We went to Kanton Kanton with my certified service dog. The hostess requested paperwork/permits, proving he was a service dog, because the other customers in the resturaunt would complain. Firstly, there were no other guests in the resturaunt, and secondly, we advised her that her request was against ADA Regulations. They still refused service, which quite frankly gave us an excuse to leave the place since the ambiance was a little shady. read more

This place is sort of a hole in the wall, but they have good food, the dining area was clean, there was plenty of room for lots of people, and everyone was friendly. I had the chicken and vegetables with a dark sauce. It was the lunch special, which came with either pork fried rice or regular fried rice and then either egg drop soup or wonton soup. I got the egg drop soup. I also got hot tea, which was $2.50 for a big pot of tea But they said that was just supposed to be for one person. I was not able to drink the whole thing myself, but it was a good tea. It was Jasmine, but she had told me they usually have green tea. I was kind of surprised they did not have oolong tea, But it was okay. She also said that they don't use Napa cabbage for any of their dishes, the sort of a bummer because I love Napa cabbage. But regardless, the food was good and the portion was sufficient. I ended my meal with a fortune cookie that was missing the fortune lol. Saw their reviews on google, I thought, wow, a Chinese restaurant 3 minutes from my house! After ordering over the phone, I checked yelp, and seriously debated on not picking up the take-out order...I had never done that before, but I really should have! All the reviews here are correct - The portions are laughable. I ordered "Steak on a Stick" for $6.75. At any other Chinese takeaway, you would get 3-4 slices of steak per stick. Here? ONE tiny slice of steak. I was sold empty sticks. What a joke. Also...The food here looked good. But tasted like absolutely NOTHING. No seasoning, no salt, no pepper. Each dish tasted identical to the others. They were bathed in sodium-free soy sauce or something. Just terrible. The place was absolutely empty when I picked up the food. The lady who took my order was nice...almost too nice - Like when someone is being super nice because they are secretly about to rip you off. AVOID! 0/5, let this place go bankrupt. Embarrassment. Really really disappointed. Was craving Chinese food and thought to try somewhere new since our go to was closed. Not only were the portions smaller than a kids meal the Generals Taos was so over cook it was like eating pork rinds with sauce, the beef lo mein had good flavor but the noodles were mush like baby food, and the wonton soup was 100% clear and basically tasteless. But the Pork fried rice, crab ragoons and egg rolls were good and the delivery guy was very polite and showed early. $70 bucks for 3 combos and crab ragoons...... not worth it IMO, I wouldn't recommend these guys to anyone. read more

This was my first time ordering from this restaurant and the food was not edible. The fried chicken was not completely fried so it was pale chicken in honey. the Lo mein had soy sauce just thrown on it. It was the worst Chinese food I have ever ordered. This place gives you child sized servings for adult prices. They forgot my noodles that were apart of my noodles and veggies, forgot my soup, and charged 65 dollars for about 20-25 dollars worth of food. I've tasted Chinese food up and down the East Coast but I have to say this is the worst Chinese food I've ever had their portions are small and it's expensive. General Tao chicken and Kung Pao Pork are very easy dishes and I would have expected it more. Tao chicken had no chicken and it was all breaded and fried. When they claimed it to be lightly breaded. I'm very picky about Chinese Food and have tried other places and refuse to go back to them. I have stuck with Kanton Kanton for about 16 years consistently and this is the ONLY Chinese restaurant we order from. We either get take out or delivery and have never had a problem. The lady that answers the phone has always been very very nice to me. People are too critical of foreign accents and need to have patience. I don't think it's expensive at all. We have been very happy with our orders especially the vegetable eggs rolls! (My personal favorite) People are too quick to complain and too slow to compliment. I recommend that you give them a try. The map is wrong, this is on 84 between University & Pine Island. I kept it simple, with veggie fried rice and hot & sour soup to go. Veggie fried rice is delicious! Fresh vegetables, not greasy. Surprisingly good! Hot & Sour soup is not so great. It's WAY TOO sour!! Also, there is only one type of mushroom. A basic sliced mushroom...that's a first! There are usually 3 or so different mushrooms in this type of soup. I would go back bc it's close to home & the fried rice was good, but won't be getting the soup again. read more

After ordering from multiple Davie Chinese Delivery restaurants that we're all horrible - this one ended our search. It's not the best Chinese but it's definitely the best Chinese that delivers in Davie.. If you're lazy like me and don't want to drive to pick up your food and are willing to wait an hour to get it, order from this place. Make sure you check your order sometimes they forget the sauces. When we order it's usually sweet & sour chicken, egg rolls, egg drop soup, crab Rangoon and pork fried rice. The fried rice is good, lots of meat but always needs a ton of soy added for flavor. The crab Rangoon is made with cream cheese and there's more of that than actual crab, but they're still very tasty. The egg rolls taste like egg rolls and the egg drop soup tastes like a salty broth egg drop soup, nothing spectacular. Overall it's a very consistent meal every time. They add an extra charge for all kinds of stupid stuff. Brown rice instead of white rice they wanted $4 and they don't even give you a full rice container, they give barely any rice for $4.
