The flavor was good with just the right amount of heat but it definitely needed to be warmer. Our main entrees were the shrimp, chicken & scallops with garlic sauce and vegetables; the eggplant and shrimp; and the healthy steamed chicken with broccoli. It really pains me to say this but all three dishes were not served hot and the sauces were really not heated through and the flavors were so disappointing - nothing like the Chen's we knew and loved. The veggies in the first dish were raw and hard peppers and onions and carrots and the broccoli was very raw and barely even heated in the healthy chicken dish. The shrimp were very good and the eggplant was tasty. Maybe there is a new chef or this was just an off night. Very disappointing meal, we are sorry to say.

The fried chive dumpling is our favorite dumpling. We have tried the soup dumpling too and this is best. My husband enjoyed his egg drop soup too. It was the most tender and delicious mongolian beef I have ever had. Wow! The shrimp lo mein was a great complement to the Mongolian beef. The sauce on the noodles were so flavorful. They were very generous with the shrimp too. There were some other items that I definitely want to try the next time.

Overall, this is a nice little place that seems to be fairly well run. I suggest going for the dim sum and giving up on expectations for anything on the menu that isn't dim sum. Their service is quick both when you are dining in and for takeout. The staff is really nice and helpful in providing recommendations.
