    45. Shrimp Mei Fun
    Aliya H.

I had a big craving for egg foo young and Mei fun. I've never gotten Chinese food around my house and this was the closest one so I thought I'd give it a try. The food wasn't bad. The shrimp Mei fun was LOADED with onions. It was tasty but there were so many onions I had to pick most of them out. The flavor was very mild, not like other Mei funs I've had. The egg foo young was good, but was in desperate need of salt. Even after adding soy sauce, I had to add salt. But once I did, it was perfect.

"Sweet & Sour Chicken bento box" lol.

Fried rice lacked any real flavor. General Tso's was doughy and soggy.

The "small" was ridiculously large, so I can only wonder how large the bigger sizes might have been, but who can complain about something like that? The place is small but quaint; there was only another patron in there, and the host told us to sit wherever we wanted. He brought water and I ordered beer and Saké off af the Happy Hour menu, as well as Edamame and Summer Rolls. We both ordered bowls of Pho. The Edamame and Summer Rolls were excellent, and the peanut sauce was incredible! The Pho came, and my bowl was huge! The broth was so tasty- I knew we had made a good choice. The beef was tender and flavorful. The spicy chili on the side was excellent. Make sure to come for Happy Hour, the prices are great! As we were finishing, the place started filling up, and I knew that this was a popular place. I will definitely be back, whether or not my wife has a doctor's appointment!

I don't feel they do a great job explaining their menu to people who are unfamiliar with udon, especially cuz there are no pictures for them to see what they're ordering. It was fine for me as I'm super familiar with Japanese food. We got tempura udon, which is something I've been craving, and they did a great job. I highly recommend it. We didn't feel like a cocktail so I got an iced tea and he got a viet coffee but they served it in a cocktail glass so it was such a small amount... def shoulda been served in a tall glass, cuz why do I have to be slowly sipping that c'mon. The service was good. They were all friendly and courteous. Oh, parking is a nightmare. There's a lot in the back but you'll be lucky to find a spot. There's street parking but that's also crazy. Def not their fault but just be aware. All in all a nice place. I'd def come back again for their food.

Awful. I ordered the beef chow fun. I liked the kind of noodles they used, but everything tasted charred and very burnt. The onion pieces were burnt on the ends but still raw through the middle. I think the sauce may have been where the burned taste was coming from. The beef was a good texture, but couldn't get past the taste. We thought the pan fried dumplings would be a safe bet, but they didn't taste like anything. Still, they weren't as bad as the other two items. We threw everything away and wasted $60 after tip. I'm glad other people like this restaurant, but we won't order again.
