Its painful for me to write this as this has been my local "go-to" for Chinese takeout. I believe that I must once again re-activate the search for delicious Chinese in my neighborhood. Recently had an experience that left me unimpressed. I ordered shrimp with garlic sauce, general's chic and an appetizer of fried shrimp Here's what I got: shrimp with lobster sauce(never understood the appeal for this dish-is that beef crumble and egg white?? Gross), generals chic was tough and chewy white meat( maybe it had been frozen?) And fried shrimp that were battered in? ?bread crumbs?? And also tasted as though they had been prepared that morning and re-cooked as they were rock hard. Epic fail. read more

Under promised, over delivered! This neighborhood Chinese take out menu was in a small pile given to me by the front desk at the Homewood Suites. My expectations were modest based on the generic menu and reviews. I used the Yelp app to order and hoped for the best. An email told me to expect delivery in 45 minutes to an hour. My food arrived within 15 minutes. The order was accurate, even with special requests. The deliveryman was friendly. The food was hot! Chicken wings were cooked nicely, flavored as I requested and tasted very fresh. Beef with Stringbeans was nicely spiced. The stringbeans looked a bit weary and were slightly overcooked, but still had some snap in them. The hot & sour soup was mediocre, but edible. If the beans were fresher and the soup a north better, I would have added another star. I wouldn't hesitate to order from here again. Would recommend ordering online if possible, I had difficulty with communication over the phone. The order was correct when I picked up despite not being able to understand when they read order back over phone. We ordered the General Tso's white chicken, Beef Lo Mein combo, and boneless chicken. The boneless chicken was good, and there was a ton!! I didn't count before the kids dig in, but it looked like there was many more than the 10 that come with it. It also comes with brown gravy which was good too. General Tso's sauce was delicious! The drawback here was the chicken was very tough. It was white meat, but must've been either re-cooked to order or wayyy over cooked. Fried rice was ok, a little bland for my taste. Beef Lo Mein was good, nothing remarkable but overall decent flavor and a good amount of beef in it. Egg rolls were good! read more

Good rangoons. Really good bbq charred boneless spare ribs, not fatty. Ok beef teriyaki. Good rice. Good golden fingers. Decent pad thai. Tasted like duck sauce tho. Side of egg foo young gravy was really disgusting. Brown oily chemical burnt tasting sludge. Good thing it wasnt on anything yet. (I whipped up some plain chicken gravy to go with the rice) All in all...it was a success. This was only the first go. We will try again, the gravy may have been a weird mistake. read more

Had food here for the first time and had it delivered. Delivery was about 15 minutes ahead of time, and the food came FAST and HOT. I ordered the egg foo young combo and wow, it was delicious! I also did a side of steam dumplings which were also delicious. Everything was very tasty and I am not talking salty like most fast-food Chinese. This is the best Chinese fast food in Warwick in my opinion. I also think the portions were very good size. I had left-overs for lunch. I will definitely order from here again. read more

Actually it's happened 1st time when I ordered a food for more Spicy it's come just normal spicy .. I didn't say nothing about that .. now second time I ordered a food beef fried rice very very spicy.. it's just not even medium spicy I order sesame chicken and hot oil they send me chicken wings .. ohh wow .. Great place for quick Chinese takeout! They're usually pretty busy, but there's never much of a wait. My personal favorites are hot and sour soup, pork lo mein, Singapore mei fun, and Mongolian beef. Portions are huge and prices are very reasonable. Their takeout menus have coupons for free crab rangoon or sweet and sour chicken with a future purchase. Ordering by menu number is recommended. read more

This place never fails us when time sneaks away from us and hunger rushes in we usually call China Inn for fast delivery hot soup and flavor filled Pad Thai noodles with shrimp the egg foo young is never dry . As busy as they are the people that work here are they always have time to smile and be pleasant. You can place orders on the internet or the phone sometimes when they are training someone new the phone can be a challenge because of language be patient it is worth it! Their beef teriyaki sticks are literally cut up and have onions on them.. now I've been to a lot of places and have gotten beef teriyaki but never like this place. When I order it I want a full stick of it. Not cut up ones. Super disappointed that they didn't state on their menu that that's how they make them here because I definitely would have went somewhere else and gladly spend $14 on something I really wanted. Fried dumplings were on point! I thought 8 would be too much but we ate every single one! The house special lo Mein was pretty good too! It had a couple different meats and needed a splash of soy sauce, but was even better the next morning. Absolutely crap for food. The egg rolls were just a big undercooked, doughy mess. Kung pao chicken (hard to hose that up) mostly celery, microscopic chicken pieces and spice obviously geared to infantile taste (ie no heat whatsoever). Oh, the white sticky rice was good. I work front desk at the Hampton inn and suites on post road in warwick. China Inn gave us some free gift cards, so I decided to try it out on my lunch break. I got the ginger chicken with broccoli and white rice (the same thing I get at every Chinese place) All I have to say is that I now recommend china inn to any guest who is looking for takeout Chinese. The chicken was tender, juicy, and the sauce had more of a "kick" than your average ginger sauce. The broccoli was crisp and fresh, and the dish was piping hot. I can also say that the portion was pretty big for the price. This place is awesome! I would totally go again, and I recommend it all the time to my guests! read more

Warwick is this odd little area where there aren't a lot of delivery options for really anything, much less Chinese Food. Luckily China Inn delivers. It's good for Americanized Chinese food, offerings are pretty standard, good prices and portions are pretty good. Not the best Chinese I've ever had but good place to order from. read more

China Inn restaurant is a great restaurant in Rhode Island. My favorite food is Lo Mein. I recommend people to try out their Lo Mein, Chow Mein and sea food combination. I'm an out-of-towner. I sought this place out because they have ma po tofu on the menu. PROS: * They were very accommodating to all the adjustments I wanted to make in my order (e.g., chicken noodle soup, but add veggies and use mei fun noodles; mixed veggies, but no sauce, just sautéed, etc.). Normally, many places would take the opportunity to charge me additionally for the adjustments, but China Inn did not. CONS: * They over charged me on my credit card slip. Albeit it was off by only 30 cents, but when you're signing for that credit card slip, you don't know how much the total is. You just take their word for it. * They got my order wrong. I went here specifically for ma po tofu. But what I got was a Buddha Happiness or something like that. * Their chicken fried rice, which I had customized (extra green onion), looked like they mixed plain fried rice ready to go and add some chicken before putting it into the take out container. Thus, the chicken pieces in the fried rice are pale in comparison and lacks flavor. The entire dish did not look like they made fresh fried rice. I ordered this customized specifically so that they will make a fresh batch for me, but I didn't think about getting my rice this way. I'll be going to another place next time I'm here. read more

This is our usual go-to for chinese take out. We love the chicken fried rice, chicken lo mein, chicken wings and fried wontons. We are just out of their 2 mile delivery range, so we usually drive there to get it. They are always super friendly, especially to my son, everytime we go there! Loving the food is also a plus! Although, it seems they have changed wonton wrappers, to thicker ones, so the fried wontons aren't as crispy as they used to be, but otherwise we still love everything else! read more

I've noticed the mixed reviews here but my meal was excellent. This was my first visit but definitely not the last. The steamed dumplings were perfectly moist and nicely seasoned, if on the salty side. The sauce had a touch of garlic and scallions and went well with the dumplings.
