WOW this place is expensive! I We ordered 4 appetizers, 1 small soup and 3 entrees. Total came to more than $65! My calculations (from an old menu) came to $37. Worse yet, when I called and asked about the discrepancy, we were told that the menu was old and there's nothing they could do about that. The lack of concern for pleasing a brand new customer is worth never, ever giving them another nickel of my money. The food was okay but certainly not great. Also,when I ordered, I was told that there were 4 dumplings per order, and 4 chicken wings per order - so we got two orders of each (adding to the cost...). We ended up with 8 per order! MEH is right! I was hungry, so I settled on China King. I was also lazy, so I settled on delivery (even though China King is approximately 3 minutes from my house.) Ordered a large shrimp fried rice and 10 chicken wings for a whooping total of $30 and some change. If I knew I was going to be spending an arm and a leg on Chinese takeout, I would have just eaten my own arm and leg. I kid. Also, don't ask why I ordered that many wings. This place is absolutely yummy; albeit, the charge ($30) for the food was a bit exorbitant. We ordered egg drop soup, vegetable fried rice, 2 gigantic shrimp egg rolls, and General Tso's Chicken. The food was delicious, and the egg rolls were gigantic. I have never seen egg rolls so thick. We only had to wait for about 20 mins for our food to arrive, and the driver was so kind that I gave him a generous tip. Stopped in with my brother the other day around 9:15-9:30 PM. Not one customer in the place. Sat at a table way in the back near the entrance. Took my mask off to take a sip of water at the table, right away the woman is screaming at me from the kitchen maybe 20 yards away at least, put my mask back on. I had lunch with my son here yesterday. This wasn't where we were originally planning to go, but the nearby restaurant we first went to had closed. Be aware that this place has more of a carryout feel than a restaurant feel -- bright lights, formica tables, pictures of entrees on the wall. You get the idea. That doesn't mean the food was bad, just don't show up expecting ambiance. The staff was friendly enough, though. We ordered the basics -- fried dumplings, shrimp egg roll, pork fried rice, General Tso's Chicken. The food was good, the dumplings maybe a bit better than good. We'd eaten here before, but it's more a place to head when in the neighborhood looking for a meal rather than a destination restaurant. I just received my order from them, and while the food is great, I'm disappointed that I was unable to leave the driver a tip. I placed my order here through Yelp and paid for it with my credit card. When the driver arrived 30 minuets early I was unable to add a tip before I signed my credit card statement since I do not carry cash. I have left a driver a tip thousands of times with other delivery orders and founding it frustrating to not be able to do so this evening. I love China King. I have ordered from here several times now. They also deliver. The portions are huge. I always buy the small size. The large is too much for 1 person. They also make my meals to order. I will usually call in and order a beef and broccoli without the carrots. The food tends to run a bit on the greasy side. It is always given to me in a brown paper bag. I remember once that the paper was soaked in oil the car ride. They accept credit cards, which is a huge plus for me. My only critique would be that a LARGER portion of rice needs to be served with the dishes. I typically order the medium size. However, the portion of rice is so small that I end up making my own rice at home. Otherwise, the food here is really yummy and I recommend it for those looking for an escape from Panda Express or other large national chains. read more

It is not gourmet Chinese food, but that's probably impossible to get in a delivery/carry-out place. Love their Chicken Corn Soup! For something different this time I ordered Kung Po Chicken adn what a dissapointment. I expected, like I get everywhere else chicken, peanuts and hot sauce and maybe leeks but NO this place put in over 1/2 carrots and green peppers (filler to give less of the meat and save them mney). If they had put that in the description I would never have ordered it as I cant eat the peppers due to an allergy. Therefore I cant eat the dish so it is going in the trash. I am now going to find another place to get my soup and other things. This place is close and gives great service but putting fillers in a dish and not telling people is totally unacceptable. But I assume that they think it is their right to do that and not warn people who have allergies of things that they add to dishes that others dont. What a waste. Service sucks. They made a big deal because I requested that they put my freshly fried chicken wings in a paper bag, instead of sandwiched in a styrofoam container (hot chicken wings tend to melt the styrofoam container, thus seeping it into your fried chicken wings and poisoning your body). They said they were going to charge me extra to put it into a paper bag, when in fact a styrofoam container probably would cost more so I was saving them money. . They didn't end up doing what I requested because of language barrier and I grew frustrated and left. If you're going to run a business in America, please learn to speak some sort of English. Rant over. This was meant to be posted years ago but I posted it at the wrong establishment until someone brought it up to me.
