This review is based on a comparison of other similar fast food type restaurants not fine dining. I put this chipotle to the test by showing up at 9:45 on a Saturday night when they close at 10. I expected the employees to be quite annoyed particularly because we wanted to eat in the dining room and I came in with six people however everybody was well mannered and nice about it. The food was for the most part fresh despite the fact that it was the end of the evening, the chicken and pork were a little bit dried out but they had literally probably been sitting there for hours uncovered. The food temperatures are warm, probably not overdo it requisite 140° however they were warm and I don't feel like there was anything I'm sure they cut off the heaters before closing so that they can clean. I chose the pork bowl with brown rice. I got the medium salsa and some cheese and sour cream and grill onions and peppers. The salsa had a brief labor and it was a touch spicy but not really all that spicy, particularly for a medium. Obviously they cater to the gringo taste which is good because they're in Manderin. The meet was slightly dry but not too bad I ate it all. Brown rice was not dry and the peppers and onions were nicely cooked, it appears they had been cooked that day they were not soggy. I kind of wish they would salt their food but I realize that some people don't like salt. Employees were cleaning up around us but were not obtrusive about it. The total cost for six persons which was six bowls, five drinks and one bottle of water was $66. Not too bad but somewhat expensive for fast food. I came in a hour and a half before close and they were obviously understaffed which is understandable. Took 30 minutes to finally begin my order and by that time they had ran out of every meat option except steak, out of cheese, and completely out of chips. UGH...I don't want to see this chain disappear. I've always been a fan of Chipotle BUT went there yesterday with my daughter. It was 11:00 a.m., they JUST opened at 10:45 a.m. The place is FILTHY! I almost turned around but my daughter insisted we stay. As she was ordering, I'm looking around: disgusting grill, prep area, counters, WALLS!, glass at ordering station, soda machine, and about 4 tables. Don't even get me started on the bathroom. The girl that prepared my daughter's bowl and my tacos put the TEENIEST amount of meat in both, very skimpy meals. I assumed she was new. The manager was just walking around, looking confused. Just purchased a bowl with the brisket for over $25.00!! Ridiculous!! I came in behind a young man who was ordering the same type bowl with the brisket. I watched as the 'young lady' gave him a generous scoop of the brisket on his bowl. I placed my order for the same thing and she gave me half-spoon of the brisket. Not to mention I had to ask for additional rice. I asked her for more of the brisket which I was charged for. My friend was on the phone with me and heard the exchange. I didn't realize they charge for the queso when she asked me if I wanted some on my bowl. I responded yes. I get to the register only to find out my 'bowl' which did not have a substantial amount of anything was over $25. Needless to say, I am completely done with Chipotle and will take my business elsewhere. They are increasing prices and decreasing on portions. Done! Done! Done! I've only been disappointed at this location once. A few months back I arrived around 8:45pm and they were closed even though they're supposed to be open until 10:00pm. Other than that one time, we've been very happy with our experiences here. We always opt for the bowls as you get a more than ample sized portion of food. With some chips and salsa, you can probably count on two meals from the bowl so it usually provides me lunch for the next day. I go back and forth between the barbacoa and the carnitas. My wife always gets the chicken and we are consistently satisfied. The cilantro rice - brown or white - is a nice flavorful base for any menu item. I also go triple down on salsas - hot, tomatillo, and corn - throwing them all on makes for a flavor profile that works well for me. We typically hit up this location once or twice a month for quick dinner with busy schedules. Service is usually pretty good and fast. I do usually hit up Chili's a few doors down for their chips and salsa or TJ Flats on the way home for a Tijuana Trio. For less than $5 at either of those, it's a better deal - you just have to make an extra stop. read more

I ate at Chipotle before and ordered steak as my meat and it was tough and chewy. So we had not been back in quite a while. Today I was in the mood for a salad with meat and beans on it so went again. Now we have many restaurants to chose from so in my opinion, every meal should be a good one! I had read on the reviews the tortilla chips had been stale...ok I can live with that BUT the food itself should be top notch! My pork (should have been way more flavorful), black beans on a salad were just ok. When I got home I added more lettuce, red onions and jalapeños to flavor it up! I drained 1/4 cup of fluids from it too. I ordered a burrito, pork for my husband and he said it was good!? With no drink or chips it was +$17. I suggests the servers be instructed to tell the customer what they can add to their dish and if it cost extra to tell them before they add it on. I am sure it was fresh but it was just ok.... UPDATE: 2/8/18 When I eat at a establishment and the food or service is poor AND I have the option to let management know ; I will. This is what happened 3 months ago when I reviewed Chipotle and the pork salad bowl I got! Management wrote and apologized and sent me a card to try them again free! I kept the card and decided to retry today when I realized it had expired (so soon) so I went in showed the card and asked and they said "sure.. whatever you want" so you get points for that! I ordered a chicken salad bowl, black