Been swinging by this location for my burrito fix lately. They are not usually too busy unless you go right during lunch rush. They have a new seasoned chicken that is mighty tasty and I'm hooked! Seems to be something not on the permanent menu and noone there knows how long it's around but if it were up to me it would definitely stay. Yelp tip: ask for a double tortilla so the burrito doesn't fall apart as easily. You can get 2 scoops of rice and beans without any added charges. The salad had a generous amount of chicken and plenty of the chipotle honey sauce, so I didn't really need the vinaigrette on the side. It was pretty good overall. This is a very solid Chipotle location and one of the closer ones to my apartment, so it's become a go-to for lunch when I'm working from home. I've been here quite a bit, and the staff is always super friendly and efficient, which I appreciate. The portions aren't the biggest I've had at a Chipotle, but they're still decent, and the food is consistently good. A nice bonus is the ample seating at this location, which makes it a great spot if you decide to dine in. Overall, it's a solid Chipotle with no complaints from me! read more

Warning to Other Customers: Be cautious of a person asking for donations, as they may be trying to scan your credit card or steal your wallet. While dining at this location, I had my wallet on the table (not the smartest move, I know, but I had never experienced anything like this before). A well-dressed man in his 30s came over, held two empty Chipotle bags over my wallet, and asked for donations. Sensing something was off, I immediately reached for my wallet. The moment he saw me do that, he ran out of the restaurant. This is just a heads-up for anyone visiting--keep an eye on your belongings. As for the restaurant itself, the food was fantastic. I grab lunch from a Chipotle about once a week or once every two weeks. It's good, reliable, and usually pretty quick... it's a Chipotle. There isn't much to say about this location b/c it isn't much different from any other Chipotle location. However, I will say that the staff was friendly but a bit sluggish on the assembly line. There was a decently-sized lunch crowd while I was there and it would probably serve them well to speed things up just a bit. However, the restaurant was clean and the food was decently made (though they do skimp a bit on the toppings...). So if you're up/around the northwest corner of the Loop give them a try. I'm sureI'll be back again in the future, but may try the other, equidistant location first. read more

So overall good chipotle, service is good, food is good. I WAS PICK POCKETED. But don't eat here unless you want to get pick pocketed!!!!! This man sat behind me and stole my ID, debit card, another debit card and credit card, then within 15 minutes was at the Target on State street and had racked up $800+!! By the time I noticed everything was out of my wallet, the damage was done. I went back to Chipotle and the manager was very kind to show me their security feed but said that they're aware of this man and he comes in often and does this. That's extremely unsettling! Yes I understand there are two doors/chipotle rush is insane, and you're working on getting security, but not making it known to customers and not telling him to leave when he enters is unacceptable and not being transparent with customers let alone keeping us safe. I came in for lunch as I often times do. It was a nice line, but It moved very fast!!!! You can see from my lovely pictures how it went down. I had AGAIN steak(double) salad. My toppings: Romaine Double meat Pico Sour cream Cheese I always ask for 2 dressings-the cups are never filled to the top or even halfway. The dressing is tangy and yum. I am not sure as to what is in it, but I have not tasted anything like it before. The steak this time was hot-it's usually a bit cold(not sure why). They almost gave my salad to another person twice when not paying attention to who's bowl belonged to whom. I suppose that happens during a lunch rush and the servers are working fast. I didnt have any issues with this visit. Pretty much in and out. I sat in and ate my lunch. And it disappeared in my tummy faster than it took me to order. It happens like that sometimes-lol. Staff at this location are poor. Don't even know about what customer service is and how they should interact with a customer. I ordered a bowl with no lettuce but it was putted in When I realised that I came back to change it. Employees were arguing with me and telling that they are right "you told us to do so", I just hate lettuce. After all they have only remove the top from the bowl. Ordered online at this location and my bowl came without rice or fajitas. The bowl was literally just chicken & the toppings? Every single time I do a mobile order for pick up at this location my order says it's ready and it's not. after waiting 20+ minutes for it to come out after politely asking 2 times, they told me "you came in late so someone stole it." I had been waiting there a couple minutes earlier than pick up time, so this was untrue. I normally would not complain, however if someone is doing a mobile order for a specific time it's for a reason. mostly everyone coming into this location is working in a nearby office and needs to get back to work. I did not have time to wait which is why I did a pick up order for a specific time. Nearly 15+ staff members and not being able to get a mobile order out in time, or even providing standard customer service when the order is late is unacceptable. staff should not blame the customer when they fail to provide timely service. read more

Food is good. Not sure why I ordered online for pickup and got food without a fork or even a spoon to eat with. The bag was closed with a sticker so I assumed I had something to eat with...I didn't. Not to mention someone put so much juice from the meat in my bowl that my bag was soaked from leakage and my bowl almost fell out. I like to think I have visited at least every Chipotle in the city, and in my opinion this is the best one (and I am not saying it because I work a block away from it). I am probably the biggest Chipotle fiend, I mean fan their is. LOL!!! I always get the Chicken Burrito with no beans, tomatoes, corn, sour cream, cheese and a little bit of lettuce. This particular location is great. They move fast and if you come enough they recognize your face and hook you up with free food. The one thing I love about this location is they have a designated pick-up window. No more standing awkwardly by the register or feeling frustrated because the cashier refuses to make eye contact with you! Granted, I came after the lunch rush, but this alone makes me happy! I love Chipotle and this is the closest one to where I live. I would normally give any Chipotle 5 stars and could probably eat here at least 2 times a day, but this one had to work for it... I initially wanted to rate it 4 out of 5 due to the fact that they have really weird hours and tend to be a little skimpy on portions in comparison to other Chipotles. HOWEVER, this is the first Chipotle I've come to that didn't make me feel stupid or turn me down when I ordered a Quesarito, so it earned it's 5th star. For those of you who are unaware of what this magnificently mouth-watering beast of a concoction is, all I can tell you is that you're missing out. The Quesarito is just what it sounds like -- a burrito wrapped in a quesadilla. This succulent morsel redefines overconsumption. Upon ordering this colossal monster, I was warned of two things: 1. That it will be charged as a burrito and a quesadilla. 2. That it packs over 2,000 calories... I said "let's do it," and the rest is history. I can only eat one of these puppies about once every couple months, but when I do it's ever so satisfying. read more

