Ty Yelp reviewers for leading us here! Chose this place based on great reviews. Very happy to find this gem! All four people in our party really loved the food here. Hubby had the chicken rice soup and he loved it! Loaded with chicken and flavorful broth. Our entire group raved about the crab rangoons. Creamy and crisp.truly yummy. My lunch special chicken and broccoli was done perfectly. Tender chicken and crisp al dente broccoli in a rich brown gravy. The ribs were also tender and had great seasoning. I loved the lightness of their tempura batter-chicken fingers were the best I've ever had. I had a Mai tai. It was well balanced with a hint of sweet, tart and lightness. Really enjoyed it. We will definitely return here!! Kudos to the chef-excellent work and superior service from the servers also. Super friendly and attentive.

This was like our 4th time here. It was pretty empty when we came and it looked like they forgot about us since it took around 10 minutes to get served. Saw the hostess motion to the waitress to go to us, which was unusual since there were only two tables being used at the time. Food was good when it arrived.

Went here on a Friday night walked in and there was only 1 other table there. Staff was friendly, service was good but that's where it ended. I ordered the chicken pad Thai and my friend had sushi. We ordered nime chow as an appetizer it was awful the rice was over cooked and the peanut sauce was super chunky. The sushi roll again had overcooked rice it fell apart just picking it up. Pad Thai was not a typical pad Thai and the noodles were overcooked and the sauce was not peanut sauce. I will not be back, they do have hibachi not sure how that is but there are way better options in RI

This was my first time ordering from new Asia house. I ordered the chicken fried rice. It was packed with flavor, not overcooked, but it did leave a slight burnt after taste. If I had to guess it was made earlier and just warmed up before going out. I ordered chicken lo mein. This was absolutely fantastic, it was the right consistency. It was packed with juicy flavors. Everything was cooked evenly and when I had received it, it was steaming hot. Lastly, I had ordered the dumplings the fried dumplings and whatever is inside these dumplings is unbelievably fresh, there were some kind of vegetable in with the meat and it was insanely fresh. I don't know if I had ever had such a fresh dumpling! The dumpling sauce on the other hand was a bit overpowering on the salt aspect. I believe it has soy sauce in it. It was just a little too much soy sauce for my liking, but a very light sauce. Overall, I loved my meal and I ordered from DoorDash and everything was still steaming besides the rice. I very much enjoyed my meal and will be going back and ordering from them again. Rating : 9/10

Silver Crystal in West Warwick suddenly stopped serving dim sum, so my friend and I went to New Asia. I had been there before and didn't care for it, but we were hungry and it had been 5 years, so we went in. It is clean spacious , and the hostess welcoming, and we were promptly seated. It was noon on a weekday, but there were only 2 other parties in there. We ordered - I got Ha Gao ( shrimp dumplings) (5pcs) $6.75 and Siu Mai (5pcs) $6.75. The shrimp dumplings were not good. The rice dough was too thick and the shrimp paste was dry. The Siu Mai was a bit better, but tasted a bit weird. Not sure what was it that made it taste that way. Just not good. My friend got Nime Chow (vegetable) $5.75 and Wonton Soup-(sm) 4.75. She said the nime show was tasteless and the wonton soup was just ok. She is someone who pretty much likes everything, but when we left she said "Let's not go back. There are way better places out there."

My night out secret weapon. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's like your classic Chinese restaurant with unassuming decor and great service, but they have so much more than meets the eye.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The array of Asian dishes - sushi, hibachi entrees, pad thai - makes it great for groups. The cocktail menu is the showstopper. The prices are truly unbeatable. Where else can you get an $8 mudslide in the middle of Winter? I love a place I can sweet potato roll and spider roll without breaking the bank!

Tried this place out for the first time and it was absolutely delicious. The staff quickly attended to me and provided me with a seat at the bar. I ordered my food and it was brought out in under ten minutes. The soup was good and the wontons were good but the actual lunch combo was amazing! Great portions, great food, great staff and beautiful restaurant with nice music! Definitely coming back!

If you are Asian there is a big chance upwards of 80% of the time you will crave for Asian food. And here we go. Staying in Rhode Island for the long weekend, exploring the different corners of Northeast corridor, and we narrowed down our choices to New Asia House. We ordered some dimsums, fried rice, crispy pork chop and chicken chopsuey. Green tea and ginger ale for the drinks. Everything we ordered are good except their version of soup dumpling (xiaolongbao) and chopsuey is different from what I am used to. The dumpling has similar shape outside but it is full of meat and almost no soup inside. The chicken chopsuey is serve with bean sprouts and onions. I am no expert to Chinese cuisine and I am not sure what specific region this dish prep is. Nonetheless, everything taste good. I love their crispy pork chop and their very good prep of general tso. My daughter gave it two thumbs up and commented it really taste good. Overall, I highly recommend this place for your Asian cuisine craving. The staffs are nice and the place has a huge space inside though it lack some ambient music.

