Chin dribblin dumplings made fresh! Employees are very knowledgeable and tell you which items taste better pan seared & which ones taste better boiled. I highly recommend trying this restaurant, they have frozen options too. Great price!

Great little place. Yummy fresh dumplings. We really enjoyed our lunch. This is more of a fast food type place. Very clean and bright. Fast service. You can watch the kitchen at work, cooking. We found the dumplings to be hot and fresh...large portions. The side salads are great. I don't like beets but their beet salad was crunchy and great. The tea eggs were nice. Really enjoyed our meal. We will be back! Highly recommend.

Tried the shrimp & pork with chive dumplings (steamed) and a side of broccoli, plus grabbed the beef & onion pan-fried dumplings to go -- *both* were insanely good! I honestly can't pick a favorite. They give you soy sauce, vinegar, and chili oil so you can mix your own dipping sauce -- I liked being able to make my "perfect combo." The staff was super friendly, and it's so cool watching them make fresh dumplings right through the kitchen window! The place has such a bright, happy vibe, and there's tons of parking in the shared lot. 10/10 would go back again (and again)!

    Amazing beef and onion dumplings!!!

Amazing food, amazing service and a nice, clean restaurant! I could eat here everyday!

I really love to eat here, but there is nothing here my husband can eat. So I send him off to another nearby restaurant while I eat dumplings. The dumplings are worth the extra wait for them to pan fry them. Very plain and pleasant dining room that fits well with the simplicity of the dumplings. Everyone there is very pleasant and helpful.

I was so curious about Dangela's Dumplings after driving by the restaurant. We were in the area again so we placed an order for carryout. These are made from scratch so they told us it would be about 25 minutes. You can have them boiled or pan fried ($1extra). We ordered the shrimp, pork and chive dumplings and the chicken and mushroom dumplings. They come 15 to an order, which is more than enough. I arrived after 25 minutes but still had to wait another 10 minutes. The dumplings smelled wonderful and made us quite hungry during our 20 minute drive home. The dumplings were still warm and the shrimp ones were like soup dumplings with a lot of liquid. We had ordered them fried so they were a little chewy. Next time I would eat them at the restaurant and order them boiled. The flavors were quite tasty although the dough was a little thick. Definitely one order was enough to share. My car still smells like dumplings.

Fast casual place. View the menus on the wall above the counters and order and pay at counter. They will call your table number to pick up your order when ready. I think I waited 10 minutes, and there was only one customer at that time. They make everything from scratch and made to order, so I have no problem with waiting for food this fresh and delicious! I ordered pan-seared (boiled is other option) Shrimp, pork, and chive dumplings. They were served hot and juicy so be careful when you bite into one because the hot juices will splatter. They offer forks and chop sticks and there is soy sauce, black vinegar, and spicy chili paste on the tables, but the dumplings are great as is! I mixed the black vinegar and spicy paste for a unique flavor that I enjoyed. The side of shredded potatoes and carrots is served cold, and I really liked the flavor, texture, and the cooler temp to offset the hot (temperature) dumplings. Great place and I recommend for scratch made dumplings!

I'm happy we finally tried Dangela's Dumplings out. Located just south of downtown Libertyville on Milwaukee Ave., this place is within easy biking distance. We were greeted right away and asked if we wanted a walk-through of the menu. We accepted and were given various combo options. I tried the steamed shrimp, pork, and Chinese chives dumplings with the beet salad side. My companion chose the pan-fried beef and onion dumplings with the shredded potato side. Aldi, the Citron tea is super refreshing and light. Why didn't we come sooner??? Everything was delicious, fresh, and nicely seasoned. There is a decent amount of seating including counter stools that have a window into the kitchen. We had a really nice chat with one of the owners and are glad we came to a local business owned by a fellow Libertyvillian. Next time, we'll definitely get some of the frozen dumplings (when we aren't on bikes and/or have a bag with us).

New to the area. Pan seared and steamed dumplings are both so good. This will easily become one of my regular spots for comfort food. Staff very nice and pleasant.

We were craving some dumplings so we decided to stop on by. We placed our order for pick up. My bf and I have never been here so we decided to do the build your own dumpling orders. My bf ordered the chicken and mushroom dumplings with a side order of shredded potatoes. I ordered the shrimp, pork and chinese chives dumplings with a side order of veggies. It took around 20 minutes for them to prepare which wasn't bad. When you enter the restaurant, it's quite small but enough to dine in. We were greeted warmly by the cashier who had our order ready to go. We got our order and we're quickly on our way. With each order of dumplings, you get 15 pieces of dumplings and I forgot to say that you could either get them boiled or pan fried. My bf and I got our pan fried. If you chose pan fried, it's a dollar extra. We got pan fried (which is definitely the way to go). Anyways, my bf raved about his dumplings. He was hesitant to get the mushroom and the chicken dumplings initially but he loved them. I loved my dumplings as well. They were succulent, tender and juicy. We got red chili pepper oil and soy sauce and with each dip, it helped to enhance the dumplings yummy flavors. Neither my bf or I were impressed regarding the sides. My bf thought the shredded potatoes would be warm but they were luke warm and not enjoyable. Additionally, with the small amount you received, you might as well not get a side at all. I felt the same way when it came to my veggies. Luke warm and I didn't really care for them. Neither of the sides added something spectacular to the dumplings anyways. Overall, the price was reasonable but would suggest to go for just the dumplings and not the sides. I didn't try any of the boba or teas and it's kinda hard considering that there is a Kung Fu tea right across the street and I'm a Kung Fu tea loyalist. Overall, will keep this place in my rolodex of yumminess if you have a craving for dumplings.