I've always wondered how they move through the massive line so quickly. Because it's out the door pretty much every day, and with all the other lunch options around here, it has to move fast for people to be willing to wait. Well, today I learned. They basically skip the step where they heat up the tortillas. I mean, they technically put it on the press, but only for approximately 3 seconds, which means your tortilla is not even a little bit warm. Other than that, though, it's a perfectly decent option in the area for lunch. As I mentioned, they really do move through the line incredibly fast. They have enough people working behind the counter that the bottlenecks don't get too bad. A little skimpy on the salsa and cheese, but I've been to worse. read more

The menu is limited - there IS nothing that stands out about this place, and yet every day, there is a line down the street for a bland burrito or taco. I used to tell my co-workers that the food at Chipotle was laced with testosterone and Viagra as the ratio of men to women in line was 99 to 1. Everyone should like Chipotle. We all know someone so enamored with the place that they go at least once a week (me). If you're not going to give your friend the benefit of the doubt and try it until you find something you like, what does that say about you? (It says you're a jerk I think.) There really is something for everybody on the menu, and once you find it, you're not going to order anything else. For me it's the barbacoa, black beans, hot and mild salsa, sour cream and cheese. That's all I ever get. This 'pote location gets hammered for lunch, but they really move you through the line quickly, so don't be put off when you see people standing outside. And despite the crowds, they're usually pretty good about making an organized burrito without slopping things in there haphazardly, though it will happen from time to time. Chipotle is my favorite downtown fast casual burrito. I like that they "press" the tortilla vs steaming. This makes it less gummy. This location is busy as are all the downtown locations at lunch but they move people through much faster than the 205 N. Michigan location. They also have a decent amount of seating including stools by the window so you can watch the downtown rush. Chipotle is a step above Qdoba and Burrito Beach. read more

This 5 star review is specifically targeted at the Chipotle employee, Natalie. I have noticed her before, and have always been impressed by her exceptional customer service. When I went to Chipotle today, the second I stepped in the door she warmly welcomed me. She was so kind, upbeat, and friendly throughout the order and I really enjoyed engaging with her. This was also towards the end of the day, but instead of presenting as tired or worn out, she was so alert and positive. I am sure she makes people's days on a frequent basis. Natalie should get a raise or promotion or both because she rocks! On a side note, I always get the sofritas bowl, and that is delicious. Just make sure you hold the bag by the bottom if you get it to-go and have a lengthily walk back to work (I have had the bottom get wet and the bowl fall out twice before!) read more

I love Chipotle. I tend to go to this one because it is close to my apartment. I end up getting there when the line is out the door usually at lunch time. However, the line moves very fast. I love the fact that the restaurant buys local and uses humanely raised meats. I am a big fan of that. The food is really good and always fresh. I am also a huge fan of the homemade guac. I went with some co-workers to a place that they said was a 'cutting edge, high glamor mexican joint.' It totally was. The glamor was evident from the moment I stepped in and noticed the lavender and rust red colors on the wall. There was a massive line of customers who likely weren't previously poisoned by this place, so that instilled some confidence in me. The line took about 10 minutes. I did not develop any plantar faschiatis during that time, so for that I'm pretty jazzed. I got up to the front, and ordered from a person who was adept at her job, and ran that burrito assembly joint like a pro. She was basically a human borg. I got a burrito, and the preparers were generally thoughtful and careful. I didn't see any boogers fall from their noses, nor did I notice a single pube in my meal. These are key ingredients to a good quality experience. The parking was not a breeze, and the napkins were a bit flimsy. The guac was expensive, and you'd have thought there was a shortage of avacadoes on earth because of this cost. read more

Chipotle is always good. This location is no exception in my opinion. It's always pretty busy when I go here since it's during the lunchtime rush, and they always do a good job of being speedy and efficient. Even if the line is out the door, you're up front ordering your food before you know it. Aside from that, I often see staff members wiping down the tables to ensure a clean experience (no one likes to eat at a dirty table). Overall, would recommend! read more

This chipotle is for sure busy. Came here for lunch while shopping downtown. It was super busy and crowded. There were no tables to sit at. They need to provide for room for sitting. Is at a prime location and they know they are always going to be busy. The staff was really nice, but is hard to give a higher star when we had to wait so long to sit and eat. I'm pretty sure Chipotle is Chipotle no matter where you go. This one is close to my work so I tend to frequent it quite a bit. I usually order the burrito bowl with no rice to minimize the carb intake and add guacamole and the total is about $8. The ingredients are always good tasting and plentiful ... very plentiful! I usually only come here when I want to be a fat kid or have an extreme hangover. I always order online and pick up the food at the pick up window in the back which they even have a separate door for! This makes it much quicker because as some other reviewers have mentioned during the lunch rush the line is definitely wrapped around and out the door. My only complaint is that the other lunch spots on the block have outdoor seating and Chipotle does not. A coworker and I tried grabbing a table outdoors and got yelled at because Chipotle patrons were not allowed! read more
