Hi, I've visited this location twice now. The staff have been very kind and helpful, but I've noticed the protein (both the chicken and steak) seems unusually spicy compared to other Chipotle locations I've visited. It tastes over-seasoned or heavily spiced to the point that it's difficult to eat. I've never had this issue at other locations, so I wanted to bring it to your attention in case there's a seasoning or preparation inconsistency. It may also be too spicy for kids or customers who typically order the chicken expecting a milder option. read more

1) You have to wait in line just to pick up your food. They don't put it out in the public area. When I asked "why?" they said "a lot of thieves around here." 2) My salad was the worst Chipotle presentation, ever. I wish I could give them zero stars how do you constantly run out of white rice, black beans and chicken at 1 o'clock in the afternoon on a Sunday yet we watched the girl making all the takeout orders constantly come and rob the front line supplies until there were nothing left for the customers who've been standing in line for 15 minutes, so keep taking care of your online customers at the expense people who actually bothered to come into your business will never eat here again. So I went to this Chipotle this morning because I have a few gift cards I needed use. So today's experience was not good. I was was the next customer in line when I arrived , and when I left the store 10 minutes later I was still the next customer in line (FYI.... not the first time). I remember when chipotle had 1 person for meat / beans / rice; another person for salsa cheese; and yet another as cashier and the line would actually move. I got a BOGO deal on the app and figured it was a sign to stop in with my hubby and tot yesterday! Not to mention we were hangry after taking our tot to a play place! We ordered the Carnitas Salad and Carnitas Burrito Bowl. We love how they offer custom options, everything taste fresh and was very filling! This popular chain got it's start in Denver CO in 1993 and quickly expanded to over 3,800 locations! I've been coming to this location for a while and most of the employees are always friendly and welcoming, which is why this experience stood out so much. Every time I come in, Hannah gives me attitude for no reason. Today I ordered a kids quesadilla meal and clearly told the first employee I only wanted cheese. Out of nowhere Hannah came over, took over the order, and asked "steak?" even after I had already explained it. She then said "k what do you want" THOSE EXACT WORDS. She has blonde curly hair, with glasses and is heavy set. Seems miserable The whole interaction felt rude and unnecessary. I frequent this Chipotle because it's close to home, but unfortunately the consistency just isn't there. My family's order gets messed up almost every single time. Missing items, wrong toppings, or bowls not made correctly. It's especially frustrating with mobile orders; I really wouldn't recommend using the app for this location because the accuracy just isn't reliable. The food itself is fine when it's made correctly, but the repeated mistakes have been disappointing. Checkout was swift but the blonde girl who put my food together was really rude and treated me like I was interrupting her and her coworkers conversations. They were being lazy as they didn't have enough of those items for the rest of the line so I assume they were trying to conserve. This place BLOWS. Had an online order, got the notification it was ready. Went inside and the bag wasn't in the pickup spot. Waited while they went through the entire line before literally every employee made eye contact with me and then just went back to their duties. One employee even went to the back to work on more online orders when I could see the finished bags that were ready to go, right next to her. Again, zero acknowledgment towards me. I have been coming to this chipotle at least once a week since it opened. My whole family enjoys eating here. I usually get an extra side or two but recently they have began charging for this. I am not sure if this is for all the chipotles in the franchise but all the employees seem quite annoyed with this. I have given this chipotle plenty of bussiness and the food here is already not cheap. They should not charge for these small sides. 9/3/23 We had a giftcard to Chipotle and hate to not use it so we've come to claim it. Will admit we don't have high expectations but today's visit wasn't as bad as our last visit in terms of cleanliness and service. I was bummed that the Chicken Al pastor was seasonal only. Hubs liked the barbacoa meat option. Oldest liked the steak option and my youngest and I tend to default to chicken. The portions were a bit on the light side these days. However 4 orders Togo for under $50 wasn't technically a bad trip. Today was an easy Togo order. Service was quick. Inside dining today was cleaner than our last visit as well. Got food from this location through Doordash. Usually a huge fan of chipotle, however this time the burrito was much smaller than normal, had 3-4 small pieces of steak which were chewy and inedible along with a large chunk of fat. Chips were one positive as they're flavorful with salt and lime, would have liked more than a small handful however. Value is 4/5 fairly cheap but would happily pay more for higher quality and quantity of food. I recommend if you're looking for the best Chipotle in our area, the one off of Sunrise. This has to be the worst chipotle of all time when it comes to DoorDash/takeout orders. I have ordered from here many times, and the order arrives either entirely incorrect