I'm in love. Seriously, I'm in love. I have been looking for a place that offered dim sum and…read moredumplings for a while now (ever since I experienced them at Din Tai Fung and Dough Zone in Seattle) and I can honestly say that Seriously Sanji is a great place. My wife told me there was a dumpling place in Northbrook and took me there for a late lunch the other day. I know that she's not a fan of dumplings, but "took one for the team" and brought me there. We just ordered basic beverages, her a water and I a Coke Zero. She then ordered Pad Thai and I ordered chicken soup dumplings and chicken sanji. The pad thai came out first and it was a huge portion. She barely put a dent into it and it became two additional meals later. She said it was different than other places she's had it and that it was good, but different. I noticed the chicken pieces were huge chunks and the sauce had a little kick to it and wasn't thick, but it was tasty. I first got the chicken soup dumplings. Man, they were good. They're larger than the ones I've had at Din Tai Fung and The Dough Zone, but they sure are delicious. And since I prefer not to drive into the city and spend over an hour on the road to get downtown, to go find some other dumpling/dim sum place; I'm happy there's a great place in the suburbs near me. They rival the other two mentioned previously. Their sauces are great, the dumplings are great. The sanji was delicious. Heck, that's in their darn name. All of it was good. And this is my go to place in the suburbs now. The place is a cute. As you enter the vestibule, there's a dumpling with a body welcoming you in. The place is just all black and red and you wait to be seated. There is a container with chopsticks on each table, but the napkin is wrapped around a fork (most places you have to ask for a fork, so this is a nice change). I could use a knife for the sanji as they are quite big, but it's not a problem eating them without. Our server was very nice and helpful. There's really no place in the north to northwest suburbs that serves this type of food and you'd be foolish to skip it. I'll see you there soon. I'll be the one making the yummy sounds.

We ended up ordering hot and sour soup, egg flower soup, pepper beef, honey walnut shrimp, double pan fried noodle with seafood, and salt n pepper squid. Food wise it was solid, the soups, shrimp, and noodles had good flavor. The salt n pepper shrimp was a bit salty but I enjoyed it. The pepper beef was about what I would expect. Now to get into the negative aspects of the experience today. We were celebrating my Aunts birthday and the service was what was off putting. Our waitress seemed like she was rushing us with the service, not moving around the table but opting to hand out the dishes from a fixed spot. She was doing drive bys with all of our dishes. To top it off she just dropped the check in the middle of the table while we were still eating without saying a word. Normally this is a practice that's ok when it's getting close to closing time but the server will say something like "Here's the check for when you're ready". It came off as rude to us. Then later on she took the plate with my son's fortune cookie on it while he was still eating, it was bizarre. Look I fully understand wanting to go home, I was a server/bartender before so I understand to a certain extent. But there's better ways of going about it especially considering it was 20+ minutes before closing time when we were wrapping up dinner. On top of that we were one of the few tables dining so I can't even give it a pass. Sometimes if it's super busy I expect that service may drop a little but at the end especially, we were the only table left. As much as we have enjoyed dining at Yu's in the past (Schaumburg location) this experience will probably not have us as repeat customers.

Also no dinner combos for single people. Just Alacart. What really stood out was that the tables around me appeared to receive noticeably larger portions of the same dishes. Since I was dining alone, it left me wondering whether my portion had been reduced because I was a solo customer. I can't say for certain, but that was definitely my impression. Ironically, I feel like I probably would have received more food if I had ordered takeout instead of dining in. I don't mind paying more for quality, but I expect the portion and value to match the price. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling like I didn't get what I paid for.

If you're not familiar with the menu, it can be a little challenging to know what to order, but the staff is usually helpful with recommendations. Some of my favorites are the dumplings, various rice dishes, chicken, lemongrass dishes, Mongolian beef, and other traditional offerings. This is a fantastic place for larger groups, and they're very accommodating when it comes to splitting checks. The food comes out quickly, the atmosphere is lively, and there's plenty of variety for everyone. If you're in the area near Joy Yee, MingHin is definitely worth a visit!
