I walked in on a Friday night at about 830pm and the place was empty and dirty. I decided to order despite my gut feeling telling me otherwise since I was craving Chinese food and my favorite place was already closed. I ordered three dinners and customer service was horrible. The kid behind the counter was probably the owners son and didn't like that I came in and felt like he didn't want to take my order. I got my food in about 15 minutes and went home to eat the worst Chinese food I've ever had. The "chicken fried rice" had two or three small pieces of chicken and had several pieces of collagen from chicken that I had to spit out. There were no soy sauce packets and the egg rolls were fried earlier in the day and then microwaved. read more

Tried the chicken Kow spicy lunch special. I had high hopes for this order until I started eating from it. The chicken with the rice was very dark. And chicken with veggies were EXTREMELY salty. I tried this place for the first time based upon reviews I saw on yelp. One reviewer said that it rivals Chi Tsung (a nearby competitor). Umm. Heck no. Chi tsung blows them out of the water. I ordered the orange chicken lunch combo with chicken fried rice. The rice was good but it only have 4 tiny pieces of chicken in it. I felt like it should have just been considered vegetable fried rice because it was like finding a needle in a haystack. Sadly, the orange chicken was completely disgusting. We eat here often, and it is always very good... My wife always orders the S&S chicken (the only Chinese food she eats) and I like to try something new each time. Tonight I ordered the Hunan Delight, and as described, it is a delight indeed! The shrimp was cooked perfectly and was some of the freshest I have had in a Chinese food dish. It is only available in one size, and to my delight, the portion is large enough for three meals! The level of spiciness is what I would expect from a dish that has a chili pepper next to it on the menu. I finished eating about 10 minutes ago and my nose is still pleasantly running. I would recommend China Wok to anyone who is looking for delicious, fresh and quality Chinese food. read more

Super great service and food!! I have going here for years. This is one of the rare Chinese restaurant that actually have really good food. I've tried alot that were too greasy or tested like plastic. This place isn't like that, you can actually taste flavor in their food. We ordered pick up and the menu had many options. We ordered a little of everything and the food had good flavors. We would definitely order from here again. I recommend egg foo young and shrimp bread appetizer. The restaurant itself is misleading compared to the presentation of the food itself. Even though I walked in at an odd hour (330-4pm) they came right out with a smile and greeting. While I told the woman I didn't know what I want and would probably take some time to decide (I'm one of those people who has to read the *entire* menu before I can make up my mind), she still waited patiently, straightening up and cleaning whatever they keep behind that front counter, glancing up as she awaited my order. When I did decide, the woman informed me that it would be ten to fifteen minutes... and quickly darted to the kitchen. It was at this point that I recognized the signs: she was the only person in the building. Still, I was there at an odd time, I was informed of the time it would take for my order to be made prior to being rung up, and despite the somewhat long time-frame estimate, my order was ready in seven minutes rather than the 10-15. It came out so hot and fresh I had to wait for it to cool... and still blow on it before putting a bite into my mouth. Not only are the portions great, but the meal is proportioned in a way that's surprising. Eg. I ordered a small sized beef and mushroom. Not only did I get a full sized portion, but I found myself wishing there'd been more mushrooms/less beef in the mix. As a restaurant worker myself, I know this is blasphemy to even think... Meat is the money product, especially compared to onions, peppers and carrots (I even found myself wishing there were a few more of them in my bowl) that are the B&B fillers of Asian food. Not only will I stop here again, but again and again, because now I want to try at least half a dozen of their other menu items to see if they're just as tasty. I will not, however, be stopping there tomorrow, or the next day... because I'm just me, and I now have leftovers. I'll definitely be making rice to make the extras into a full meal--and I'll probably add whatever vegetables I have in my fridge, but considering I paid six dollars for dinner and will instead end up with three meals...
