Lots of quality ingredients like large chunks of whole white chicken in the sweet and sour.

The general Tso's was delicious, the fried rice was all super tasty, the potstickers were very good and crispy. The sesame chicken was a bit disappointing. It didn't have much flavor. Otherwise, a good fast food order for Chinese.

Someone called me back just to verify the order and to advise where they were located...nice touch. When I got there, there were lots of people there waiting to get food. When I got to the counter, my food was ready so I paid and left. We took our food back to the hotel. I was so hungry that I forgot to take pictures..sigh. The food looked really good. I ordered a combination platter of shrimp lo mein, and an egg roll. My husband got an order of combination foo young and we also got a free order of sesame chicken. The shrimp lo mein was really good and had lots of shrimp in it and had a good portion of noodles. The sesame chicken was cooked well and tasted good as well...nothing special...just the regular sesame chicken. The egg foo young was bland and didn't have much flavor but was edible. Overall this was your average Chinese takeout restaurant experience, nothing special.

My only complaint would be the pricing for littles is a bit steep when they will only really eat a few spaghetti noodles. The staff is excellent.

We were driving through Wilmington. NC and looked online for an Asian buffet restaurant. We decided…read moreupon Bdobo Mongolian Grill. For those unfamiliar with the concept, you fill a bowl with raw ingredients (meat/seafood), vegetables, noodles, tofu, and sauces/oils/seasonings), which are then cooked on a giant grill by the chef. Bdobo Mongolian Grill provides All-You-Can-Eat BBQ for $11.99 (lunch until 2:30 pm). Higher prices after 2:30 and for dinner. The meal includes a bowl of either hot and sour soup or egg drop soup, a bowl of either white or fried rice, and a small piece of fried bread. Food (4/5). There was a good variety of ingredients on the buffet, and a big variety of sauces. I was a little disappointed with my first bites as the six scoops of sauces/oils that I had selected weren't enough to make it sufficiently flavorful. However, adding some soy sauce from the table corrected that! I was also a bit disappointed that some of my favorite Mongolian BBQ ingredients weren't on the buffet -- notably mung bean sprouts, snow peas, baby corns, and scallions. Also, the waitress brought out soups to our table while we were still in line waiting for our main food, so the soups were lukewarm at best when we were ready to eat them. Value: 5/5. Service: 5!5. Our waitress checked on us regularly, and was very friendly. When she saw that our plates were empty, she made a special point of reminding us that it's all-you-can-eat so "you should eat more." (We didn't!) Ambiance. (3/5). This is a two room restaurant, with the front room bring brighter than the back one where the buffet and grill are. A black ceiling makes it feel even darker. That said, the restaurant appears to be popular with locals as most of the tables were full even though it was getting late for the lunch crowd. Parking was free and plentiful. We would eat here again. March. 2025.

Very polite, went above and beyond. Ambiance: I love the restaurant. Love the art everywhere. Most of it is for sale. Beautiful Asian art pieces encased throughout. Great photo ops when not too crowded. There's a bar with seating and seats are mixture of bench and chairs throughout for various comfort. The chairs are very roomy. Food was great. This is my second time eating here and everything was as good as the first time so it's CONSISTENT

I…read moreordered the Thai Chicken, and it was outstanding--well-balanced, flavorful, and exactly what I was hoping for. My wife ordered the Vietnamese Lemongrass Chili Chicken, but unfortunately it was extremely salty, even by my standards, and I tend to enjoy saltier foods. We also ordered two cocktails that came out much sweeter than expected. It left us wondering whether some additional tasting and quality control in both the kitchen and bar could help improve consistency. That said, our server, John, was excellent throughout the evening. He was attentive, professional, and genuinely cared about our experience. When we mentioned the issue with my wife's meal, managers Jack and David both checked on us personally and worked hard to make things right. Their involvement and concern did not go unnoticed and reflected a commitment to customer service. We've visited Cafe Chinois over the years and have noticed changes since the passing of the previous owner and the family's transition into running the restaurant. The menu has evolved, and the overall atmosphere feels a little different than it once did. During our visit, there was some trash on the floor that remained for a while, suggesting that attention to detail may not be quite where it used to be. Even so, the excellent service from John, Jack, and David, along with the quality of my entrée, showed that the restaurant still has a strong foundation. With a little more consistency in the kitchen and bar, Cafe Chinois can continue to be one of Wilmington's favorite dining spots.
