To me, take out Chinese food is such a hit or miss game, depending on how long the meat has been sitting out for. The tangerine chicken was recommended so I had some and it was terribly hard and chewy. I also had the orange chicken which was soft and fresh. So I believe quality really depends on the luck of the draw and when you go in to order. One subject I feel is very important to share is the usage of a debit card here. I entered the store without cash knowing most places accept ATM cards. There is a sign that indicates ATM transactions will incur a $1.50 fee which I was ok with. The method is unorthodox as they round up your total to the nearest tenth and refund you the difference. For example, my total was $17.49 so they charged my card $21.50 and gave me back $2.51 in cash. That night I looked at my receipt and saw my bank account balance on the bottom which was a bit concerning to me. The next day I checked my bank account and was also charged $2.00 for this transaction. I go into detail to inform other consumers of the consequences of using your ATM card. Some may not mind paying $3.50 in fees but I do and will not make that mistake again. read more

You get a lot of food for little money. I might go there right now, I get all steamed rice with 2x Orange Chicken + 1x Teriyaki Chicken. They claim, rightfully so, to have the best Teriyaki in town and they certainly do! the prices are very reasonable but don't look for any egg-fo-young. Do try the cream cheese wontons. We were both pleasantly surprised that it not only tasted good but was within our budget (moving is expensive). One item combo is 4.75 and Two item combo is 5.75 Teriyaki chicken was perfectly charbroiled and flavored. Although the broccoli beef was also good, the Teriyaki chicken stole the show in this item combo. Orange chicken was flavorful and tasted like chicken. some places have more breading than chicken, not this place. Steamed rice was mediocre but we did enjoy the chow mein. read more

I honestly don't understand why people give only one star for this joint. The food is amazing and I couldn't compare it with any other Chinese joints every where. They have huge proportions of food on the tray, enough to even feed 2 people. There Chow Mein and fried rice are delicious and I always get the orange chicken because it's pure chicken made with pure orange juice (unlike other Chinese foods where they always put too much flour on it and very little chicken), and the pork BBQ is cooked delicious as well. I didn't mind if they have debit card fees, because again the food itself is very good. But it's always nice to bring cash with you if you decide not to be charged an extra fee for your debit. I have been so disappointed with Chinese fast food that for the past few years, I have just not eaten any. This past weekend we had some friends over and we decided to get Chinese. My husband insisted we go to Chinatown because it's the only descent Chinese fast food place in the area (despite their being a Panda Express just a few hundred feet further down the street). When good, china town has fantastic fried rice, teriyaki chicken, orange chicken, broccoli beef, and even the Asian spicy got wings. The restaurant itself is not the cleanest, nor in the greatest area, however, when the food is good, it's fantastic. On the days that the food is bad, you're better off making yourself some of the college staple, ramen. I want to love this place, however I seem to have as many bad experiences as I do good. If I could give zero stars I would. Pretty sad because my husband and I have been eating here for years and although the customer service is terrible the food has always been pretty good until this evening! We waited for 10 minutes with three people behind the food counter and we were the only ones in line. They got my husbands wrong then just simply scooped out the chow mein then placed it back in the chow mein hot pan to serve the next customer. So my husband said how about a small side of fresh rice and it was very clear this upset her. She said just give me your plate I'll scoop out the rice (that my fork had already been in my mouth then touched) and she was going to put it back in the rice to serve other customers. Pretty sure that's a health code violation and absolutely disgusting! They also have soups to order and always made fresh so that means you will have to wait. One of the best dish I like is crispy chicken and it will take 20-30 min wait so you should call in a head of time before picking it up. Price is cheap for the amount of food you get since we ordered two orders of crispy chicken, two orders of two items to go cost less than 35$ for all that food. True they will charge transactions fees for ATM so if you don't want the transaction fee then should bring cash but only in 20$ bills or less since they don't accept anything higher than 20$ bills. Yes the cashiers are not very outgoing but they are not rude either like someone stated in their reviews. Beside you are there for the food and not for the interaction to the cashiers so don't let that deterred you from coming in. Overall I feel it's worth it to try out if you have a craving for fast Chinese food . The fried rice was average, but made the beef with broccoli taste better when i rolled it around in the rice.. the beef with broccoli sauce I did not like and the broccoli was kinda stiff which is not how I like my broccoli.