or the SMALLEST portion sizes in the history of Chipotle. It's actually laughable. Honestly most of these reviews are made by Karen's and Kevin's. I spent $70 the other day here and two of my items weren't correct. I came in with my name and told them the situation and they took care of it immediately without hassling me for anything even though I had a receipt and time I came in the prior day. Anyone saying "it's run by teens", dope..were YOU working your butt off as a teen? They are nothing but accommodating and kind. Especially when you take into consideration that they are service workers in the middle of summer (while I'm writing this) working mid day and nights instead of doing anything else. I really hope the employees who make and pack the online orders double check the bags. I have no issues when dining in, but every single online order comes either missing several items, under portioned, or completely wrong. I am going to start off by saying this, I dont leave reviews often and when I do, I like them to be positive. I cant say the same for this review. This Chipotle in El Dorado Hills is the prime example of how far Chipotle has fallen. The lack of standards, quality, and service is unbelievable. I refuse to come back to this location and dread the possibility of DoorDash automatically choosing it as the store that accepts my order when I place one. The portion sizes at this location are beyond pathetic, to a point that TikTok would have a field day with this location. The food itself is cold, and to a level that is almost comical. This location could learn something from the Folsom locations. I am absolutely shocked by how bad it is for a location in El Dorado Hills. No wonder this place is rated 1.5/5.. My $10 quesadilla is a 4" square made out of their huge tortilla with what looks to be maybe half a scoop of chicken and cheese. My quesadilla is somehow missing a big piece of tortilla on the face and on one side of the cut in half square, all of the extra flaps of tortilla have been torn off also?? Were they trying to make the tortilla to filling ratio make sense? Were they hungry? Who knows.. In the picture of the two halves, the top half(which is the underside in the first picture) only had a couple bites with of chicken right along the torn edge, the rest was just cheese... The other half had a decent amount of chicken out bite all the way through, but that half of a tiny quesadilla was essentially *the* quesadilla. Pretty disappointing to say the least. Hospitality was not in the room tonight when going in to order. Not one person said hi to me, then started throwing food in a bowl and shoving it to another person and spilling some of the food on the counter. The cashier just told me the price and then shoved the food at me and the whole bowl popped open in the bag. They had quite a few employees but a lot of them are in the back clearly pre closing. Not something to expect when there is a line to the front door. Not a great experience. I get they are trying to be quick and get the guests in and out but goodness, take a breath and slow down. read more

With that, it takes 10-15 minutes for the food to be ready just so you can eat. It's almost laughable how bad this chipotle is. It's very clear why they only have 1 star. They are out of something almost every time we've been. Basic things like, forks, napkins. It's embarrassing for them. It's always dirty, their customer service sucks. Just a bunch of disgruntled teenagers. We've never seen a manager there, which we have come a handful of times to keep giving it a try, but now we just know it sucks. As well, I don't know why they are open until 11pm, it felt closed and very unwelcoming when I came in just before 10pm as a last resort since not a lot is open at this time. Do the "Chipotle Walk-Out" Of all the Chipotle locations I have visited, this one is the worst. Awful staff, most of them cannot even be bothered to make a decent burrito. They will load it up with rice, but not much else . Last time the hateful gentlemen with the black earrings did his usual and provided me about four small pieces of chicken on my burrito. It was then I decided to begin what I call "the chipotle walk-out" I let them finish making the burrito but there was no way I was paying for that garbage . So I simply told Mr Earrings that I'm not buying that slop and I'll be back tomorrow to try it again. But this is something everyone should do. When they try to be stingy on certain items , let them finish making your burrito, and simply walk out . Don't buy anything from them . I plan to do this from now on. The worst experience at what should be 100% stream line factory easy stuff from a to - go chain restaurant. We ordered some burrito bowls, and everything was incredibly salty, like really over salted like someone accidentally added extra salt. In addition, when we got in line, we were told that there was "no queso". And then I said, "for the rest of the day?" And they go "oh no, just for the next 10 minutes". And I said, "well, I can wait 10 minutes for queso". And they said OK we will let you know. After 25 minutes .... And checking a couple of times ... the queso was finally ready. We did eat our chips in the interim, so we did have to pay for more chips, but it would've been nice just to get a courtesy chip for having to wait 25 minutes for liquid cheese. I used my 350 points in the end to get chips. But, as I write this review, I realize this is a chain restaurant run by teenagers and you get what you pay for. But lunch was $40. I won't be going back to this location, but I have been to other chipotle locations that have been good. read more
