Mmy husband and I love their food. However, after the price increases in July, did you know that they CUT BACK on the portions that go in, specifically the meat. A worker told me, they have been given specific instructions on how much to give us, it used to be fairly generous. Just like Dreyers ice cream did a few years back. Made containers smaller, did not lower price. In fact, it went up. This is a new corporate tactic for them to make more money! Just in the last few years. We pay more, get less and they hope we won't notice or realize. It doubles the price increase. Who suffers, us! Folks, it DID NOT used to be like this. This is big corporate greed in action. Complain! I guarantee you they do not raise the poor workers pay. No one is getting raises anywhere, just more work to do. But the corporate big wigs DO get raises, larger mansions, jewelry and more fancy cars. I hope you young people will fight corporate greed. 4 Stars being that I LOVE Chipotle. Cannot go wrong with a burrito when I get my moneys worth. Minus 1 star at this location because one of the servers here was so stingy with the meat (ordered steak). I know how much a serving is, according to the Chipotle website, a serving for meat is 4oz, and I know how much 4oz in meat is, I weigh my food daily (really into fitness). I also asked for 'extra' rice/sauce/sour cream/cheese/etc and the server would somewhat give me a vibe after asking for more; the first scoop of rice was not even a heaping spoon full, and the second scoop was about half of spoon. I feel like I am being jipped have the time on the meat! Parking sucks sometimes (busy hours), and this is the closest Chipotle in the Martinez area, so you are bound to run into some of the trashy locals around (also near Wal-Mart). Glad this opened up closer, as I do not have to go to Pleasant Hill to get my burrito fix. read more

Let me start off by saying chipotle is one of my favorite places to eat. This location is alright most of the time, but last week my coworkers and I showed up about 40 minutes before closing. They gave us these pathetic portions and refused to get the corn salsa because "it wouldn''t be worth it for one customer" according to weird beta white dorky kid working the counter. Has anyone noticed that all Chipotles have downsized their servings? Not to mention they used to give you heaping bowls and now you have to ask for them To give you a regular serving size of food. They don't have a problem doing it but you shouldn't have to ask for Them to put adequate amounts of produce or rice ! And when your items are getting low you need to make more! Instead every time you go in these kids are being stingy with portions and not knowing when they need to replenish their food. Last 2 times we were here our chips have been stale and their guacamole tasted like their avocados were too ripe and souring Used to like coming and now I don't recommend it to anyone . Good food but this location barely gave me any shredded cheese and when I asked for more they said they will have to charge me 1.50 per additional cup. I've been going to Chipotle for over 10 years and never got charged extra for regular cheese (not queso). I've been to this particular location many times (last month most recently) and never got charged for extra cheese. When I ask when did you start charging for extra cheese she says it's always been like that. Well this is news to me so I went online to fact check and turns out there is no charge for extra cheese so what gives? I am so glad there is a chipotle near where I live! I have ways been a big fan of this place because their burritos are awesome! This is located in a tiny shopping center next to Walmart. The center has a dollar tree, Verizon wireless , and Starbucks. Random set of stores but it works! Anyway, the place is ways clean , having walked into a chiptole and it's not clean. Lines are long during major times but they quickly down size. Sometimes they will get your wrong if they are rushing or it's too loud, so be on the look out for that! Over all nice little sitting area , nice indoor sitting area, very modern with usually nice music playing & of course yummy food! Can't really go wrong - check this place out ! read more

They are getting one star because they did not have zero stars! It is NO SURPRISE to see such low ratings. I really love Chipotle, however, this location is AWFUL! We have had 3 incidents at this location and we have only been to this location 4 times. I hope management reads these reviews. A few weeks ago we ordered 6 items 2 of which were quesadillas and when we got home they were not in the bag. We had to call and go back and get them (we live far) and we were told sorry we won't charge you however my husband showed them the receipt and said Thank but you already did charge me. (nothing said) Today I walk in and order a special burrito bowl (one of the only things whole 30 approved) I usually go to the pleasant Hill location because I work very close to it. I asked for no rice no beans Carnita's only - The carnitas are supposed to be 4oz of meat. This smart _ _ _ Kid puts about 2 oz of meat in the container & it seriously looked like less than 2 fork bites full. I said excuse me may I please have double meat and the kid adds maybe 1 more ounce of meat. I said excuse me that is not double meat I come here all the time and the kid argues with me telling me I am wrong then looks at a girl behind him and says what do I do this is double meat and she wants more. I said again I come here all the time that is not double meat. Seriously I wish I had a picture of what he was trying to give me. I can buy an 8 oz steak at outback for less than what I pay for this and the kid is going to argue with me? Please train your people at this location. I NEVER have this problem in Pleasant Hill. 1. The parking lot is really small. 2. The line moves slower than any other chipotles, because the staff is unable to work as a team and none of them know how to multi-task. 3. Speaking of unable to multitask, Why do they ask me what kind of rice and beans I want, while pressing my tortilla, if 100% of the time when they do that, they place the tortilla on the foil and then look up and say, "did you say Brown Rice and Black beans?" No, no I didnt. 4. When I've tried to skip the line and do an online order, it always ends up being just as difficult as making it through the gauntlet. 5. I think another reason the line moves slow compared to other chipotles, is because they only have 1 tortilla press. Most of them I think have 2 tortilla presses, so the initial worker can put more product out faster. 6. A few times I've bitten into like, rock hard "somethings" in the chicken. Probably a nerve or a bone piece or something. That being said theres a few people that work there that seem to be on top of things, and the food generally comes out like a clone of every other burrito I've had at chipotle. Cool. read more

