I came here at noon for my lunch break and there was literally no line! That's a Chipotle first for me. The staff was friendly and efficient. And the food standard was up to par with other locations. I've heard lots of reviews talking about small portion sizes... if you ask nicely they will always give you more! It goes both ways people! I've heard customers complaining about having too much of this and not enough that, well they are told to give less because it's easier to add more than take some out or start over. So I urge you to just communicate with the employees in a respectful manner and they will produce the product you'd like. And don't forget, guac cost extra. read more

What a joke, I ordered me and my wife quesadilla. When we got our dinner it was paper thin. There was no steak on mine. And my wife got chicken, with a few small pieces. Also our sides where rice and beans. A few rice pieces and three beans. Screw this place, I will never give them another penny. read more

Portions are hit and miss. Ordering through the app definitely makes portion size much smaller. I've ordered inside and watched them make it and I've gotten really decent sizes, enough to eat in two sittings. But I've ordered through the app and the same meal didn't make me full. I love that you can go to their website and customize your order with the nutrition calculator. It gives you a really good idea of the quality in the calories. I like that you can see what they are putting in the dish step by step, that way there are no surprises. I'm a veggie lover and the ingredients are always bright & fresh. I have been a few times since they opened. I usually go right before or after the regular 12:00 - 1:00 lunch hour and it works for me. The staff is always hustling and manage to keep their smile on. Extra props for the Chipotle Tabasco sauce at the silverware/drink bar. I always go overboard on that stuff (because I like it). read more

The drenched my tacos in disgusting cold guacamole which I didn't want they put 2 beans in each taco all the shells are cracked and they are cold and I ordered the corn salsa and they have like three pieces of corn theseguys are total jerks! After eating at this Chipotle many times I am always amazed at how they find a way to ruin the experience. More often than not, the quality or portion of food just is not right. The service is ridiculously slow and borderline hating what they do. Tonight's experience has required the I update my review. In the $40 of food that we purchased tonight we had issues with burned/charcoal vegetables and guac that ended up sliding off the food on to the table. Not too long ago I had a burrito bowl that had a 1/2 of water in the bottom. While the Chipotle menu is the same everywhere, the quality of the preparation of the items cooked locally changes greatly. What did I learn today? A new spot near my grandparents' house and where I used to ride my bike in the dirt before anything was ever built here. The parking lot is small and watch out for the folks driving crazy to get in the drive-thru line for some Starbucks. The set up is like any Chipotle and it was spotless. I was happy to find that the line wasn't super long at 1 pm on a weekday. Since they're rather new they were kind of having a challenging time with a big catering order so they weren't focusing on what I was telling them that I wanted. I got a burrito and a burrito bowl last night. I was shocked and how small the portions were. I should have said something about it at the time but didn't. I heard someone else complain about the portions as well. Two of the food trays (meat and cheese) were virtually empty when they 'scooped' up the portion for my order. I figured they certainly they would get more, but they didn't. The portions were pretty much all the same - about a level spoon full instead of a heaping spoon full. Except from the tray there were almost empty. Those were just of hint of something that had been stuck to the spoon. I've gotten lunch there before and the portions were what I would call normal. I guess the night manager is trying to get a bonus by skimping on portions. He or she won't if the service stays like this and customers stop coming. The two stars is for the portions size, and so so service. The quality was OK. If corprate is concerned about their overall image and reputation, they should look at the reviews here and do something. This is not a well managed outlet. read more

So glad Martinez has a Chipotle! Super convenient location but a bit crowded due to a small parking lot to be shared with Starbucks, Verizon Wireless and The Dollar Store. I tried this location today ordering a steak burrito. The meat was tough and grissly as well as being barely a spoonful of meat. Not sure what was worse... having tough meat or being shortchanged on the meat. I would never come back to this location but sadly I am finding that even though the prices of Chipotle burritos keep going up, the portion size keeps getting smaller. I watched the server tap the shallow spoon against the edge of the steam tray and see half the meat fall back into the steam tray. I asked for more and was told I could pay for a double portion. 09/24/15:I just wanted to say that I spoke with Chipotle customer service and she apologized for what happened and sent me 3 free gift cards. She said she was going to contact the location and discuss the training issue they have. She assured me that i should not have a problem with my original gift cards and the ones she just sent me. I appreciated the gift cards. The worse customer service. The employees have no clue on how to help you. Had a problem with my gift card and it says on the gift card to go into the restaurant. The guy just looked lost. He asked the manager for help and she too said they don't know what to do about the gift card. She said she was a manager but said maybe someone else could help me on Mon. Mehhhh. I was out in the Martinez area for an appointment and figured that since the San Rafael Chipotle sucks soooo much I'd get my fix out here.... unfortunately my experience was not as good as I'd hoped. 1) The food was overly salty somehow. I got a sofritas and fajita veggie burrito but I felt like half the flavor was gone and tasted a lot of salt. 2) The brown rice was only halfway cooked which ruined the soft rice texture component of the burrito with every bite. 3) There were literally no green bell peppers in the fajita veggies but I was the very first person to order so what's up with that? 4) The guy who made my burrito kept adding the ingredients in different directions so when I ate my burrito I would get inconsistent flavors like a ton of hot sauce but no guacamole or beans, etc. 5) The chips were stale and not warm but again, I was the FIRST person in there when they opened.... 6) But what IRRITATED ME THE MOST was that I said a heartfelt "hi!", "how are you?", and at least 6 "thank you"s with a smile to the guy making my food and he barely looked at me, no smile, no words, not a hint of friendliness. He was Asian and looked about 18 years old maybe so maybe he hasn't had much time in the industry but you need to work on your customer service! I will say the portion size was good. He actually had to re-wrap my burrito because it wouldn't roll up so that was a good sign. And it looked clean and lots of seating. But for all the other reasons I won't be back. PS- the man who unlocked the door to open up was friendly and so was the female cashier so this is nothing against them. read more

