Went here for the 1st time at this location on Friday August 21st 2026 with my parents. If you haven't been to a chiptole before, they are a fast food mexican restaurant that sells burritos, tacos, bowls, and more! It is a build your own items and has meat options, veggie options, and more! We came here after ordering a couch from Rooms To Go, so we were nearby and in the area. We also had a gift card for this place to use. This chiptole is located by the entrance of the mall, and is nearby AspenDental. There was plenty of parking, and we parked. When we arrived, there was a line, but it moved rather quickly. I ordered a bowl with Soffritas, which is a plant based meat, and it had white rice, onions, lettuce and corn. Person preparing order was a little tough to hear, but got through it. My mom and also ordered similar items to mine. We paid via a gift card, and paid the remaining balance with a credit card. Restaurant has both outdoor and indoor seating, and is comfortable inside. We ate our food there and enjoyed it! Will definitely be back if we are in the area! read more

I was amazed to see that a manager's card was by the register....I would have sworn that location had no manager and just a bunch of teenagers running around trying to do their best. Saturday at 5pm and a single person makinging ALL of the walk up orders. Mind you, there was a red haired girl manning the register, mostly on her phone. There was no one needing to check out, but she just stood there offering ZERO assistance to the poor girl running her butt off. The garbage is constantly spilling over bc they dont empty them. How this is not a health concern is beyond me. This location has always been poorly staffed and managed, but today really highlights how piss-poor it's being ran. This store is understaffed. Last time we were here, we were told they didn't have any fajita vegetables because there was "nobody to cut them." Today we were told they didn't have any honey chicken because nobody had cooked it... this was about 12:00-12:30. Store opened at 10:45. Arrived at this Chipotle restaurant Sunday June 1st and was greeted by a sign on the exterior of the door stating that only digital orders were being accepted. Nowhere did it explain if we could eat on the premises, so I decided to ask first prior to ordering, since only one person was setting at a table and was on a phone with no food or drink. Our prior trip to this restaurant had not been a positive experience as nobody was servicing the drink station with multiple empty containers of their specialty drinks, and many tables had not been cleaned even though adequate staff was working on that day. Considering we do not normally place an order through the app, this was just an added inconvenience that slowed our service. Upon finally finishing my order, this placed us behind numerous other parties with large orders that walked in way after our arrival. One of my major concerns with Chipotle on any given day is the temperature of the food that you receive. None of the ingredients ever seem to be hot, or even warm. The majority of the time the dish appears to be cold. The rice, the black beans, the chicken, and the fajita mix you would think should be hot. The tomato salsa, corn salsa, sour cream, cheese, and lettuce should be cold. Guess what, it's all cold. Considering the number of adverse events they have had with food borne illness from outbreaks, you would think they would have tighter standard operating procedures. The food is normally consistent, but served cold for the most part. I was amazed by one staff member trying to keep this restaurant operational on this day, the person constructing and bagging all orders from the to go station. Normally, 2 people are filling orders at the to go station, and 3 are across the front handling the inside orders. One person was handling all orders! No manager was on site and visible and pitching in to cover for all the absenteeism on this day. No owner, no general manager, no district manager, no shift manager was assisting under adverse conditions. Needless to say, many people walked in, and many people walked back out without placing an order. The food I would rate a 1, due to all items being cold. Service on this day I would have to rate a 1, due to a cumbersome process of having to utilize the App to place any order, and the reward app being completely cumbersome in trying to get a credit for a drink reward. (forced to order a medium soft drink, but no explanation to speed the process), then the inadequately staffed business. (3 team members) The atmosphere was a 1 for the exceedingly cold temperatures inside the restaurant making it uncomfortable to stay inside, and all the tables outside being soiled from previous customers. The one employee that was filling the orders deserves a bonus for the day, since the other 2 employees unfairly rotated and stayed out of the filling station! The drink station picture is from a previous visit when adequate staff existed that day, but no one was staying on top of cleaning tables and restocking self service stations. Last but not least, this had to be the worst location for trying to skimp on ingredients, except for when it comes to filling the bottom of your bowl with 2 scoops of rice. The day that I ordered the Barbacoa, I'm not sure how many attempts it took with the tongs to pick up a smaller portion each time! Maybe four? Try utilizing a slotted spoon, so that everyone receives a fair portion size, or weighing the product so every customer receives what they should! I'm a regular Chipotle customer, but this location is seriously damaging the brand. On July 31, I stopped in to order food for my wife and had the most disgusting fast food experience I've ever encountered. They were out of cheese and lettuce, and the guacamole was brown. Worse, the kitchen area was filthy--trash was overflowing onto the floor, not just a little, but a shocking amount. I paid for the food but ended up going to Five Guys instead, just to give my wife a safer option. If they are allowing their customers to see this filth what are they doing behind closed doors. We ultimately threw the Chipotle food in the trash. If management can't meet basic cleanliness and service standards, this location shouldn't be open read more