beans, salsa, cheese and sour cream! It was delicious! Had a nice spicy tang to it, not wet and I asked for more lettuce be put in the bowl! I go to this chipotle sometimes 2 times a week and order mostly the same item. I've spent probably on the $5k plus range at chipotles over the years. This time I got there, asked for double chicken, and got 5-6 pieces of chicken. I mentioned that that was not the norm for the money I'm spending- got told by the manager who acted like he didn't care what I had to say that that was a normal serving of chicken. If that was normal- why was it less than half the original serving for a "double order". Then they tried to charge me $6 extra for meat. When I said it wasn't right they insisted and charged me- and only after I saw the receipt and showed them did the manager come back up front looking upset that I, a customer was taking up his time. He walked up and said bluntly and with no affect "what's wrong" to me- when I told him he stopped talking to me- started addressing it with his staff, then coldly started instructing me on how to put my card in for a refund then walked away. This manager ("Florida" and an orange tattooed on his forearm) has always had a mediocre attitude at best. I hate that there was a line of people and he made me look like I was the problem while another one from his staff was staring at me like "how annoying". What a horrible customer service experience. I hate going in to order my food with this staff- the manager has this attitude even after I complimented him on his cool tattoo. The only reason I don't order my burrito online is because they always mess it up if I don't go in. I'd like the franchise owner or a leader to email me back regarding this experience. This place used to be on their game. Now ypu walk in there is food particles all over the counter, and on the walls and all over the floors. Cleanliness is a huge issue with this location. Employees are slow as can be. And I noticed something very interesting. I was not masked and neither was my son. The people ahead of me were masked, and the people behind me were masked. They were treated much more nice than my son and I were. Also, the portions for my son and I were a THIRD of the portions for the masked people. I've never had such a thin burrito from a chipotle - usually they are so fat you can barely contain the inside ingredients. So I sat indoors near the counter for a little bit and watched how they handled the large lunch crowd that had come in behind us. Sure enough, masked people had bulging portions and huge burritos, and people not masked were barely given any food. When they were making the food for a person wearing a mask, they were over-generous with the portions of ingredients given. For instance, when adding meat or cheese, the meat given was TONS of meat, and the cheese given was a giant handful of cheese. But when it was for a person not wearing a mask, the meat given was as little as possible without it being totally obnoxious, and the amount of cheese given was just enough to fit into the tips of their fingers, and even then some of that little bit of cheese was put back. And it was clear all the employees were in on this prejudicial treatment, as all gave masked people more food and then all acted like grinches with people not masked. I'm also not sure if this had anything to do with it, but the first woman I encountered was fat, real fat, like orca fat, and when she served the people in front of me, she used both hands. Same with the people behind me. Remember, both of those parties had masks on. When she served my son and I, she put her left hand and arm as far behind her back as she could, and only used one hand to prep our food. And she handled all non-mask people the same way - with the left hand pinned as far behind her back as she could position it. But with masked people she would bring the arm out and use both hands. I think the hand and arm behind her back was a signal for the other dummies working there that this customer was to only get half of a usual portion and to treat them like crap. I bet some readers will be okay with this. Those readers are clowns. Just change 'masked/not masked' for 'any skin color you choose/any skin color you choose,' where one skin color is given tons of food and the other skin color is cheated. Let me just start of by saying that i love Chipotle. This place gets 5 stars because they have good, fresh food and great customer service. I walked in one night, literally 3 minutes prior to closing and was going to get a burrito. However they didnt have enough rice to make it the way i wanted so i said no thank and said it was okay and right as i was going to leave the manager runs up to me and says he is really sorry that they didnt have what i wanted and he gives me a card for a free burrito next time. I was like woohoo!!!! Now on my recent trip their they were just as awesome as ever. They packed my burrito with all the cilantro lime rice i wanted and doubled up my tortilla like i wanted. If you havent tried chipotle, its worth the try. their prices might be a bit on the pricey side but i always walk out with a burrito the size of both my fists. read more

Best chain restaurant. The guacamole rivals any restaurant. Even with a long line it's always fast. The employees are much nicer than at other stores and they listen to what you want! This place has the best mexican bowls! The setup is like a lunch line order style. You can dine in and relax but you probably won't stay too long because the seats aren't very comfortable. They do serve beer but this is more of eat and go restaurant. I wouldn't choose this spot to have a girls night and spend hours . It's just not that type of place. The food itself is amazing. I would have given it 5 stars but the last 2 times I went they were skimpy on the meat. It really just depends on which chipotle you go too . I've had some people load it up but the mandarin one...
