This is the by far the worst location ever! Half the time I get there and it's online ordering only. The employees are all rude and miserable. The rice is undercooked and crunchy. They will immediately treat you with hostility, put in the least amount of effort which just makes things more difficult for them in the long run, and then refuse to help you when you need something corrected. I ordered a burrito through the app and when I opened the bag the burrito was no more than twice the size of the sauce container. I've been to chipotle plenty of times ordering the same thing and the burrito is always twice if not three times the size. Went inside to ask if my order was messed up and the employees were very rude and told me the size of the burrito was "normal" size. Where do I begin... the restaurant is no longer open for in-person orders, so orders must be placed thru the app. Okay, cool. I place my order on my phone and wait patiently in my car for 15 minutes before going inside to pickup my order. Get back to work and open up my mean and this is what I find! First, I notice the bowl isn't even full- is this what we're doing now? Half the food for the same price? Next, I noticed there is no lettuce- and as you can see I order extra lettuce. Now this isn't my first complaint with this location- I have given them numerous chances. But today was the last straw. I was told that queso would be done in a couple minutes but waited 10 and they didn't even have the hospitality to not charge me for the queso, instead I was given the cheapest possible item for condolences, a medium cup. This chipotle gets worse every single time I come in. This time they had no ice, there was no cilantro in the rice and it was old rice. All of the protein options were burnt to a crisp so every single bite of my burrito just tasted like charcoal garbage. They finally hired more people but that just made it worse. Today I placed an online order for pick up. I went to the store at my pickup time to find the doors to the restaurant locked. Once I got inside I found many other customers standing around waiting for their online orders and a short line of customers getting served before any online orders were being made. I was told that I could wait for my order or cancel and be refunded from chipotle.com There is no way to cancel your order or receive a refund from chipotle.com you can only contact customer service. Later I called the store to speak with a manager and I got the same non-helpful information told to me that I had heard earlier today. I understand that stores are understaffed but to give people false hope by allowing them to order online and then not being able to fill those orders is very poor customer service. read more

As frustrating as it is, I have to leave a 1 star. My boyfriend and I live north of most locations and this one is the most convenient. Every time we build our meals they short us of what these $10 bowls should contain. My boyfriend never gets fajitas which I have read is a common problem with other customers, and I agree that it is not clean. The work ethic is not there with these employees and every single time we leave the store my boyfriend is more than frustrated and in a completely different mood due to the issues stated above. I'm leaving a low review because of the cleanliness of this place. Before I moved to Elk River I used to go to chipotle a lot and when I moved here to Elk River, this is the most disgusting Chipotle I've ever been to. I love chipotles food, but this place is a disgusting mess and there is food all over the place. The windows and doors are full of handprints and smears the food. Food Station has food all over it. If you are somebody that cannot have crossover food be aware. The employees walk around like they could give a shit so I have to question who and where is the manager? When I go here I always hope that it'll be different. Thinking maybe they just got through a rush, but it was completely empty when I got there and nobody was cleaning anything today. I'm not looking to get sick off your food so if the manager/owner could take a little more responsibility and train the employees clean up more that would really probably help. This is the must unsanitary Chipotles I've visited. I've tried this location 3 separate times. Each and every time they have failed miserably the food doesn't look are taste fresh. They never have the salad dressing always out or the staff is to damn lazy to make or prepare the dressing they don't clean the restaurant. My last visit the young lady took my payment for the food said after I was so dissatisfied said I only eat from the Maple Grove location. Well I visit that location yesterday same experience only this time I had the meanest Latina woman begrudgingly fix my bowl while mumbling offensive things in Spanish which I clearly understand and they had no salad dressing! This is without a doubt the worst chipotle I have ever been to. Somehow they manage to take 10 minutes per customer to make a burrito. Be prepared to stand in line for 25 to 30 minutes. Ever since they became online orders only it's been a crap show. Ordered a week ago and sat inside waiting for my food for 15 minutes thought no big deal they're probably backed up. This time I sat there for THIRTY minutes until I finally had enough and asked where my food was at. The guy there said it wasn't even in the computer then went and made it with the left over scraps of the night because by the time they made my food they had half an hour until close.. How could I get a confirmation number without it being in their computer? Anyways my burrito was basically rice and not the brown rice that I ordered it only had one scoop of brown rice and the rest was over cooked white rice. Chicken was hard and rubbery. I'm done eating the cat food they serve at this location. I was in and ordered two burritos. Only one young guy making the orders. There were others working but they left the one kid to make the orders and also ring them up at the register. The worst of it was that the kid had on a pair or gloves for handling the food but he did not remove them while unlocking and ringing at the register. The rule is that you are going to touch non-food items that are used by multiple people that you need to either wash your hands or put on a clean pair of gloves before returning to handling food. I really like chipotle and I normally don't have problems with them but the last few times I've ordered chips on this side they don't give me them and then tell me to get a refund. Well I finally got them today but there is very little chips in there barely enough to cover the bottom of the bag. You can see in the photo I cut the bag more than half way down and the chips are still way down in the bag. Elk River Chipotle is literally the worst chipotle I've ever been to. They take forever to prepare food, especially with online orders. Their meat is never shredded properly and it's always super fatty. The boxes and bags always tear and get soaked through.
