This is the best Chinese restaurant I've tested in Florida, a little greasy but delicious.

I've had various items off of their menu and everything has been delicious! Their veggies are always fresh and crisp, their chicken tastes like actual chicken and not mystery rubber meat drenched in sauce that resembles motor oil (like most chinese places I've been to in orlando) my personal favorite is the shrimp and broccoli and I fell in love after noticing that they don't use frozen baby shrimp and they clean their shrimp well! Many times I've ordered this meal from other places and every time I've gotten sad little dirty shrimp on my plate with overcooked broccoli. Well, that's not the case here! After moving here from Houston Texas I always thought that the chinese place in Houston was always going to be my favorite..but now, China Tea has them beat!!! We walked in around 2:50, not realizing that they stop dine in service at 3 (as this information wasn't posted on google where we found the restaurant since we're not from this area of town). The woman at the counter gave us a look when she asked us if it was takeout and we said we'd like to eat in. There was a pause as she stared me down to which I said "...so no dining in?". She looked at the clock, back at me, and said no that it was too close to 3. In any other situation, we might've gotten food to go, but, like I said, we weren't close to home and were just looking for a quick bite. Had high expectations given the glowing reviews on Yelp, but we left disappointed with both the food and service. There was only one woman working as the waitstaff, which isn't unreasonable given the small place (only 4 tables occupied including us) and they seem to do most of their business in take outs. Since she was busy taking an order from one of the tables, we seated ourselves and I went up to the front by cash register to grab a menu. Immediately she chastised me, telling me to sit down and she'll bring out menus to us. I thought maybe she would bring out laminated sit down menus instead of the take out one that I grabbed but no, it was one and the same. Her brusque manner continued through out service, including telling us that 2 out of the 5 dishes that we were to order were not available as dinner combinations anymore. Ok...then why don't you revise your menu? And why don't you serve bubble tea at 6p on a weeknight if "tea" is part of your name and there are prominent displays of bubble tea ads up on the wall? You know, I could have overlooked all the above if the food was good, because we went there for the food, not for the ambience or service, although it would have been a bonus if either of those were good. But the dish I ordered (five spice beef) was so salty that it was basically inedible. My son's beef short ribs was tough and salty, too. The other 3 dishes we ordered (chicken lomein, beef and onions ho fun, and chicken with garlic sauce) were ok. When I went up to the cash register to pay, I saw they had 3 chefs cooking the food, so maybe that was the reason for the inconsistencies. We ordered take out from here. It was ready about 15 minutes after we called in. The restaurant itself is very small. There are only a few tables inside but it is very clean. The lady we helped me was very nice. I took the food home and everything was steaming hot which was great! We ordered beef with mixed veg and beef in garlic sauce. The garlic sauce had a nice kick to it. The egg roll was also amazing. The wonton soup was flavorful but a little in the salty side. I will definitely be back. read more

I think we found a really good Chinese restaurant after my long battle of missing my go to place Meridian court. We happen to be on the other side of town for a swim meet. Then searched for best chinese food near me and boom, China tea... Omg. Had my usual pepper steak with steam rice.. Pan seared dumplings and wonton soup...Super happy right now. Good food but pricey for the portions. It was very busy when we went in which is a good sign but most seemed to be tourist visiting from out of town. While we were there 2 customers called to complain about their orders being mixed up but did t realize until they got home. They were told to come back for their correct order, which I think should have been delivered free of charge since it was the restaurants mistake not the customers. read more

Everything was good although the rice seemed to be cooked in a lot of soy sauce and was on the salty side. The most amazing Chinese food I've ever had. Literally. We are the Orange chicken and Kung Pao chicken and both were delicious. Usually When I go to a Chinese restaurant, I am never sure if it's actually real meat in the fried "chicken" but this was definitely real chicken in freshly fried crispy outer for the orange chicken. I was in the area for work and was told this place was worth a visit. I think it is certainly worth a try. It looks like just another take out place but the food quality is superior to your average Chinese restaurant. They even have some Thai dishes and the pricing is very reasonable for this tasty food. I had Won Ton soup and Chicken Sambal. Both were very tasty. The wonton soup was not greasy at all it even had some green onions that doesn't happen often. The wontons were fresher than some other places. The Sambal chicken was good but it could have had more meat, lots of veggies and sauce though. The service is fast and the place seems very clean. So I am really picky about Chinese food only because when I say fried rice I want it to be fried rice. This place delivered exactly what I expected. I ordered the shrimp fried rice with lo Mein noodles and the pad Thai meal with two spring rolls, mind you this was for my whole family not just me lol. The pad Thai was good, I have had better but this place was way better than the last place we ordered from. The spring rolls were fresh and crispy, the lo Mein noodles were perfectly seasoned. We will be making this our take out Chinese from now on because they taste awesome! The only reason why I didn't give this place 5 stars was because the wait to pick up my food was longer than 10mins and the restaurante itself is small and not so much fit for multiple big families. Plus when you order the lady never asked my name for the order she matched it with my phone number which I can see to be a problem in the future.
