This spot is THE SOOO GOOD! Best Chinese seafood fast food by far! Extra friendly owner good customer service! Love the love menu! I ordered the sesame chicken and it is THE BOMB! I love it! Flavor is very good and rich! Nice & hot although I ordered for pick up! The cheese puffs are THE BEST! So delicious like butter! Chicken perfectly cooked and tender! Unexpected but glad I came to try out the food! Definitely a winner!! If your looking for a good Chinese food look no further ! This is your best bet! Try it yourself!! 10 stars from me! Absolutely delicious!

The lady that took our order was really sweet and friendly. Not sure if she's the owner, but it seemed like she was. A+ customer service. Prices are very affordable! We got two meals that came with soup and egg rolls for only $18. Food was ready fast and it tasted like it was fresh of the wok rather than reheated in the microwave. The menu has a good variety of different dishes. Will definitely be back soon!

Totally not into Chinese food all that much, but so glad Yelp suggested this place. I placed a lunch order today: free delivery (orders over $20), received it correctly and EARLY. Everything was fresh, well presented and not overly saturated with grease like majority of the Chinese plates I've had at other places. Not to mention their prices are really great. I will be ordering again. 5 stars!

I've been coming here for more than 2 years now and I'm still am still a sucker for their food as much as I was, if not more, than in the beginning!!!! Customer service has always been exceptional and the food is always cooked to order! I bring in my out of town visitors when I have a taste for Chinese food and I'm never let down! I reviewed Chinese Seafood Plus about a year ago but I wanted to review just to confirm again, THAT IT'S STILL ALL GOOD YA'LL !!!!!

This place is bomb! I was so surprised with how fresh the food was! We got the pepper steak, orange chicken, and shrimp with garlic sauce. The shrimp came with tons of perfectly cooked broccoli. I will say the rice needs a little work, but the entrees were so good, it wasn't a big deal. Also, the service was wonderful. We came in late, and Cynthia took care or us right away. Will be back!

I found that Chinese food in Houston hasn't been as good as in my home town of New York City until I came here to Chinese Seafood Plus. The food was surprisingly better than what I expected; very good in fact. The food was served quickly (no waiting around for it to be served). The service was great from the girls there and they were genuinely friendly and helpful. The great thing about this place is that it's only a few minutes away from my home. I'll definitely be coming back. If you're looking for a spot to satisfy your cravings for Chinese food for a low price, then this the place for you. I recommend the General Tso Chicken

Was told that they recently remodeled so the restaurant looks clean and fresh. Great prices, especially less than $10 a dish for dinner. Dishes could probably be shared between two people because the proportions were huge! If you're not sharing, then there would be plenty of leftovers to take home! Kung Pao Beef was great and was not as spicy as expected, Salt and Pepper Fish had a great taste with a kick to it and could have been a little crunchier, Cashew Chicken was delicious and had great flavor, Sweet and Sour Chicken was fried very nicely (be sure to pour the sauce given if you want more of the sweet and sour taste, but it was fine dipped too), and the rice did not stick together and was cooked a little more to the dry side (which is personally my favorite so I loved it)

Dessert was a standout--the carrot cake was massive and easily the best I've ever had. The ambiance had a romantic vibe with soft lighting that wasn't too dark, making it perfect for a date night. Our server was amazing--friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable about the menu. Reservations are definitely recommended. Unfortunately, this turned out to be one of the most disappointing dining experiences I've had in quite some time. We had an 8:00 PM reservation but weren't seated until around 8:30 PM. While delays happen and I was willing to overlook that, the experience only went downhill from there. We ordered Palomas to kick off our Friday night. The drinks took quite a while to arrive, and when they did, they were noticeably watered down. I politely mentioned it to our server, who quickly took them back and brought replacements, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the second round was nearly identical to the first. When I brought it up again, instead of acknowledging the feedback, the server responded by saying it was "just not a sugary drink." That completely missed the point. I wasn't expecting a sweet cocktail--I was pointing out that the drinks tasted diluted and poorly made. What bothered me most wasn't the drinks themselves, but how the feedback was handled. I wasn't looking for free drinks or trying to be difficult. I was simply offering honest feedback, and it felt like my opinion was being dismissed rather than heard. Unfortunately, the food didn't redeem the experience. We ordered several dishes to get a good sense of the menu, and most were overwhelmingly salty. The salt overpowered any other flavors to the point that we couldn't finish some of the dishes. The sushi was the best thing we had, but even that lacked the presentation and quality I would expect at this price point. To be fair, the manager did remove the drinks from our bill as a courtesy, and I appreciate that gesture. However, by that point the damage had already been done. A resolution is only effective when guests feel heard and respected throughout the process. Instead, I felt like I had to defend my opinion and justify my feedback before anyone took it seriously. At the end of the day, a restaurant can be trendy, crowded, and beautifully designed, but none of that matters if the food and service don't deliver. Balboa Surf Club has the atmosphere and location, but in my experience it falls short where it matters most. Overall, I'm glad I finally tried it because I had always been curious, but now I know I won't be back and cannot recommend it. If you're looking for a similar concept, I'd recommend Hudson House. The atmosphere is comparable, but the drinks are consistently well-made, the food is much better, and the service has always been far superior.

The decor was a combo of old money Houston and mid-century mod. Lots of plants, lots of wood. Very dim. Service was slow but attentive and friendly. There are no mocktails on the drink menu, but they have a few on deck. They can also custom make you one. My husband ordered a Paloma and stated that it was very strong. For an app, we got the coconut shrimp. 10/10 -- well fried, coconut forward. Fun and easy bites. We also got the salmon roll and thought it was refreshing. Light umami, sauce was not needed. For our mains, we got the cheeseburger and redfish. My husband does not love seafood, but he devoured the redfish. It was flaky, buttery, with lots of crab. The burger was ok -- it reminded me of an elevated Big Mac. It was not a bad burger, but it wasn't that melty, gooey, buttery number some of us love. Get the lemon meringue. She is zesty, she is thick, she is tall. My husband, toddler, and I shared it and were stuffed. Balboa is a place I would take someone who likes seafood and good vibes.

Cool surroundings and nice tables and decor. We got here early and got a table. Nice people and good service! Food was just OK. Crab dipper appetizer was OK. Crab tasted a little old. Bread and butter were good as were the salads. My son got the Salmon which was pretty good (came with dirty rice that was alright. My wife had the whol Branzino prepared Greek style, and it was good, but not great (maybe a little overdone). Our sons neighbor recommended the "Christie's pride" and that is what I got. It was... interesting. The seafood dressing was kind of odd and a bit pungent. It was, as I said, interesting. Looking back the waiter maybe hinted to not get that, but I came in here to try it. Kind of a let down, but there was a big menu so assuming other dishes are better. The main disappointment is that prices were steep! The 3 dishes we had plus appetizer was $150 (No drinks... no dessert)! Would have been a fair price if we all thought the food was amazing. But at best it was "pretty good" Like I said/ lots going for it but no plans to return...
