This location of Chipotle is absolutely horrible. We order our bowls with guacamole. There were two whole halves of avocado that were rock hard and rotten. They were jet black. Stringy absolutely disgusting. We didn't have time to go back and return them so we just ended up throwing our food away. Please higher better employees because they obviously do not care enough to realize the gigantic chunks of rotten avocado they are using. Go to the one in Monroe, or the one downtown where they know how to season food appropriately... Long wait times too, and staff was very flustered and unable to keep meats/queso/fajitas/guacamole stocked. They were fighting amongst themselves too to air their frustrations. Tried this location for the first time today. My husband and I asked for the steak burrito bowl. The steak was so salty, we couldn't even eat it! We told the employee, and she said "sorry". Chipotle in Mathew's I thought the Burger King in Mint Hill was bad but you take the cake. This store was so dirty it made me want to look at their safety rating to ensure it was an F. I especially loved that you had no chicken, no lettuce, no pico, and no sour cream. My favorite part was when I ordered chips and queso and when you realized there was no queso we engaged in a long stare wondering who would be the first to blink. Simply embarrassing. I don't understand how this store steady has customers. Do yourself a favor and go to literally any other location 25+ minutes away you will thank me later. Every time I order pick up it takes at least 35-1hr past the pick up time before it's ready. The other reviews aren't being dramatic. They will cancel your order if they're out of the meat you requested without telling you or refunding until you ask how much longer then they'll play dumb. They're constantly out of the simplest ingredients when any other store has all in surplus. And if you order in store it takes a bit as well. Go to Qdoba or a different location don't even waste your time. read more

Coming from a history of visiting various Chipotle locations, this location is such a disappointment. I understand that a bunch of different places are having supply chain issues, but this location could deal with them a little better. For one, no guac. It happens, not a huge deal ( although it is something I always get and maybe this is why the food tasted bland). Second thing, ran out of regular sized drink cups; when I said that's fine, I will pay for the regular size, just give me what you have, they replied that they can't do that (it's actually really easy, you just hand it to me) and proceeded to charge me for a large as though I am at fault becaI didn't order enough cups in time. I have been to this chipotle many times in the past and haven't had any issues until today. I did an online order for pickup, and when I walked inside the place was absolutely filthy. Trash everywhere, dirty tables, chairs moved everywhere, it was a mess. Not only to mention the poor workers, there was a huge line with only 2 people working the whole line. When I got home to eat my chipotle I was extremely disappointed. I got two bowls, one of them they messed up completely. They put very little chicken, and added wrong toppings I didn't ask to put in it. The other bowl barley had any toppings thrown on it. Seemed very careless when making them. I understand only having two workers is stressful, but today was just disappointing. I hope this issue gets solved. read more

This location has always struggled with running out of common menu items long before Covid. Their service has been subpar as well. This evening at 7:30 was the worst customer service experience ever at this location. The girl taking orders clearly hates her job, despises customers, and most definitely did not want to be there. No name tag so I have no idea what her name is but she was beyond rude to everyone, including her coworkers. Our food sat in the counter waiting for the next employee to add toppings for over five minutes. The chicken was cold on top of being full of gristle and fat. The lettuce was rotten and in whole leaves on a salad. The whole place was filthy, the food prep area was nasty, the toppings counter was covered in food and they continued to drag our bowls through the mess. The employees are barely audible on purpose and the music is so loud it's impossible to hear the employees muttering. There was no one over 20 to complain to and clearly no one has trained these employees in any type of customer service. I get that this is a tough time for this industry but other restaurants seem to at least have courteous employees. Other Chipotle locations are much better and honestly we've never experienced poor service or bad food at any them but this one and it's been this way at least five years. read more

This chipotle was hands down the worst chipotle I have ever been to. I am in town for a national soccer tournament and a few of my teammates and I wanted some chipotle after we finished playing. We got to the chipotle and it took us almost 15 mins to get our food. There was only two people in front of us when we got there and there was only two workers working. The workers had no urgency to attend to the patrons and left us standing in line wondering if we were ever going to be helped. The food was cold and had been sitting out for a while. Chicken was bad, rice was hard, and the tomatoes had a funny taste to them. I understand that this chipotle was short staffed but that's something the manager needs to figure out asap. Patrons are coming to chipotle wanting hot fresh food, and not meeting the standard will cause patrons to be upset...like me. I ordered ahead and waited for 15 minutes after my pickup time. The food wasn't very good either.

