Your app sucks and so does your AI that answers the calls. There is no notes for when you order if you want it on the side. So I thought ok I will order it and call the store to have them put it on the side, Nope! I was wrong because you can't even get to the store when you call. I will start by saying that we love Chipotle and eat at there often. We also travel quite a bit and so we have eaten at many across the country. This is by far the worst Chipotle I have ever been to. We waited for quite a while to be served because staff was busy preparing online orders and tidying up the restaurant - yet there was still trash all over the floors. When we were served the staff was unpleasant and cold. As for the food, the rice was undercooked and hard. The portions were typical for Chipotle and fine. My chicken was fine and my daughter's steak was also fine. The women's bathroom was filthy with paper towels, and toilet paper all over the floors and overfilled feminine hygiene trash bins. My husband said that he had previously vowed to never return to this location...tonight we all renewed that vow! Also, Chipotle...you have multiple one star reviews. You'd think since this location is far out in Barstow that it wouldn't be such good of a chipotle right? WRONG. At least in this last weekend visit I had with it, this was one of my BEST chipotle experiences. With this current staff (always subject to change but hopefully not soon) the food and service was C-H-I-P-O-T-L-E. Like everything was prepared so well, it was reminding me of how chipotle used to be before a lot of locations started going down in quality. This place had the best rice, meats, and THE CHIPS! The chips were made like the first chipotle chips! Nowadays, they are too dark and not salty or limey... at least in the orange and LA locations but these... perfect. I'm huge on chipotle it's literally my go to fast food and my family and all friends know it! I hope it stays like this with its management for a while. Portions were amazing and it was so good and everything was cooked as it should be. If I could rate this experience higher then I would. My family and I haven't eaten at chipotle in a while, so while drive through to California we stopped at this location. Almost $50 spent and we were all still hungry. My kids got. $5 meal that came with a baby size tortilla quesadilla a small bag of chips and a scoop of rice and beans. I felt like they were getting rations. For $5 at Taco Bell they can get a chalupa, huge burrito, nachos, crunchy taco and a drink. I got a burrito and remember not being able to finish the whole thing. They used to be huge. Now I not only finished it, but was still hungry. It was like the size of a half pound bean and cheese from Del Taco, but $10. My wife got a skimpy salad with a little bit of crap on top. I'm not one to complain. I understand that sometimes things happen but I have to share this. Stopped in the Barstow location tonight for dinner. The food was edible. Definitely the smallest portion of meat that we've ever been served in a Chipotle. There were only about five occupied tables (and we were the only ones in line) the rest of the dining area was open but not one table was clean! After wiping down our own table, I thought maybe one of the four employees at the counter would come tend to the tables.... Nope. Ok whatever. Then upon leaving I had to use the restroom and it was in utter chaos. The seats hadn't been cleaned in hours if that. Urine stained and all. Worst Chipotle I have ever experienced. All tables were dirty. Staff was not friendly and customer service was terrible. As part of our order we ordered one kids meal. The kids meal comes with a choice of chips or fruit. We requested chips and I was told they didn't have any and we could only have fruit which we accepted thinking they were completely out of chips. Then we noticed other customers who ordered a side of chips were receiving chips. When I went back to ask for chips they said they didn't have any kids meal chips. Basically they ran out of the smaller paper bags and somehow couldn't just put fewer chips in a full size bag. These people are either unbelievably dumb or just trying to give customers a difficult time. Terrible, unbelievable! Perhaps it was a stroke of bad luck that for my first sampling of the lauded "fancier than fast food" joint Chipotle happened to be on a road trip back to Vegas after a weekend getaway to SoCal. I'm guessing that the Barstow location is one of the "bad apples in the bunch" and my guess would be that the District Manager that covers this location must consider it a thorn in his/her side. Operating a food joint in Barstow's Outlet Center Drive lends itself to certain inalienable truths: the bathrooms will be gross, the employees will be stressed, and the restaurant will be pretty dirty. The possible