Run by thugs who care little to none about customer satisfaction. Asked for white rice with no cilantro (as the rice was more green than white) was told they dont do that. When replied, "I get it every time" was met with "do you wanna speak to the manager". We said yes but no manager ever came out. We then were told, it would take 40 minutes. Out of all the restaurants I've been to over the years, and out of all the experiences I've had, this was the worst customer service I've experienced by a Long Shot. Please if anyone else is treated as poorly as I was at this Chipotle, leave a review and spread the word. No one should be treated that way. The manager there is absolutely the most insulting, rude, and outrageous person I've come across. I wish I was smart enough in the moment to record her, but I was so shocked by the way I was being treated, I honestly froze up. After paying $35 for a chicken salad (through door dash), I received what was about a half spoon of chicken on maybe about 5 leaves of spinach. All the toppings were missing as well. When I tried to show the manager my order, she stopped me mid sentence like this , handed me a business card, and told me she didn't like the way I walked in and call them. She refused to fix my order, she gave no apology, and told me to leave the store. I've called corporate already, wish I could do more. Worst chipotle burrito I've ever had in over 100 burritos. Do not come here to eat, the workers give you terrible ratios of ingredients and are rude and impatient whenever you try to ask for what you want. Even though there was not a line at the store, the lady was worse than a child at putting together a burrito. My husband and I ordered Chipotle, we got chips and queso. We ordered a large and the chips weren't even filled half way up in the bag. Not only that but they were extremely stale, normally I can deal with a little bit of staleness but not with these. They were so bad. I did it...I ordered from this store once again so maybe it's my fault that I have to write this review. I have a house full of people who either work from home or are virtual learning so we have ordered/online from this store several times. Without hesitation I can state that 100% of the time there was an issue with our order. Always something missing or Burritos had ingredients we didn't ask for or did ask for and wasn't added. We can almost get over food being wrong HOWEVER the people, Chipotle leaders please hear me when I say YOUR PEOPLE have to do BETTER - Like a customer service training 101 class, just start there! Common courtesy like a hello or a thank you...even an apology and a smile wouldn't hurt. This place needs a good scrubbing. Everything is dirty. The dining area in addition to being filthy, is a mess. There are boxes stackec on several tables. When I stepped into the Chipotle, I was excited to eat a delicious burrito and enjoy a good meal. However, before I even got to order I noticed how disgusting and dirty everything was. Wish I could leave zero stars. This resturaunt is the worst Chipotle I have ever been to. The lady who took our orders and made our food was terribly rude. And then when we pay and get our receipt back, we realize it is much more than what we usually pay. Turns out, they charge almost two dollars for a cup of vinaigrette, which is fine if that's what they want to do, but we were not told before completing our order. We are visiting Myrtle Beach from out of state and our family eats at Chipotle at least 3 times per week at home. My husband and I have spent our lives in customer service and we just experienced the poorest example of customer service that I have ever witnessed at the 1229 N Retail Court, Myrtle Beach, SC. store. It was never clear who was the manager in charge. There were some people in the back and the person we were told could address the situation would not even turn around to acknowledge or to try to answer the question, diffuse, or resolve the problem. A simple order of a quesadilla that should have been available with an online order was listed as unavailable? How does this happen to begin with and by this time we are at the register with the other 3 other orders and told the only thing was to go to the back of the line and order something different. We had all waited in line the first time. While the rest of us did not get to complete our order with chips and drinks. We had an appointment and did not have time to wait. Never did anyone ever begin to apologize. One young lady did provide us with some water cups when I went to the register and ask for them. This is the first YELP review I have ever written and it disappointing that Chipotle does not do a better job of training management and employees. read more

Not sure what's changed, but the staff seem happier, my food is always fresh and plentiful, and everything seems much cleaner than before.