When we arrived it seemed pretty normal around 7pm to have a longer dinner line so no problem there. As I looked around I saw about 12 customers waiting for their online order! They looked pretty upset too. We went through the line and then my son's bowl kept sitting there bc the online order person joined the regular order line. Then several of the soda options were "out", the sweet tea was empty, there were no sugar/substitute sugar packets for the unsweetened tea, and the special lemonade/tea juices were empty, but yet still trying to mix what was supposed to be in it. We finally sat down amongst dirty tables and watched the same people waiting for their online orders. I ordered a bowl with a small serving of brown rice and it was chewy and half raw. My son's chicken had fatty pieces in it which grossed us all out. When we left, some of the same people that were waiting when we arrived, just received their order. People were all complaining when they left too. It was very poorly managed and things were a mess. No one working there had any type of direction at all. We were all disappointed and will not be returning to this location anytime soon. Very unfortunate. read more

I'm a fair - more than patient human being - but this place took me over the edge. I ordered to go - big mistake - my pick up time was 12:30 - it is currently 1:05 as I type this. Other people have been here longer than me which is just unreal. I've gone up to them multiple times to ask and am getting no real service in return. Great chain - bad location. If I could give a negative score that would be more fitting. The food I ordered was completely wrong and I paid extra for items like guac and queso just for it to be missing from the bowl. ABSOLUTELY WASTED MY MONEY!!! The only thing this location is good at is getting orders wrong and being disgusting. This is exactly why I drive 25 minutes out of the way to the Waverly location. I stopped in there earlier today while staff disappeared into back room out of no where with no explanation. Stood there for 15 minutes had one kid running around doing everything! My order was half mad and the whole entire staff was in the back! One associate said someone stepped over the line of the register and it's a safety hazard so they all had to go to the back of the restaurant. Then another one came back out and said someone wanted to "kill them"....? Not sure what that's supposed to mean but they'd just leave all their customers out to die if that was the case and say nothing and call no cops? Let first say that I am a HUGE fan of Chipotle! However, this location NEVER has steak ready to go. When I ask them why they either say they hardly ever sell steak. WELL HELLO!!! You can't sell what you don'e stock!!! You ALWAYS have 10 lbs of Chicken and few dried up old morsels of steak. What do you think the customer will choose? You create your own destiny by under-stocking Steak. You force customers to say,"Well, I'd like the steak, but that stuff looks like it's been sitting around for a while. I feel that in a world of negativity the positive review caries the most weight. That said, I rarely take the time to write a negative review but in this instance it was well deserved. I am a Chipotle enthusiast, and can pride myself on my understanding of Chipotle's attention to quality and overall consistency and this particular location fell short. Despite many reviews eluding to this, I failed to drive the extra 3 miles to a location with better reviews. Lesson learned. My tomato (Mild) salsa was more of a mush, Carnitas were dry and overly salted, and portion size was sparse. My bowl was literally half empty, and I got the stink eye when I asked for "a little more rice". I was also charged for double meat when the portion wasn't even that of a normal bowl at any other location! I was very disappointed. To top it off they had no lemons or smoked Tabasco, and were unapologetic when I asked about it. I'm not sure if this is a result of poor management, lack of training, or tight margins at this location, but my meal as a whole was very underwhelming, and that has meaning coming from someone who drives an hour each way just to pick up Chipotle. read more

