She swapped out the jalapeño chicken for a fresh tray, which was great. I had the spicy orange chicken, broccoli beef, and green bean chicken. I've been going here since I was a little kid. There used to be a Little Caesar's Pizza right across the street in the empty parking lot along with other places that didn't stand the test of time. This place outlasted them all. I believe they had a change in management in 2015-2016 if I'm not mistaken, and the new management have been fantastic. They're always so friendly. The food quality hasn't changed at all, it's still really good and the food tastes really fresh each time. It's only gotten more popular over the years which is crazy to think about. This place has no signs of going away any time soon. Side Note: On the left side of the shop there's a sandwich/donut portion where they sell those from morning to lunch before their Chinese food portion opens later in the day. I mostly work near the Rubidoux area of Riverside and there are LOTS of fast food options around here. Burgers, fries, tacos, burritos...and some places all the above. But being that I really enjoy convenience and Chinese food, for this guy China Wok Inn is a nice marriage of both. China Wok Inn is located right off of Mission Blvd between Donahoo's Chicken and a mobile home park(!!!). For the longest time, they didn't have the donuts they advertised with signage on the building (mostly when construction in the area was down) but they are back and also with a bevy of breakfast sandwich options. Back to the Chinese food, my go-to here is a two item combo with chow mein only and a five piece cream cheese wonton. The containers are always loaded to the gills so I always make two meals out of it. For less than $10, it's really tough to beat that. The spicy orange chicken is always solid as is the pepper chicken and mushroom chicken. Kung pao here is not my favorite but I'm pretty picky with that one. Cream cheese wontons are fried fresh when you order so those are always worth the wait. Yeah, China Wok Inn is pretty standard Chinese fast food but it's still pretty good, you get real value and the location works for me. I'd be remiss to mention the workers are always friendly, even when you have some folks hemming and hawing over what they want. I'll have to check out the breakfast sandwiches next time! read more

I am so sad to be writing this but our experience getting take out here today was just disappointing. The service was friendly but that's about as good as it got. We ordered the the Mongolian Beef. And it took 20 minutes to make. We were very excited to try it but this had a strange smell. Kindof like a barn. And when we checked the meat, it looked white. I don't know what they were serving us but it definitely was not beef. Our guess is that it is goat. It was really not good. It didn't taste like pork but it was obvious not beef. We got combination chow main that came with beef, chicken and pork and the Mongolian beef did not look or taste like the other meat. We also got the honey walnut shrimp... it is bearable but not great. We used to love this place but unfortunately mostly will not be returning. read more

I asked if the main items could be separated as it was a disgusting pile of food. I was rudely told if I wanted it this is how it would come. This is an okay spot for Chinese food in this area. The spicy orange chicken is my go to when I eat here. Prices are reasonable. Wish they had a more inclusive made to order menu rather than pre-made ready to serve foods. Unfortunately, most Chinese restaurant are like that here in Riverside.
