Sweet and Sour chicken with fried rice lunch special comes with an egg roll

Good amount of portion for lunch this was for $9.40. The rice tasted a bit burnt but overall good. Service was fast as well didn't have to wait for too long.

For 9 bucks, you can't beat this lunch special: a full order of Sesame chicken and shrimp fried rice, with a egg roll and crab rangoon on the side. This was enough food to easily be two meals. First time that I've seen spicy sesame chicken, so keep that in mind if you want it mild make sure to ask. Check it out!

General Tso's chicken (added sesame seeds) and shrimp fried rice. YUM!

I'm surprised this place doesn't have more reviews! I'm from out of town but in the week I've been here I've tried a few Chinese takeout places, and this was by far my favorite. I got the General Tso's chicken combo which came with shrimp fried rice, an egg roll, and a crab rangoon. The chicken was moist and there was plenty of sauce - yum! The rice, roll, and rangoon were all delicious. No tables so be prepared to take it to-go.

Their combination fried rice and orange chicken are very good. They now accept credit cards. Double win!

Solid Chinese food. It's what you expect from a carryout Chinese restaraunt. There's two chairs to wait and the rest of the restaurant is the kitchen. The large sized entrees are huge and provide a couple of meals worth of food. Lots of veggies in the cashew chicken and kung bao chicken which was a nice change. It hits the spot when you crave Chinese food and don't want to visit a chain.

Good whole in the wall (literally) chinese place. Not over seasoned and fair priced.

All of the food was very good. The Mai Tai was also good. Some of the best "Chinese food" in the area. Service The service was not as good as the food. Being early evening there were not many patrons. Wait staff was doing other tasks and were not as attentive as I would have liked. Had to leave the table to seek help once or twice. Ambiance The ambiance is ok. Nothing special.

The menu has a wide variety of options--everything from sushi to ramen--so it worked perfectly for our larger group since everyone could find something they liked. Even in the middle of the day (around 3:00 PM), they were able to seat all of us together with no issue, which was much appreciated. Service was a little on the slower side, but the staff was attentive and kind, making sure we had what we needed. The food itself was excellent--fresh, flavorful, and presented well. Prices were right around what I expected for this type of restaurant, and definitely worth it for the quality and portion sizes. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxed, making it an easy spot to sit down and enjoy a meal. Plus, the air conditioning was a huge bonus in the North Chicago heat! Recommend this spot if you're in the area, especially if you have a group and want lots of options to choose from.
