Bought the lemon chicken for takeout. It could be the worst Chinese food I've ever had: little, pounded thin as a quarter, cutlets, heavily breaded and deep fried until dark brown, stiff, chewy, and dry. Served with a lemon syrup to drizzle over it. I've never seen ANY other dish prepared that way. I ate the first few I took out of the container, and switched to the egg roll, which was good. The Crab Rangoon was a pouch of cream cheese with crunchy, hard closures; no crab detected. I gave it 3 stars because my son liked the Lo Mein and my wife the combo meal of spare ribs and fried rice, and both liked the dumplings. I suggest asking for a detailed description of any dish you order, and don't expect what you've had elsewhere. Do NOT order the lemon chicken! read more

We had general tso chicken, pineapple sweet and sour chicken, ma po tofu, and pork lo mein. This was hands down the BEST ma po tofu I ever had. Lots of tofu and ground pork, excellent spice and flavor. Everything else tasted just as good! The only hiccup came when they forgot to include our lo mein (I get it, it happens!) but when I called, they were super apologetic and offered to deliver it to us! They came within 10 minutes AND they gave us complimentary drinks to make up for it. Super friendly service, everyone was so nice and accommodating. The owners are absolutely buggin' if they think I'm going to stomach this horse shit. It came with sweet and sour sauce and some type of sweet brown ginger sauce. I got it delivered and it came hot and the employees were so sweet and friendly! I ignored some of the other reviews because if you want a perfect setting to eat your meal then create it at home instead of going into someone else's home/establishment and then complaining about it. If you're looking for standard American-style Chinese food that delivers, this place is for you. If you're looking for the Chinese food that you would find west of the International Date Line, you'll probably by sorely disappointed. When my wife and I decided to try this place, it was after reading all the reviews and when were hoping for standard American-style Chinese. We got exactly what we hoped. The menu has all of the standards: Beef and Broccoli, General Tso's Chicken, Crab Rangoon, and the like. The service on the phone was courteous, delivery was fast, the order was taken accurately, and the price was reasonable. We both ate to our hearts' content on a pupu platter and one entree and had leftovers that did us well for lunch the next day. It's a good value. Some night when we don't feel like cooking and when a little bit of grease doesn't turn us off, we'll be ordering from here again. read more

Typical of Chinese Food Restaurants in the area. Certainly nothing very special. One thing I did enjoy about my garlic chicken order, was that it came with lots of different vegetables. Otherwise, this is pretty typical American Chinese fast food with poor service. I have only been here twice, and the second time was one of those experiences where I left the restaurant full of rage! The boyfriend and I called in a small order for pick up on a Sunday evening. The guy on the phone said they are busy, but it should be ready in about 20 minutes. We gave it 30 minutes then headed over to pick up our order. At the restaurant, we ended up having to wait another 30 minutes for our food! I do not mind if you are busy and my food will take a long time to come up, but just tell me that. Don't say "20 minutes" and then make me waste a good hour of my Sunday evening waiting for sub par Chinese food. I will not be going here again. Bamboo Chinese in Newport or Ching Tao in Middletown are your better options. Or if you are like me - just stick to Siam Square for Thai food in Middletown. read more