This location really is below the standard that chipotle is known for. This place frequently is out of chicken steak etc at random times. Poor management. Tonight they were out of brown rice and chicken. I didn't care but several customers did. My burrito was ok, but the steak was dry and a bit tough. It's hard for me to differentiate Chipotle from Salsarita's a lot of times. They are tasty, yes. Being all organic, PETA approved, etc etc is not the biggest concern for me, but that's nice, too. I just have a hard time with this Southwestern cuisine - I'd rather have Mexican, and Chipotle doesn't seem to change my mind. I do like the food, though. And the staff here is super friendly. It can be a little loud for me, especially with the music up. And their corner of the parking lot is not my favorite navigational experience. However their service is kinda slow,and the food seems to be running out when I was ordering(meat and veggies containers look almost empty.) Went here for lunch today. It wasn't stellar and it wasn't poor. Just a "meh" kind of experience, so to speak. The lines weren't that long, so I guess I beat the lunch rush. The servers weren't that generous with the food, barely got any steak on my bowl at all. The steak was also over spiced. Lucky for me I like spicy foods, but for someone who is sensitive to spicy food this might not be such a good. YUM. Seriously. YUM!!!! Everything is delicious. The chicken is spicy- - just the way I like it. (A little too much for my kiddos so they stick to other choices.) Staff is usually wonderful (I have had the occasional experience with a less-than-fabulous staff member - but, I figure, we are all human). The food is delicious and made right in front of you. I read previous reviews and in my experience, when any one item is on the verge of running out, the server is quick to request more from the kitchen staff (who have always been busy at their station). I've never had to wait for more than a few seconds for any item to be replenished. The addition of a kid's menu to Chipotle is the best idea since sliced bread. My kids, who would never dream of eating beans of any type, readily eat them when ordering the "taco kit" - it's 2 tortillas (soft or crunchy) + ANY 3 items... we usually get pinto beans, cheese and their AWESOME guacamole + drink + tiny bag of chips. Kids are happy, parents are happy.. WIN WIN! This location has offered margaritas for awhile now on their menu but in reality is still waiting for liquor license to be processed. So they are not actually available yet. The indoor and outdoor dining areas as well as the restrooms have always been clean. Highest rating for Chipotle on every point! read more

This place is consistently horrible. I've tried to give them so many chances and I am disappointed every single time. I mobile order 15-20 minutes in advance before getting to the store and am always there after the time it is supposed to be ready yet I still always wait at LEAST 10 minutes for my order every single time. The last time I went they said they couldn't find my order then proceeded to find it where their stickers print out from and had not even started on it. I then saw the worker making my order which came with three sides (black beans, roasted chili corn salsa, cilantro lime rice) I saw her put the roasted chili corn salsa then spinach and tomatoes? She then asked another girl what the sides were supposed to be and she told her the correct ones yet she still proceeded to take just the spinach out leave the rest and package it up without the black beans and rice I had ordered. I was watching the whole time then they hand me my "finished" order even forgetting the large chips and queso I ordered. It is so frustrating how all of the employees don't care about their job as if they are just getting paid to be lazy. Seems like this store has absolutely no management or they are just horrible. Many other stores like this too which makes me question chipotle as a whole. Corporate should really find better management for their stores because it is really going downhill. read more

Just left this chipotle and the front guy had a terrible memory asked 5 times which ingredient I asked for each time and then quickly forgot! Well it was kind of amusing...reminded me of Drew Barrymore in 50 first dates where she lost her memory each night.....moving on... They were out of almost everything... I'm patient but when they took out the silver pan and replaced it and all the gunk from the bottom of it dripped in my burrito I had to make a citizen's arrest All the other employees looked disheveled and tired! In their defense it is sooo damn sticky and humid here but it would be good to appear like you at least took a shower at some point.... Needless to say, I will NEVER come to this chipotle again! DO NOT GO -- DO NOT GO!! My daughter ordered a chicken burrito bowl, became VERY sick over the days and I took her to see her doctor because she was in tears from the pain. They ran a lot of tests and it came back POSITIVE for ECOLI !!!!! The EColi she has was from the meat. We let the store manager know and he was very flippant with his response, which is shocking knowing that his store was at fault for diseased meat. So, I had to contact Chipotle Corporate to get assistance with this situation. We should all learn by now with all of the food problems/health issues that have happened at Chipotle over the years!!
