This restaurant has given up, my food had no flavor or seasoning. I ordered the Shrimp with walnuts, but if you think you will be getting fried shrimp with a creamy white mayo sauce you would be mistaken for the most part you're just getting shrimp with veg and walnuts. Chinese Kitchen is located in an end building of an old and not all that well maintained strip mall. It's rather typical of the many "hole in the wall" Chinese restaurant operations of the area as it is counter order and, though it has a huge number of menu choices, most chose from pictures displayed overhead at the order counter and I'd dare say most orders are take out. I ended up with their Seafood Delight which was a rather decent combination of shrimp, scallop, what they said was a crabmeat and varying vegetables smothered in a rather clear but sweet sauce. I also tried some of my partners dish being a General Tao's Chicken. Now I'll probably take some flak on this, but I've done a lot of eating in China and have had a lot of Chinese foods here in the United States and they aren't the same. Most of the Chinese foods served here are New York Style Chinese. Matter of fact General Tao's Chicken was created in New York City and is entirely unknown in China. It's a matter of catering to American tastes. It would be unfair to compare Chinese Kitchen to any of the restaurants I've been to in China and since its food is of a New York Style, any Chinese Restaurants that aren't, but even for takeout New York Style Chinese food, best I can go is to say "Meh! I'm a local in the area. Went to bamboo kitchen the other day cuz Chinese kitchen closes 1 day a week, thought I'd give it a try. I gotta say, Chinese kitchen is the spot in the area for good Chinese food. In comparison, the fried rice said a lot. Chinese kitchen used nice fresh vegetables and the rice is cooked much better. Ordered from a recommendation from a friend. My wife & I have been craving some old school NY style Chinese food and been searching for a while. My buddy said this is his go to place, so we decided why not. Good choice! I opted for the General Tso's and and a pint of Szecuhan Chicken. Had to try a little of both. Tso's was delish! Very flavorful, nice size pieces of chicken, only thing I wished was they had a few more of the little spicy red peppers. As for the Szecuhan Chicken, that too was very tasty, good flavor, fresh tasting veggies in there and a nice little kick to it. My wife opted for the Monoglian Beef, which she really liked. She said it was tasty, nice chunks of beef and also had a little kick. She also went for the House Fried Rice, which I tried as well. The rice was excellent, nice sticky and lots of flavor as well as a good combo of shrimp, chicken, and veggies. This was good for 2 nights worth of dinners, so the portions are big. We did take out, the place from the outside is a little sketchy looking, so don't judge by that. Def worthy of NY style Chinese food! Unfortunately the quality has hit rock bottom imo. I ordered the orange beef and I'm pretty sure there was no beef and only breading, and it was lacking proper flavor for this dish. Sunday afternoon, half dying from a hangover, I knew I needed delivery...which basically makes pizza or Chinese my options. I wasn't in the mood for pizza, and my go-to Chinese delivery spot isn't open on Sunday, so I dug through my menu drawer and found this other nearby option. The food and pricing was on-par with my usual spot, and the food arrived in 20 minutes instead of the 40 I was quoted, so that was good. The soup that came with my combo might have been a little smaller than typical, but it was also a slightly different container, so it might have been an optical illusion. Doesn't look like much when you pass by but I was practically dying of hunger so I popped in. I got the shrimp with vegetables combination plate and it was delicious. The whole meal taste fresh and well seasoned specially the shrimp in a exquisite sauce and fresh vegetables. I chose pork fried rice with it and I delighted in it because it didn't have any eggs. All of the meat was chewy with a lot of fat and gristle, the sauce was bland and the broccoli practically raw. Staying in Homewood suites hotel after a recent cruise for couple days and decided to order from Chinese Kitchen for dinner. We waited exactly an hour for the food to arrive even though we were told about 40 minutes. Food was hot when it arrived and was worth the wait. We had hot and sour soup and it was good. It had just the right amount of seasoning, tofu and those black fungus to give it a nice crunch. Beef chow foon was good but little on the greasy side. Shrimp with mushroom and pea pod was delicious. Okay, first off be warned if you were regular at this place please note management has changed and it is not for the better. (you may or may not have noticed) I don't know what happened with this place but it has fallen off big time, I used to love their beef lo mein but it has a weird sweet (almost sugary) taste to it and the color of the noodles themselves are just too pale (call me weird but I like my lo mein a little dark because I know it's been seasoned properly) for some reason the original owners did not show the new owners how to make this dish how they used to make it because every OTHER item we've ordered tastes okay but that lo mein has me wondering what went wrong in there. It sucks we no longer have a Chinese spot for the weekends that's close to home because of the lack of quality they now serve. read more

First, the wonton soup was maybe the best I've ever had. The fried rice was just ok. The Szechwan beef was sweet and not spicy in the slightest but I will say it was very tender and still tasty. I have picked up general Tso's chicken from here before. It has been a good experience, until the last meal. I brought the general home and it was not fit for consumption. I brought it back and decided to have their seafood plate instead. She actually charged me the 2 bucks for the difference in price. If she would have just replaced tso's and call it even Steven, I would not be writing this today. We never received our food so I can't post a review on how good or bad it tasted. My review is strictly on the customer service. We had places an online order and paid with our credit card to have it delivered to our hotel exactly 7 miles away from the restaurant at around 5:09pm. So at 6:55pm when we were still waiting for our food and starving we called and the person told us that they had canceled our ordered and that the other girl was suppose to call and tell us which of course she did not. The girl told us that she canceled our order bc we were out of the delivery zone which is fine but at least follow up and make sure that your customer is aware that their food order has been canceled and isn't sitting their waiting for food for almost 2 hours. The women never did apologize for the inconvenience she simply said the other girl was suppose to call you but truthfully I have no idea who the other girl is. So my advice go with someone else that cares if you receive your meal if your going to need delivery. read more

Chinese Kitchen had great customer service skills, very easy to understand. No food was missing from my order, which was a very large order. Pricing was very affordable for the Extra-Large portions that were given with our Dinner Combination Platters. Our food was still very hot even though we chose delivery, something very hard to come by. I would highly recommend due to the best "Bang For Your Buck" portion sizing.
