totally waste of money read more

5-21-24. I was told by a few people that this place was recently taken over by new owners. I don't know this to be true for sure, but I do feel the food has somewhat improved from what it used to be. I've avoided coming here in the past because I felt the food was of lesser quality than other take out places in the area. But the last few months, I've visited a few times and was way more impressed with the food than I used to be. It's standard American Chinese with a menu that's very familiar. Nothing has been a total standout, but everything I've ordered (and my family died try to mix it up each visit) has been of decent quality which provided for a satisfying meal. I usually call in the order ahead of time .......and no matter if I order $10 worth of food or $100 worth of food, the wait time is always 10 minutes. read more

One of my favorite Chinese spots on the island... I drive over 20minutes each way just to pick up food here! They are always friendly & have super fast service, usually in about 10 minutes your order is ready! I truly love this spot there Chicken Wings, Boneless Spareribs, Shrimp & Broccoli, Kung Poa Chicken, Pork Fried Rice are all top level!!!! Bangingness & you don't get that, super cotton mouth after eating there food. The only downside about this spot is the Lo mein & General Tso chicken sub bar . You can't win them all, but def everything else makes up for it! Lunch special portions are huge, not those half ass plates! Full servings all the way... My husband and I ordered the most common food ever from the menu, general tso chicken and sweet and sour chicken. It is really hard to screw up the taste as our expectation wasn't high, we just want some take out Chinese food. However, the general tso doesn't taste like the usual general tso and the sweet and sour chicken just doesn't taste good. Please improve, we are willing to give it a try again. read more

Born and raised in Bethpage and I have given this restaurant more than its allotted chances to produce delicious meals for us. The food wasn't even edible the last two times we ordered. I am not a picky eater either. But when you order a dish of house mei fun and you cannot find the vegetables or meat you know you are screwed. Also my husband ordered sesame beef that was absolutely disgusting, if you could find the beef all fried crust with sweet sauce. Garbage here we come. read more

My favorite Chinese takeout place around. Sometimes we sit there and eat (regular take-out restaurant with a few tables). It's always clean and they're pretty quick. I've been going here for years and it's under new ownership now (for a couple of years I think) but the quality didn't change. Neither did the phone number, which I've had memorized since 7th grade. They can alter their menu for your diet, so if you are vegetarian, vegan, kosher, or allergic to something, just let them know. Tried this place out for the first time the other day. Ordered Sesame chicken, General Tso's chicken, dumplings & fried rice. The chicken was delish and white meat as I had requested. The Wanton Soup and Pork Fried Rice were bland but edible, the General Tso's chicken was very good. They have a large stack of Egg Rolls stored at room temperature, not sure about Health Department Regulations, but food shouldn't be left at room temperature for more than 2 hours... Good prices and portions, although I won't be returning due to the fact that they charge a $1.00 fee for anyone using a credit card for an order under $10.00; I paid cash, but I boycott all merchants that do this. read more

We usually order take out from China Inn Kitchen at least twice a month and the food is always delicious. My daughter had a birthday party this weekend and I ordered food for the party. They were very helpful in helping me pick out a menu for the party as well as letting me know how much food to order to feed the crowd. I was impressed that the food was equally delicious as when we order individual servings on this larger scale of ordering. Everything was great and we had plenty of food for everyone.