exception to this is In N Out, but even they fall behind on restroom maintenance once in a while. Be that as it may, I will take those certain inalienables into consideration while assessing my review, but even still, I cannot grant above a 2/5 rating. Allow me to explain. The atmosphere was what I expected having read and seen this chain talked about significantly over the years. How it was founded, what their principles are, and how they relentlessly focus on sustainable, fresh ingredients, and a modern "quick casual" service model. The restaurant was as clean as I expected it to be and the restrooms were certainly as gross as I expected as well. Though I get the environment aspects, I still really hate places that only provide air dryers for hand drying as opposed to paper. But that's just me. The place was packed and had a line to the door, which I'm guessing is pretty standard. I ordered the chicken burrito, my wife had the carve Assad bowl, and the kids had kids meals. The ordering process was quick and simple enough. With our 4 meals and a bottled beer, the total was $27.xx. Higher than McDonalds but lower than it could have been (I skipped on a drink altogether). The value wasn't great. The food quality was good. I don't deny that the ingredients were fresh and sustainable. What I take issue with is the lack of flavor from the supposed "hot" salsa and the marinated chicken. The flavor simply wasn't there. Honestly, I think I would have gotten a more flavorful burrito for 1/3 less of the price at Del Taco, and that is probably where we will go next time. Now, admittedly, Del Taco lacks the modern look and feel and I don't think DT gives a crap about sustainability, but truth be told, neither do I. I just want a flavorful burrito that isn't a ripoff. I'm pretty sure everyone and their mothers have tried Chipotle and some point in their life. I remember the first time I tasted Chipotle. It was my Freshmen year in College, about 8 years ago. I still had my metabolism and I could throw down two burritos. Since then, I have cut back due to fat issues. I still have lots of memories of eating at Chipotle. Dining alone, because blind date stood me up... Eating Chips and Salsa, because I got mugged and didn't have enough for a Burrito... This restaurant was my ultimate go to comfort food. Out of all the places in Barstow to eat on the way to Vegas, this would be my go to place. It's busy like most Chipotle's I've ever been too. A little about my credentials: I first got into cooking & food when I was in college. After being rejected by numerous girls and getting zero action, I decided it was time for a change. I needed a new makeover to boost my geeky, engineering image. I applied for a cooking position at a Mediterranean-Italian Restaurant near my home and learned to cook all sorts of pastas and dishes. While driving back to Southern California from Las Vegas, I was a tad hungover and needed the ultimate cure, which for me means Chipotle! When I entered through the doors, I was shocked to find how long the line was at this location. I've never seen a busier Chipotle. That being said, they need to find a way to move the line quickly. I was so annoyed with how slowly the line moved and how annoying the children behind me were, that I ordered my bowl off the Chipotle App. When I went to the register when it was time for my order, it still was ready. I'm actually ok with that as they made it rather quickly and it tasted fresh and delicious. Plus my estimate is that, I ordering off the app, saved me at least 10 minutes! Jenny, the employee at the register was great. She apologized for my food not being ready and comped me a drink for the inconvenience. I don't drink soda, so I was looking forward to drinking iced tea. The tea canister was empty -_- so I ended up getting Diet Coke. I did not bother the employees with my iced tea request as they were already super busy. One compliment I'll pay this Chipotle, other than having a great employee in Jenny, is their carnitas. Best carnitas I've had at Chipotle. So in conclusion, I'll be generous and give this location three stars because of Jenny and the carnitas! But they have a lot to fix here. read more

First, I absolutely love Chipotle! This one unfortunately was not good! I know enough to tell them that I have a gluten allergy because they will switch their gloves. However, this place said that their food was not gluten-free. I knew better, so proceeded to Order a burrito bowl. I didn't catch that the sour cream was Runny until I already had it in front of me eating it. When my husband took my bowl back to show them, they wouldn't do anything about it because I had already started eating. They also tried to convince me that their queso Blanca (sp?) was Not GF. Their bathroom rules are absurd, one person allowed in at a time, when it's a 4 stall.
