The teriyaki chicken is my personal favorite - so much rich, savory flavor, and I love that it's paired simply with fresh green beans. It's the perfect complementary combo. Their fried rice? Delicious even on its own - full of flavor without needing anything added. The crab Rangoon are hands-down my favorite in the city: perfectly crisp, proportioned, creamy, and addictively good. The egg rolls knocked our socks off, and the General Tso's chicken was incredible - fresh, tender meat with a depth of flavor you can actually taste. And whatever you do, get the Chinese donuts. I received a mailer for Moon Wok and decided to give it a try - I am SO glad I did!! It is so good!! I ordered the Shrimp Fried Rice with extra shrimp and it was enough for two nights of dinner! The shrimp were big and it had the most perfect amount. It tasted so delicious and didn't leave me feeling gross after (as some places can). We ordered takeout online and they were so quick to have our order ready and had it sitting on the counter ready for us when we walked in which was so nice! Although we didn't eat inside, the restaurant seemed really cozy and welcoming! I would definitely recommend giving it a try! read more

The location is kind of easy to find in the lot with toci bell but the parking is tight. The food was a 4.5 out of 5. The absolutely best item was the egg drop soup it was hot savory full flavor not just salt with the wonton crisp. The pepersteak with onions and peppers was pretty good they don't skimp on veggies my gosh if the meat and veg ratio was even it would be great to he flavor was pretty fair. The crispy crab ragoon was nice on day one dry on day two after heating up again. The general tso's shrimp is not a winner for me. Giant overly breaded and that sauce is not meant for shrimp with the he 4 PCs of broccoli. I haven't tried the beef and broccoli yet..but idk if I'll return. I ordered pan fried dumplings and didn't receive them so that turned me off. The ambiance of the restaurant was clean and pretty. The lady that took my order was nice and professional and called me back once my order was completed for pickup. A complete mistake led me to this YUMMY restaurant. I discovered this quaint place totally by accident and *WOW* what a stroke of luck! I had arranged for a friend to meet for a Tuesday lunch at Holy Land Cafe. I drove all the way to Lenexa from Lawrence to discover HLC was closed on Tuesdays. We were hungry, had little time and in a strip mall with few choices. Moon Wok was the first restaurant we happened upon. Upon first glance I wasn't sure this was going to be a good choice. The restaurant was empty at noon. The best way to pick a restaurant is by the number of people dining there. Or so I thought. We were promptly seated with menus and then we ordered at the counter. The man taking the order was very businesslike and did not engage in small talk. We did not have to wait long to get our food. You have to gather your own plastic utensils, chopsticks, and napkins. You also make your own beverage. You know the drill. When the food arrived, I noticed how vibrant the colors of the food were. That observation might sound strange but the food wasn't covered in sad brownish gravy. The food was delicious and the freshest Chinese I've ever experienced. The zucchini was crispy, colorful fresh. I had the cashew chicken and the chicken was big, fresh pieces of chicken. There were no broken cashews, either. Big pieces of fresh cashews. I had ordered wonton soup and I was the same- plentiful and delicious. Just scrumptiously fresh. Truly inspiring Chinese food. This food made me realize that I had never had good Chinese food ever before in my life. I figured out why there weren't any other customers, too. This restaurant was hopping with take out customers. Couldn't count the delivery drivers who came and went or the people who came in to pick up orders. Prices were more than reasonable. There were plenty of lunch specials. The menu was very extensive. I had my doubts about ordering late. I should've followed my gut!! I asked when I ordered can I please get fresh food. I was told oh everything is always fresh! LESS LIES LIES!!! I don't even know why I asked! Shrimp fried rice was soaked in grease. It was like it had been poured into the container bc it was just sitting in grease. I couldn't eat it but my daughter did manage to eat a few bites before throwing it out. It also had a funky taste to it and the shrimp was rubbery. The egg rolls were also oily and just burnt black!! I was horrified! I have never seen a black egg roll. I couldn't believe they actually gave me this food and charged me for it! The crab rangoon was just more of the same. The bottom looked fine but as you moved up to the crunchy portion they were dark and burnt like they had also been re-dropped in grease. To say this meal was horrible it's an understatement!! Everything was baaaaad!! Each time I would pull something out of the bag it was just more of the same. I was unable to call that evening bc they were closed by the time I got home. I called the next day. I explained my distaste for the food I had received. She asked if I still had the food. Of course not! It was in the trash! I guess she's was going to have me get it out of the trash and bring it into the restaurant. Are you kidding?!! Who does that?!! They do! As much money as my family and friends have put in their pocket!! So in the end I was told there was nothing they could do! I will say yes I've gone there many times in the past and never had a problem. This is why I was so shocked at the food I received this time. Everybody can have a bad nite but you don't treat a loyal customer this way when they bring an issue to you. I did tell them that I wouldn't be coming back or any of my family. But they didn't care about that either. At the very least if you go just don't go late in the evening. Allow yourself enough time before closing that if you receive the kind of garbage I was given you can make a trip back and MAYBE get a refund. Good luck! read more

We had lunch here recently...I've been eager to try the new spot. The dining area is small, but still has a good amount of seating. Considering it's a new place, everything is nice and clean. They have all day combo specials for a decent price ($7 or so, depending on what you choose), these come with choice of rice and a crab rangoon and an eggroll. You get a good sized portion for the price. The rice was flavorful, which sometimes fried rice is kind of bland. The food tasted good and didn't seem like the store bought/prepackaged sauces you often get. I ordered triple delight and mom ordered cashew chicken. They add zucchini to their dishes, which is a turn off for me. My triple delight didn't have a lot, but the cashew chicken did. The triple delight only had 2 shrimp, which was disappointing, despite it's tastiness. I found the egg roll and Rangoon wontons to be kind of on the thick side, but they were both tasty. Room for improvement would be the plates and plasticware they use. Food is served in the dining room on very flimsy plastic disposable plates. We found ourselves wishing we'd have ordered to go just for better containers. read more
