Nothing against the food, just the terrible staff here. I swear the people who works here are idiots. I literally have to repeat my order 3 times before they actually got it. On top of that I only ordered 3 bowls but they charged me for 4! REALLY? CAN YOU NOT COUNT? They returned my money of course but they acted like it was nothing. The cashier didn't even apologized for her mistake. The entire staff seemed miserable! No one smiled, there was no welcome. Just terrible customer service in general. This is the worst chipotle I've been too. My boyfriend and I love chipotle, we eat there's pretty often. We have been to this one 5 or 6 times and every time it's been a not good experience. We wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt but this last time we went around 3:30pm, midday, and this rude lady toldf me it'd be 30 minutes for hard shell tacos becauyse they turned the fryers off. This place recently opened so I don't know if things will improve. Hopefully they will. I got the steak burrito and well, the steak tasted pretty fatty. The food itself was not hot, which is the main reason I'm giving it 2 stars. The tortilla was not hot either. And it seemed as though there was much more tortilla than burrito filling such that I feel like I had tortilla for lunch. Customer service is good here. I always ask for more rice which makes my burrito hard to wrap but they do a good job. Lines are usually nonexistent or very short. It's in the same plaza as trader joes, panera, chilis, etc. easy parking since the lot is so big. Quality of food is pretty much the same as any other chipotle. Will be back again! read more

READ ME READ ME!!! Fresh food lovers, we still got some hygiene problems. Those gloved hands touch all kinds of stuff, just as ungloved hands would. So get a bowl, no lettuce or cheese or anything else touched by those gloves. Here's the problem: Is the tortilla packaging hygienic? Nope. And those gloved hands tore open the package and took out your tortilla. Are the spoon handles and tongs germ free? Nope. And those gloves touched them and then finger scooped your cheese. Is that prep-board germ free? Nope. And those gloved hands touched it then rolled your burrito. How about that nasty rag that wiped the prep-board then wiped the corn thermometer, which then went into the salsa. (I just considered puking.) Got a corn alergy? I don't, but you're rolling the dice. Don't forget the skin cells slowly shedding and drifting onto the prep board. That's a good visual. My treat. CHIPOTLE!! Read up my friends, please. I am such a stickler about cleanliness. I live in the neighborhood and my wife enjoys Chipotle, but just thinking about going to my local Chipotle in Monrovia makes me try to convince my wife to change her mind. Today was no exception, this is the worst chipotle ever when it comes to cleanliness. There's always food on the floor and I always find myself having to clean my own table. Food is great here. It doesn't taste any different from any other Chipotle I've been to. However, they don't give as much food here as other Chipotle's I've been to. The employees also don't really talk for you to hear them. The gentleman who ordered before me had trouble hearing and the employee didn't make an effort to help the poor man by increasing his volume or even using gestures. Gave two stars because this location is a hit or miss. At time the chips are too salty and stale. Chicken is over seasoned with salt as well. Beans are undercooked and sometimes the rice as well. When it's good it's good. However when it's bad ohh it bad and a waste of money. You call to give them a heads up and the response is very nonchalant. First time at this location and lucky for me the line went by quick. reading some of the reviews and people fail to realize that their prices are alittle higher cause the food is all natural.. No added chemicals aka they actually care what gets put into your body, if your going to complain then go back to burger king gosh. This location is very clean but the employees need to work on keeping their stations stocked and having someone at the register. This place is the worse when it's time to close. There is a girl who works there with red dyed hair and wears a butterfly necklace. She is so rude and gave lots of attitude. She said to her co-workers why are all these people coming in here just now. There was 30 minutes left and you guys are open until 10pm. The when I asked to use the bathroom she said no they are closed because I already cleaned them for the night. Seriously why would you close the bathroom 30 minutes before you close. This review is only in regards to this location. The only reason I ever come here for lunch is because I work nearby... and because every so often I crave my beloved chicken burrito bowl. I've been here two times, two times enough to know that the staff here is the worst. The first time I came I get my usual burrito bowl with chicken blah blah blah, and when it came to the guy that was serving the the meats, I asked for chicken. Noticing that a new batch of chicken had just been done, I'm expecting the new chicken because there were literally 6-7 full chunks of chicken and scraps in the current container. BUT NO. Seriously, the guy scrapes the shit (excuse my language) of whatever is left of chicken scraps into my bowl. I don't even bother to say a word because this employee had the audacity to serve that shit to me. I don't think the chicken or whatever the hell you serve gets docked from your paycheck. So I paid and left. The second time I came back it was a girl who helped me with the meats. Instead of getting scraps, she scooped a spoonful and shook the spoon like she was sprinkling my burrito bowl. And alas, the name of idiotic employees live on at this Chipotle. Like are you trying to say I'm fat? Or... What's your reasoning here. I'm annoyed so I go ahead and ask "can I have some more chicken please" after all I'm paying about $7+ for 6 pieces of chicken on a bed of half a scoop of brown rice. SHE ROLLS HER EYES. So she initiated me to return the favor and I rolled my eyes. She just slides my bowl over and glares. And does the same thing to the customer after me. (So the question is, were these employees trained to cheat every customer that walks in that door OR are they really concerned that the amount of food they supply will be docked from their check OR are they just assholes). It gets even better this time though, so after the meat fiasco, the girl who is serving the last of the bowl can take the award for being the homie. After what she witnessed she asked me what I wanted on my bowl... right when it came to the lettuce she throws on 1/3 of any amount I've ever gotten at Chipotle. ARE YOU SERIOUS?! So I went ahead and asked if they are short on lettuce of their paychecks will be affected by the amount of food they serve. Her reaction was priceless. And that was all I needed to get the hell out of that place. So no, I will not be returning to this location ever again. It's unfortunate that the employees suck here and that not only I, but several of the employees in my office building feel the same and have never returned. Do I recommend? HELL NO. So this is my second time at the Monrovia location. The first time I got the burrito bowl and it was horrible, nothing like the quality of their Pasadena location. So I said never again, but I was given chipotle gift cards recently, and I figured that if I got their hard shelled tacos, they would be pretty hard to mess up. So we got there at 4:30 on a Saturday, and they let us know that they are out of hard shells! Really? They only have like 5 menu choices and they are sold out of one at 4:30PM? I was excited to see this place was finally open after watching it under construction for the past few months, so I decided to give it a try for lunch today. Parking was a nightmare, with Panera, Smashburger and Chili's right next door, the parking lot just isn't big enough. Be prepared to circle around forever or park behind Chili's. Don't come here if you're in a hurry! This was by far the slowest Chipotle I have ever been to. It took 20 minutes for them to serve the 6 people ahead of me. The staff looked very confused and it was obvious they were new on the job because no one seemed to know what to do. Orders were getting mixed up going down the assembly line and everyone (customers and staff) looked annoyed. Food tasted the same as any other Chipotle, although the portions are smaller. Hopefully they will work out the kinks in the future and learn how to speed up. read more