New Asia is one of our favorite Chinese food spots and somewhere we go on a biweekly basis. The quality of the food is amazing & they are always consistent in using the freshest ingredients and authentic flavors. We love doing hibachi and ordering scorpion bowls! I have tried many options but the ones we really rave about are: Lomein, egg rolls, boneless ribs, scallops & broccoli

Most of…read morethe Yelp photos hit the dim sum, but most of the customers in the large room stick to memory lane. The place is divided into two halves: tiny bar and three rows of booths on one side; large tables with chairs on the other side. Combo plates available both at lunch (M-F) and dinner (any time). -- Sticky Sweet Soy Garlic Sauce Wings: Wow-worthy, with the darkest sauce I've ever seen, looking like someone poured Hershey's syrup on them. Characteristics of teriyaki, soy, and garlic, and intense sweetness, but all balanced and very different, and there may even be Hershey's in there afterall. More importantly, quite delicious. The wings themselves were really good too, bringing firm to crispy skins and tender, juicy interiors. The sauce hardens over time, so eat these fast. But you'll want to anyway. Near-elite to elite. -- Rice Noodle with Shrimp: Lackluster compared to other versions I've tried. Noodle not as fresh and slippery. Sauce not as flavorful. Shrimp were good but spaced out. Below average. -- Sweet and Sour Chicken (on a dinner combo): Ping pong sized/shaped balls of chicken instead of the usual fingers, but these were excellent. Very high meat to batter ratio, good crispness to the exterior, and decent tenderness inside. Sauce served in the side. No pineapples or cherries, but good contrasting flavors to the sauce and no glop. Well above average, even without the fruit. -- Pork Fried Rice (on the combo): A mixed bag, this had light grains with pleasant but subtle flavor, long-in-the-tooth dry pork nuggetry, and some onions. Flavorful or not, that rice had freshness, moistness, and bounce. All things considered, a little above average, but with potential for higher. -- Egg Roll (on the combo): Felt limp to the touch but had a delicate crispness to it. Inside, a mix of celery, cabbage, and pork, with decent flavor and a moo shi feel. Not bad. A little above average. Lots of ups and downs here, but a reluctant 4 stars thanks to the brilliance of those wings. I scouted plates on other tables on my way to the restroom and saw similar highs and lows, but more highs. Even if the potential goes unfulfilled (and I have higher hopes for the old school than the dim sim), the wings alone would bring me back.

The thing I've always liked about LaMei is that they always have fresh options. For AYCE the portions are pretty good. I wasn't expecting to get as much as I did for an order, so something to think about when placing orders. Sometimes you might get a couple of lonely mushrooms or 3 green leaves for a serving of Bok Choy. That was not the case here. The fish and meats were fresh and if you opt for the VIP option, there are appetizers included to nibble on while you cook your other stuff. You also get some more premium options and the hand pulled noodles had a nice chew to them. The service was good. They were efficient with cleaning plates as we used them and the food came out quickly. The sauce station has all the staples you'd expect to assemble your sauce. The AYCE option makes things a bit more affordable, but even if you don't use it, the fresh food will make it worthwhile.

When we went inside, there was only one other party there and no music, so just whispers and the sounds of utensils against plates. There are about 4-5 booths and 1-2 regular tables to choose from. Since l am not familiar with Sichuan cuisine, I had Al help me choose my dishes. I went with the dumplings in chili sauce, fried rice, eggplant in garlic sauce, and chongquin chicken. While we waited, we were given water. The dishes came out at different times. They first served us the dumplings which were really good. The sauce they were in did have some chili sauce, but it was mostly like a sweet soy sauce and really tasty. It came with about 6 dumplings with a perfectly cooked wrapper and filled with flavorful pork - simple but delicious. Next was the eggplant. I was expecting a heavy garlic presence, but it was more like a sweet and sour sauce. The eggplant was very tender, but really hot so we had to wait to let it cool down a bit. The rice came after. I honestly think this was one of my favorite dishes since it was perfectly cooked, great flavor, and good portion. Lastly, the chicken came out. There was a large pile of chicken, but half of it was peppers. The chicken was cut into little bite sized pieces, each fried perfectly. Some pieces were more tongue numbing than others but it was nothing aggressive; very gentle and comfortable numb. I would have liked if there were music, but the no music was fine too; an escape from chaotic reality. Our total was around $50, which wasn't bad for the amount of food we got. I would come back to try other items.

Han Palace is one of those places that you bring the family to every week, and they too have a die hard following in the community. And for good reason! You can find Keith there every day, always on the move. When I went, he was the one who took us to our table. I couldn't help by admire the art etched into the glass dividers in the restaurant, and the high backs to the booths allow you an intimate experience with your dining companion/s. While he was camera shy and didn't want to be in a photo (which I can respect) he was more than eager to share his thoughts on his crab rangoon! I mentioned he has quite the fan base for the appetizer and he shared with me that he workshopped his recipe for a bit before settling on what he serves today. For him, he doesn't like a strong fishy taste. Keith also freely shared his secret touches, white pepper and scallions. A note I will remember next time I make my own. When asked for a staff recommendation for what to have with our rangoon, the server suggested the General Tso's Chicken, one of their most popular dishes. Before long the food arrived and I was excited to see what the hype was all about. On first bite, what you immediately notice is these are GENEROUS on the filling. If you like a fat rangoon, this is going to be right up your alley. The taste is cream cheese forward, with the kani and scallions supporting characters to bring it all together. A small warning, be careful how you bite into these, the filling can squirt out!! Normally, I am the type to roll my eyes at ordering General Tso at a Chinese restaurant. It's like the Chicken Tikka Masala of Chinese food. However! I see why this is popular. The chicken was fresh, the slightly crispy texture holding up in the sauce. The sauce was tangy, just the right amount to evenly coat the chicken with some extra for the rice and a level of heat between mild and medium. The rice was a savory hearty base for the chicken. My quest for the best crab rangoon in Rhode Island brings me to the best places. I'm glad to have discovered this community icon, and look forward to my next visit!
