Yes the food is sitting under a heat lamp, probably like the food you order at any regular fast food joint so I don't see the point in complaining about that, at least they're not trying to hide the fact. Anyways, for gas station fried chicken it was delicious. I went with the 2 item combo and then added a side of fries (seasoned wedges) which all came out to $8.71. Not bad for the two giant pieces of chicken I received, along with a biscuit. The wedges seemed to have been sitting for awhile (nothing my air fryer can't fix) but tasted good anyways. The chicken was hot and I liked the amount of crispy breading. Service was fast and friendly. Definitely will be coming back when I want some budget friendly fried chicken. read more

I'm stuck between a 3-4 stars. I mean for fried chicken attached to a gas station; I'm not mad at it. The hot display is located at the register. You get In line to order and pay for the food. The cashier is the one to get your order. Chicken was fresh and hot. The skin was crispy and did not immediately fall off the meat which is a plus. Prices are decent for quality. I ordered the 2 piece fried chicken with honey butter biscuits, and got the house special ranch and Krispy Krunchy sauce for dipping. I believe I paid less than $6 with a 99 cent Circle K fountain beverage added on. CHURCH'S CHICKEN WHO????????? The honey butter biscuits at KKC are SO GOOD, and are glazed with delicious honey butter for a sweet and savory sensation. I could eat these all day, Yelpers. The chicken lives up to the name: crispy, and very crunchy. The inside is hit or miss, depending on what time of day you pull up and how long the chicken's been under the heat lamps, but I've never had soggy skin at KKC. If the meat is a lil dry, first of all, get dark meat (it's cheaper anyway), and second of all, that's what you got sauce for! The ranch is a must to dip your chicken in. Anyway, I could wax poetic about my little spot, found a little too late for me to enjoy for a longer duration of my college career. It's definitely a satisfying meal on a budget. Krispy Krunchy Dry Chicken. So I ordered the chicken tenders meal and the shrimp meal since I've never tried it before. We'll I started with the shrimp. It was okay they had a good flavor but small. The potato wedges were really dry. I was hoping to dip them in the ranch sauce but I never got my ranch sauces. The biscuit didn't look like a biscuit it was flat but it was moist and had a good flavor. I then ate the tenders. They looked good but we're dry. There was only one tender that was moist and worth eating. Again not much of a meal deal since you don't get a drink and luck if they remember your dipping sauce. I came in here about a year ago because while pumping gas the chicken aroma hit me. After dealing with a very rude owner and cashier that thought nothing of letting regulars he knew start a new line while we already been there for about 5 min. Yes he served them 1st. I almost hit the roof. I took a deep breath because I wanted to try this chicken and at 1st it tasted good but I notice I pieces weirdly shaped(I've experienced this b4 when food blue is used to put smaller pieces to bigger pieces and not good for you. We had a birthday celebration today for my Dad. We thought we would try KKC takeout. Since we had quite a large order, I tried to phone in the order. I was told by the gentleman that answered that they didn't take phone orders. I then placed the takeout order via YELP, which subsequently was handled by Grubhub. I received a confirmation that my order woUld be ready. When we arrived, I learned that they had not received my order because their ordering system was down. Had to stand around and wait for that large order to be cooked. Summary: Grubhub confirmed my order was received. KKC says their system was down. Grubhub just asked me about my takeout experience. This is my third poor experience with Grubhub. And there's no one to address the issue when you need them wwithout doing a LOT of work. So long Grubhub. I'll find a system thats more customer-caring. read more

We really enjoyed the chicken here. It is so tender and juicy, very fresh and super crunchy. Prices are fair as are the portions , they have a variety of dipping sauces I love the mustard one the best. Their wedge fries are delicious, everything much better than expected. Chicken shrimp and fish are sooooo good. Taste homemade to be honest. The biscuits are also good. The sides are so gross with no flavor. For the jambalaya they used hot dogs instead of sausage that's a no no. They do make the meat fresh but those sides are so expensive and gross we'll never ever get them again. Macaroni was definitely from a can in a gas station. Try the chicken, fish and shrimp you'll thank me later. It's also expensive so we'll only get this on occasion. read more

I can't honestly give fast food a 5 star rating just because...well....it's fast food!! That being said this place is SO good! I think it's quite possibly the best fried chicken I have ever had in my entire life! They have fried chicken, chicken strips and fried fish! The sides are very southern and Cajun themed! We only got chicken which includes the best biscuit ever! They have the right cook time and recipe down on those! Chicken crack. I have a friend who frequents restaurants in the Riverside area, usually a good guide. He said we were going to have 'duck' for lunch and we stopped outside of a gas station. Inside was the Krispy Krunchy chicken. I don't think I've had fried chicken as good as this ever. I'm sort of a glutton when it comes to fried chicken, and this little joint kills it.