I like Chipotle but not this location. Parking is scarce, the servers (I wanna give benefit of the doubt ) but are not gracious with servings. I usually just want lettuce, salsa and chicken in my burrito or my salad bowl, that usually in the end of making it, the portion is SO small. Especially for what you pay for. Many of the less stellar reviews here are correct and I'll leave it at that. Chipotle in Pleasant Hill is way better & cleaner (both food counter & tables and chairs) and the food looks fresher. Plus it Tastes better too. So if you want Chipotle skip this location and for an extra 5 or so minutes of a drive to Pleasant Hill Chipotle, it will be worth it. read more

So, while a burrito bowl is less than $9, a tortilla (on the menu for $0.25) and a handful of cheese is...$10.45? Asked why it wasn't the price on the menu and they said it was the kids menu price. Guac was turning brown and the chips that used to have the magic salt and lime are bland and unseasoned. Done with this place. Taco Bell is half a block away. It can be hir or miss. Sometimes it's too salty and they don't give enough of the extras you pay for. Guac is expensive and they usually give you a small dallop! Most of the employees are pretty nice. The younger, I think supervisor, is not nice or helpful in anyway. He's never pleasant. We live just a mile and a half away from this Chipotle, and we go here about once a week. The food always tastes great and it's healthier than some other options in the area when we need something fast. I will admit I've had some spotty not great service, but more often than not, we've had good service. Everyone has off days, and since I work in the service industry, I tend to be a little less harsh and more patient than others. I get the same thing every single time: burrito bowl with white rice, black beans, chicken, fajita veggies, double mild salsa and lots of lettuce. Depending on who's working, I get a different amount of rice and chicken, which isn't great, but they always put more in the bowl when I ask. And they always seem to be low or out of the fajita veggies. During one visit, they ran out of steak for my fiancee's burrito and they asked me to wait while it cooked. Since I wasn't in a big hurry, I didn't mind. They didn't even charge me for the burrito when I got to the register! The staff is also patient with my kid when she orders, 7 year olds can be picky. The restaurant is always clean, well-stocked, the music is good and I always find a table. read more

I decided to eat in this times. Despite not having anyone at any of the tables and the shop not busy, the tables were ALL NOT CLEAN! I had to clean it first before I could unpack my food to eat. I'm not a hateful person, usually keep things to myself, but I literally only downloaded this app to say how the chipotle next to Starbucks, dollar tree, Jamba Juice, Panda Express and whatever else that's over in that little area (Martinez) that chipotle gives you way less than what you should be paying for. I got the smallest amount of chicken I'd ever seen, I had to ask the guy to keep putting more on there I asked him like 3 times to even get anywhere near the amount I would have liked. Not to mention he wouldn't even look at me or my friends while ordering, not once. As well as the sour cream and guacamole I asked for. I had to ask for more because he didn't even fill it half way. When I did order, it seemed like the cashier might have went on break or some place, and we waited (but not too long) for her to return. They let me try the carne asada after I asked if it was worth trying--which was super nice. The bathrooms are immaculate, and I was super impressed by that. They seem super nice here both times I have came, and I probably don't need to explain the food quality because we probably all know what Chipotle tastes like :) the interior seems spacious too! read more

Let me start off by saying chipotle is one of my favorite places to eat. This location is alright most of the time, but last week my coworkers and I showed up about 40 minutes before closing. They gave us these pathetic portions and refused to get the corn salsa because "it wouldn''t be worth it for one customer" according to weird beta white dorky kid working the counter. My go-to lunch place. Food is always good, whether 3 tacos or the burrito bowl, most of the time I order chicken but the steak is really good. Good condiments and the salsa is always fresh. I see alot of people order the burritos but they are so filling that I want to take a nap on my keyboard after lunch. I like the green jalapeno Tabasco sauce. It is interesting to see the policemen and woman come in for lunch, especially the women carrying their Glock 9mm on their side holsters. read more

Has anyone noticed that all Chipotles have downsized their servings? Not to mention they used to give you heaping bowls and now you have to ask for them To give you a regular serving size of food. They don't have a problem doing it but you shouldn't have to ask for Them to put adequate amounts of produce or rice ! And when your items are getting low you need to make more! Instead every time you go in these kids are being stingy with portions and not knowing when they need to replenish their food. Last 2 times we were here our chips have been stale and their guacamole tasted like their avocados were too ripe and souring Used to like coming and now I don't recommend it to anyone . They need to have set portion amounts labeled at every store not just what the person serving feels like putting in. I like my Chipotle. Came here on a whim with my hun to grab something fast to eat while running some errands in Martinez. Nothing special about this location other than its convenient. It's located very close to the Home Depot and just next door to a Starbucks. The place appeared to be in decent condition minus a dirty table. They use gloves while making the food which is always a plus in my book. If I do go to Chipolte, I always get their burrito bowl. Which is what I got again this time. Grilled chicken, black beans ( no rice), guacamole and pico de guyo. My hun got a burrito with most of the fixens. The one thing I and others don't get about Chipotle is there use of white rice...don't get it but that's about it. Everything else seems to be fresh and usually flavorful. Service was also pleasant and friendly. Definitely won't one of my go-to places, though if I happen to be nearby it will work. read more
