Big fan of this place. A lot of healthy options, fresh food, delicious rice, and quick service. The only reason that it didn't get five stars, is because I didn't like how the burritos were put together. Everything was mashed in the center and it was rolled in a big fat bundle, so you couldn't take a bite and taste all the flavours. If it was rolled nicely, so that it could be eaten easier, and all the flavours could be in each bite, it would get five stars for sure. Instead, I'll just stick with the bowls. LOVED the hot salsa! I feel like I need to upgrade this specific location from my previous review due to how consistent it has become in the last couple of months when I've been there at least 15 times. The girls that work here are very nice and remember you (when you come often enough lol) and your order. Very happy with my experience here after visiting the Tacoma location and being extremely disappointed. I am a regular to the Federal Way store and I feel this location is equally delicious. As for the staff, I thought it was nice yet unnecessary for the first employee to list everything I could chose from, I would understand him listing all my options if I had asked any questions but when I say no rice or beans I dont need to know what kind of beans you have. Also the woman who finished my order was not listening to anything I said, I had to tell her my order 3 times. The store was clean and beverage station was stocked. Chipotle isn't ever something to complain about because it's so good, who am I kidding? But this one just straight up sucks. The bowls are never as big as other chipotles and the food is definitely not as fresh. At all. The chips are always stale. We love Chipotle!!! Anytime, Any place, Any day I am down for Chipotle. The Olympia Chipotle however is always packed and always a bit unkept, and messy tables. I get that they are always packed and it's hard to keep up with the constant customer rotation but they need to step it up. The food is always fresh and hot, the staff are nice enough. I recently moved from California and have been to many Chipotle's in CA/WA because I LOVE the food! The convenience of eating clean food is fab. I gotta say though, this is the worst one I have ever visited. It is just dirty in the dining area the few times I have been in and I have a difficult time getting the items I want in my bowl. I always order the same thing...a veggie with guacamole on the side, queso, with extra cheese, sour cream and rice. I don't take the meat, tofu or veggies. EVERY-TIME I order I have to ask multiple times for the three items I order extra. It's embarrassing. The last time I went I got this strange male server who kept staring at me in an attempt to, I think, intimidate when I would ask for extra and he would throw 3 littles grates of cheese on both times I requested "a little more." He did the same thing to the woman in front of me. It was truly disturbing. I haven't had this problem at any other Chipotle. read more

This is a great chain. The food tastes good. It's not real Mexican, but if you want that, hit the taco truck that is nearby (which I also love): 2411 Harrison Ave NW Olympia, WA 98502 What you get at Chipotle is fresh, bright flavors. I have tried, chicken, barbacoa, carnitas, and steak. I liked them all, but I prefer the steak, it's dry and tender, which is complimented by the salsas you can get. Such poor managing at this Chipotle. My one and only experience there was ordering online, and it just so happened that their online orders were super backed up at that time. Took over an hour longer than it was supposed to for my order to be ready. How does management not prepare for a situation like this? Employees had no clue what was going on, someone was standing at the front when nobody was coming in the store to order and could have easily been in the back preparing online orders. They should have a much better system down than this which is very sad to see as this should have been a much different experience. I will not be returning, especially not after seeing an employee smoking outside the store. read more

I loved this place when it first opened, fresh, quick, and delicious, however the past two times I've been in, the burrito has gotten smaller and smaller. I fear the next time I go in, I'll just get the foil and no burrito. I've noticed the portions vary from server to server. Sometimes it's 1.5 scoops of meat, the next its not quite 1 scoop. Being from San Diego, I never had reason to try Chipotle: There are seven authentic taco shops per street, all serving hot carne asada with lime and cilantro. In Washington, not so much. Still, Chipotle is great fast-food. Hearty, no-nonsense ingredients that can be double-wrapped with tortillas. This specific location is quick, friendly, and clean (especially for having lots of foot traffic). I like Chipotle because it is good mexican fast food. You choose a base product (burrito, etc) and then you choose the protein, type of rice, type of beans, type of salsa, etc that you want included. You can stay and eat inside or outside, or you can take it to go. I like choices, and this is definitely more healthy than taco bell, although it is more expensive too. read more

