Best Chinese food in all the area. Location in Sanford is great too. Love the orange chicken, bourbon chicken, sweet sour pork, lo mein, krab rangoon. Everything here is great. The fried rice is good but could use some improvement to make it great. If they delivered in Apopka like the Sanford location does they would get a lot more business. Because they are only pickup I can't order for delivery for parties etc. I have tried many Chinese places in the area and China Wok is the best, closest to big city Chinese food.

When we first moved to the area a few years back we tried this place a few times and were not impressed. We started going across the street to their competitor (next to Publix). Well, after some tummy upset from the competitor and another search for decent fast Chinese (the great reviews on Yelp helped) we found ourselves back at China Wok. From the outside it is like every other strip mall Chinese place. I noticed that everything kind of looks the same in these places. Same menus, same food pictures above the counter, same food... I really wish someone would try to raise the bar a bit. Anyway, China wok is better than some but not a stand-out. I ordered the Krab Rangoon app which is exactly like every other Rangoon you'll get at these places. I had the Honey Shrimp which was better. The shrimp were pretty large and lightly fired. The sauce was more orange than honey though. Prices are fair; I can always get two meals out of one order. Service was quick and friendly. I'll be back to give them another try...

We stopped by Chung Xiang Chinese Restaurant on a recommendation for good fried rice. There were no…read moreother customers in the restaurant when we got there. However, the two people working behind the counter were on the phone taking mobile orders. There are two kiosks available for ordering. I started to order on one of the kiosks when one of the workers who had finished on the phone asked if she can take our order. We ordered and paid. We were told it would be about fifteen minutes so we decided to go next door to Publix and then return for the food. Upon our return, there were other people waiting in the restaurant. Our food was ready shortly after. We gathered the box that everything we ordered was packed in and left. The Fried Rice was as good as suggested. It had the vegetables and sprouts included. The Krab Rangoons had a generous amount of filing and were delicious. The Tofu was also tasty and flavorful. It was served with mixed vegetables and cooked well. I would definitely return and order again from Chung Xiang Chinese Restaurant if in the mood for Chinese cuisine.

I recently went into Chung Ying Chinese Food while running an errand for someone else who does. I…read moredo not personally eat here and after what I observed during this visit I have never had the desire to do so. The customer service was remarkably rude, snarky, abrupt and dismissive. Two of the young women working behind the counter stood out in particular. What concerned me most was the apparent blatant difference in the way one of them communicated with and treated customers of color compared with customers who were not people of color. I watched the interactions. The difference was more than noticeable. When a customer places money directly into your hand basic courtesy is to return that customer's change appropriately rather than tossing or dropping it onto the counter. When that kind of behavior appears to change depending upon who is standing on the other side of the counter it raises a legitimate question about whether customers are being treated equally. Every paying customer deserves the same courtesy. What makes this particularly troubling is that Asian Americans are themselves people of color and have their own long history of experiencing discrimination in the United States. Black Americans also fought and sacrificed through generations of civil-rights advocacy that helped dismantle legal and institutional barriers affecting many minority communities. There should therefore be an especially strong appreciation for the importance of dignity and equal treatment. No employee should be performing conversational backflips for one group of customers while becoming curt, dismissive or disrespectful toward another. Treat everyone with the same professionalism and respect. After my experience I also came across a review from a Black male customer describing what sounds like a strikingly similar concern. He specifically questioned whether one of the daughters had a different attitude when serving other people of color and stated that he would not spend his money there again. I did not know about his review before forming my own opinion. Seeing another customer independently describe a similar perceived difference in treatment certainly got my attention. There were also sanitation practices that concerned me. I personally observed handling of money and payment items like credit cards followed by food-related activity in a manner that present cross-contamination concerns. I also observed other conditions inside the establishment that caused me concern from a cleanliness and food-handling standpoint. Those are matters the restaurant should take seriously and must be addressed. The larger issue is simple: learn how to treat people properly. Customers should not have to wonder whether the level of courtesy they receive depends upon their race or skin color. Respect Black customers. Respect customers of color. Respect every customer who walks through the door. People notice how they are treated. They also notice when the treatment changes depending upon who is standing at the counter. Chung Ying Chinese Food can and should do much better and those girls displaying such ignorance at the front counter need to be educated on who they are (PEOPLE OF COLOR TOO) and to behave better when dealing with the other PEOPLE OF COLOR UPON WHOSE SHOULDERS THEY STAND!!!

The positive is that the prices seemed fair and the location itself was nice inside - it would actually probably be better dining in and ordering for pickup here. Unfortunately though, the food was just bland. Even the plain white rice was not good, and that's a first for ANY Chinese restaurant I've ever gone to. I'm just never had rice that tasted like nothing. The Spicy Beef we had was actually Szechuan Beef (but with green peppers) even though they have a separate menu item that is Szechuan beef. I don't like Szechuan anything, so that was a big disappointment. Additionally, the green peppers served with it tasted weird (chemically? unwashed?) and the white rice tasted like nothing. I should add also that the menu states green and red peppers, but mine were only green and the peppers were only the top and bottom of the pepper. We also had Sesame Tofu, which is usually fried and then tossed in brown sauce and topped with sesame seeds. This tofu was just stir-fried, so it lacked texture. It also didn't come with anything else - typically broccoli would be included, but not here. The menu didn't have any description saying it would, so that's not their fault - it just was, again, disappointing. The fried rice we selected with this was also bland. Again, I've never had bland fried rice. Portions seemed small (no leftovers), too. Overall, we just know this won't be our go-to Chinese takeout. The hunt continues....