Very disappointed when I made a DoorDash order, I ordered a burrito bowl and half of the bowl was filled with what I asked and the other half was completely empty. I understand that they may have ran out of one item or two but to be short on almost everything to the point where half the bowl is empty is aggravating because I payed for a filled bowl. I have been to this location twice, and each time the experience was less than memorable. From the 40 degree below zero Guacamole that will give you a toothache once bitten into, to the bland Pico De Gallo and the extremely under-seasoned chicken. This has to be one of the WORST locations I have ever been to! I am an extremely polite person when it comes to dealing with those in Customer Service positions, because I've been in their shoes. But, this food was SO bad that I wanted to go back in and toss my burrito at the preparers face. You have one job to do, which is make my food the exact way I told you, since I'm paying an arm and a leg for it. Clearly they couldn't even do that right! Being that I am pregnant... Again... *lol*... I am super serious about my Chipotle! I was very disappointed because this was the second time they screwed up my food. I guess I assumed that they would be better the second time around, boy was I wrong! We live in Vacaville, but travel to Concord and Pleasant Hill frequently. We usually go to the Pleasant Hill Chipotle location because they're absolutely awesome!!! Only problem is because of their location they are always super busy. This chipotle seriously let us down tonight. I ordered online and they messed up the most important meal...the one for my 2.5 year old. Kids meal quesadilla had no cheese...it was just 2 tortillas...and they didn't pack the kids chips as well as the apple juice. Granted, my husband could have checked the bag to make sure everything was included, but he shouldn't have to. My kid freaked out because she picked each part of her meal, and when dad got back and she was hungry it was tough to explain why our meals were complete but hers wasn't. I'm bummed. Would give 4 stars but I ordered online to have my lunch be ready by 10:45am but when I got there the signs said it opens at 11. They opened their doors at 10:50ish but my food wasn't ready yet. Ended up wasting the majority of my lunch waiting for them to finish my online order. The website said food will be ready by 10:45am. Not sure why the inconsistency with times. Probably won't use the online food ordering service again. Would have been faster just going there when they opened and ordering in person. read more

I've been to this Chipotle a couple of times when I've been craving Chipotle on my way to work. This location is on Arnold Drive in Martinez - parking is relatively easy - there's a private lot associated with the shopping center that Chipotle is located in. There are actually a couple of spots designated for Chipotle customers! This Chipotle location is your average Chipotle - they offer the same menu items. The service is average. COVID19!! Avoid coming here if you are concerned with COVID19. I popped in becuz I was starving and luckily it was pretty empty there were about 3 or 4 ppl eating inside... not all the employees were wearing gloves. The kid cleaning the lobby didn't wipe down any of the tables at all! I watched ppl leave and he went behind them to scoot in their chairs and flick the left over food off the table onto the floor with his bare hands not 1 time did I see any towel or disinfectant spray! So disgusted especially with the coronavirus pandemic I would expect restaurants to take necessary precautions. Horrible! This Chipotle has the worst workers I seen. It took about 20 minutes to order a Bowl with only 2 people in line. The people in front of me were getting angry. Most of the staff was in the back chilling and the 2 that were in the front didn't want to work because "Why should they work if other workers are chilling in the back?" The girl barely put any chicken in my bowl (half scoop), I asked for double meat so she put another half scoop. So basically I had to pay double price for a regular scoop of chicken. On top of all this, They didn't close the lid of the bowl and guess what; all the hot sauce dripped out of the bowl and on my front seat. I have been a big Chipotle fan since I can remember.