This is probably the worst chipotle I've ever been to. Idk why I even gave this a second chance because the second time was worst than the first. First the worker put to much toppings on my burrito and while wrapping it (probably the worst wrap I've ever seen) topping continue to fall out while she's doing this, and she does nothing. Her co worker can see I'm getting frustrated and says sorry that's she put to much and just put and extra tortilla around my half smushed gross burrito. This place is garbage. I very much appreciate the only fast food chain that uses hormone free meats and fresh local ingredients. I love the tacos and burritos (make sure to order light rice, extra lettuce or you will get a tortilla full of rice). Definitely not authentic but still tasty. The atmosphere is awful. Inside sounds like a busy wearhouse covered up by horrible music. Outside was nice to sit and eat until they put in a ManCheese next door that blasts their crap music outside. Oh well. Subway meets Tex Mex! I had never eaten at a Chipotle before but I had heard lots of raves about it from others...So I gave them a whirl. I ordered a chicken burrito. It is done like a Subway store, assembly line style and I picked what I wanted on it. I was very satisfied with the result. The flavor was fantastic. The grilled chicken had so much flavor, and the lime rice was a great flavor enhancer. My daughter (age 7) is addicted to their quesadillas..she swears that these are the best kind she has ever had. The chips and salsa...mediocre. I am not really a fan of "chain restaurants." but as Chipotle goes, it is great. I must warn you...if you order the chicken...watch out for bones! The last time I went I ordered via my itouch with their app. It worked out great! Perfect for lunch hour. In and out of the door in 5 minutes!! Bad news is that their quesadillas cannot be ordered via iphone/itouch so I had to call it in...then pay the difference when I got to the store. Bottom line, great lunch on the go! read more

I really like eating here, and i tend to eat here a lot. It seems to be a hit or miss with the meat tho. I ALWAYS order the chicken burrito. Sometimes its moist and delicious, some times its luke warm and VERY dry. They tend to put too much rice as well. I feel like im paying for a tortilla with rice half the time. But it still tastes good. Someone stated that it feels warehousy inside. I fully agree with them. They have the music too loud and the workers cant hear what i ask for half the time. I cant stand sour cream and its put on a lot. But id rather not complain. If the burrito is made without the sour cream and the chicken is fresh. The food is great! read more

Not overwhelming. I ordered a steak burrito and while it tasted all right, the steak was chewy and not all that flavorful. After ordering a drink with my burrito, the attendant did not charge me for the drink and had to process payment a second time for the drink that she neglected to ring up. I have eaten at this location several times in the last year and tend to avoid it because the wait and mediocre food quality make it a less than thrilling experience. This is probably one of the best fast-food places in the mall, but it's still in great need of a makover in the service and consistency department. read more

This is what I wrote yesterday, pretty much right after eating. I gave it a 2.5 out of 5. BUT then I got food poisoning from this food. I didn't eat anything before this, and I got sick 30 minutes after eating. While I can't confirm it actually was food poisoning because I didn't go to the doctors, for me it was food poisoning (it came on so quickly, and I had to leave work). First impressions of walking inside was that it's very dark. I chose to get steak burrito bowl with brown rice. I do like that there are some good options for people with gluten intolerance, like myself. 1 scoop of brown rice, 1 medim sized scoop of black beans, and a scoop of steak. Down the line it went. I got hot verde salsa (I think that's what it is), some sour cream (that looked more like watered down sour cream?), corn salsa, and guac. Everything came to $9.25. I'm not very pleased with the price. I sometimes get the Cantina Bowl from Taco Bell, and although it's not of the same quality, it is about the same size as Burrito Bowl for half the price. So Chipotle did definitely not win me on that. I got my order TO GO. This may be a bit nitpicky, but I don't like that I have to go get my own utensils and napkins for something to go. I feel like they should put it in the bag for me or at least provide it at the cash register for easy grabbing. And none of the staff was very accomodating; like someone said before, not everyone has been to Chipotle. So I took my food to work and started eating immediately as I was very hungry. First impressions of food: that hot verde sauce is really good! It is indeed hot, but that's how I like my food. There's nothing I hate more that food advertised as "hot" with hardly a hint of spiciness. This salsa/sauce lived up to it. Brown rice was cooking nicely, and I tasted the cilantro, which I like. The black beans were black beans, nothing much to say there. Now on to the steak. I wasn't very impressed with it. I thought it should be more tender; I have weird things with the texture of beef, and the texture of this beef was not right. Maybe it just wasn't cooked right, because the flavor was fine. I could have lived without the sour "cream." Guac was good, though. Negative: when I opened up my food, the items that should be steaming, were lukewarm at best, and the items that should be cold, were kinda lukewarm too. Overall, I would give it a 2.5 out of 5. Don't know if I'll go back; if I do, definitely won't be for a while. read more

Regardless of where I have lived, Chipotle is always the same which is a good thing. A mark of a good restaurant is consistency. I know what I get without any surprises. The restaurant layout, ordering counter, food selection, and side options are all the same. No surprise menu items or feature of the month specials. Everything is fresh and ready to be served in a delicious burrito bowl. Well the bowl isn't delicious but you get my point. On my last visit they threw me a curve ball as they now serve brown rice. Admittedly I haven't been to a Chipotle in about 4+ months so perhaps brown rice is old news to more frequent visitors. I asked the server to give me a small sample and he obliged. Since leaving Texas I've truly missed Tex-mex. Chipotle does not help in that endeavor. They hooked me with a coupon for a free burrito, but I splurged for a salad with steak and was all prepared to pay for the guacamole and they included that too. I will return. I do not like Cilantro so I don't like how a lot of their stuff has it mixed in but I've always asked if they can give me the rice in the back without the Cliantro and have never had a problem.
