I've been coming here for a while now and I can honestly say everything I've tried has been delicious. I've had the orange chicken, mixed vegetables, kung pao chicken, jalapeño chicken, chicken curry, egg rolls, and chicken egg rolls -- all consistently good every time. The staff is amazing as well. They're professional, friendly, welcoming, and always helpful. You can tell they care about both the food and the customers. My only complaint is that they're closed on Sundays... but honestly, I get it. They deserve a day off and probably can't spoil me with good food seven days a week. On Friday 2/20/26 i called in a take out order for lunch. I ordered Shrimp fried rice and I don't recall the wait time I was told, but I arrived within 15 min of calling. They were very busy and I was glad i called my order in. I paid and waited a little, not a problem. When I got back to work, I was not completely happy with my order of shrimp fried rice. I've had other food items from here (see my other review) and the food was top tier. I didn't want to post a negative review without calling to resolve the concern. I spoke with Phil. He was apologetic and offered to make it right. My intention was really not for a redo of the order, but rather to let them know. I told him I could come back after work at 5p. This place isn't serving up artisan gourmet food, but it's not trying to. This place is all about good homey food with outstanding value. I got the 3 entree plate and for only $14 the amount of food I got was absolutely insane, probably 50% more than the same 3 entree plate at Panda Express. I love that they also have chicken curry as an entree option and it's actually good. I'd definitely recommend coming here if you want to try a great alternative to panda or just want some good Chinese food at an amazing price. read more

Usually they don't have flavor at other Chinese food spots but this one is nice! There are generally three tiers of Chinese fast food restaurants: 1) Panda Express: Good ingredients, good quality, highest priced (although still affordable) and smallest portion size (although still not terrible). 2) Chinese Gourmet: Good ingredients, good quality, mid priced, good portion size. 3) Hong Kong/Tasty Goody: just OK ingredients, OK quality, lowest price, biggest portion size. Chinese Gourmet is the mid point between Panda and the lower end Chinese fast food spots. Honestly, it's such a good deal. Cheap prices and great food and ingredient quality. It's always fresh. Also, they give you a lot of food. Not obscene amounts like Tasty Goody, but it's still a lot. Usually much better quality food too. Staff is always polite, restaurant is spotless, and the food is fresh. Very well seasoned, lots of vegetables and proteins. Definitely stop by this spot. read more

I've noticed they used smaller containers a couple months back, but the portions was still decent. Not as overflowing as they used to be, but at least they were better than today's. I fell like I got 3 oz of cooked fried rice and 3 oz of chow mein! I'm not on some diet; pack it in there! Yes it's understandable that prices are going up for everything. Raise the prices, but don't cut us short on the portion and also raise the prices. They used to be good 5 years ago. I keep hoping they return to the old chef or recipes they used to use. The chow main is nasty now. Every time I get it, it has a weird flavor. I never had that flavor 5 years ago. I work close by so I used to eat there weekly. I now only eat there several times a year. They still have horrible chow mein. So now I just get the fried rice.
