I used to love chipotle but this one in Rehobeth is absolutely terrible. The staff were joking around and not doing any work what so ever. They were rude and unhelpful. Going in at 8:00pm and they were out of white and brown rice. No steak or chicken was cooked and everything was limited on what they had. I would give this restaurant zero or negative stars if I could. Place an order online, arrived at the stated pickup time. Our food was not ready until over 50 minutes after the stated pickup time. The restaurant was not busy, & there were five workers who were standing around, laughing, talking with their friends, on their cell phones, and only one or two at a time seemed interested in trying to make food. Absolutely zero sense of urgency, and no organization whatsoever. To make it even better, when we got home we realized that part of the order was missing and I had to go back. Two employees were standing behind the counter talking to each other for a while not acknowledging my friend and I as we waited for them to finish their convo. My wife and I don't often frequent fast food restaurants. However, we were in Rehobeth beach recently and I can honestly say this restaurant was probably the dirtiest and worst run restaurant. It was lunchtime and every single table was dirty, the floor was filthy, the trash cans were overflowing, the grill was absolutely disgusting, the counter behind the food counter was loaded with dirty containers and it didn't seem like anyone took any responsibility. In addition, the drink counter has (4) different lemonade containers where you pour your own. Not only were all (4) empty, but they were filthy as was the bathroom. I counted (5) employees and only (1) was actually working. Honestly, given how inattentive the staff was to all the above, I would seriously doubt they would pass a food inspection. We will NOT be going back to this location. In reading the other reviews it is clear that this place has no leadership and surprisingly enough Corporate seems disinterested. read more

I thought I would give this location another try since last visit early in the summer. I thought they might have been overwhelmed with busy crowds then and was not a pleasant experience and very dirty. This evening it was slow and shoulder season so thought it might be a better experience. It wasn't. First of all workers just standing around. And the people working were more interested in filling online orders and didn't even acknowledge us standing there waiting to place an order. Then when they finally accepted an order all the ingredients were sparse. When asked if order was ok I said I thought they were light with the food and they said sorry. When I was walking away I heard someone mention the word "rude". I couldn't believe it, they were rude! This location is a disgrace to chipotle. It is not clean. I have been several times, and they do not have the ingredients advertized. I think they should remove fahitas from the menu because the one time they did have fahitas, they looked like (and tasted like) they had been out just for the day and never cooked again. Out of chips and guacamole was another often "out of" feature. I was there at 8:30 on a Saturday night (they closed at 10:00PM), they were out of fahitas, out of ice tea, out of carnitas, and the staff were indifferent. I paid for ice tea, but there was none, when I asked about it (twice), they said that that the tea would "probably not" be refilled. One nice thing was sometone in the back of the kitchen said she would bring some out. I just went to the Ocean City, MD Chipotle -- what a difference, it was clean, the staff engaged and all ingredients on the menu available. Little things, like trash cans near the self serve beverage, napkins, straws area were available. Like I said the Chipotle in Rehoboth is a disgrace and I am never going back. read more

I enjoyed chicken tacos, chips and guacamole, and a small beverage at this Chipotle's. It is typical Chipotle Mexican Grill flavors and service, i.e. decent food, friendly employees, fast-paced environment. My total check on this visit was $12.20, which was not bad for decent portions. This particular location is near the Seaside Outlet stores, so it is nice to have a decent, quick meal while shopping. read more

Look I get that times are hard and they are understaffed and I won't fault them for that. But the people that do work there need serious training. Ive been coming here for three years and the food is not consistent. The steak is often over cooked, chewy and today it's literally burnt! What happened to the juicy steak?! The rice is also inconsistent. Sometimes it's delicious and full of cilantro lime flavor. Other times it's tasteless. When mobile ordering I would like my food treated the same as if I were there watching them make it. They are constantly out of stuff and the employees are RUDE as hell with the exception of a few... the ones that have a good attitude I make sure to praise them!! I appreciate good customer service, unfortunately it's rare to see there. I used to live by the Dover De location which was always on point. They KNEW me there and had my order memorized even! For a short time that manager was moved to Rehoboth and that's the only time this Chipotle was run properly. It seems they've taken him away from me again been because now it's worse than ever. I see nothing but bad reviews here so I really hope to see a change but I'm not at all hopeful. This is the worst chipotle to ever exist. I eat chipotle frequently and there's somehow always a problem at this location. I can understand being short staffed; I am patient with that because I work in the service industry. However I don't have patience for stupidity, these employees are oblivious and do not care at all. Today, I ordered on the chipotle app like I usually do and they forgot THREE ingredients, including guacamole. How do you forget 3 ingredients when you're reading off of a receipt? Hands down the worst chipotle in Delaware. I have issues with this place every time I come here. It's either they're only taking online orders or they're missing half the ingredients on their menu. I just ordered online for pickup, payed for and ordered double steak, double corn, double salsa. No one my requests were fulfilled. I go to my car to open my bowl which I already knew was incorrect because of how light it was. I shouldn't have to walk back into the restaurant to get ingredients added to my bowl when they literally read my ticket showing ingredients and portion sizes. I recommend never coming to this place. This has got to be the worst chipotle ive ever been to. Not only was it extremely slow but everybody that worked there was rude, they were even rude about us trying to get forks when they were out of forks by the drink station. I asked for a child's cheese quesadilla and he put chicken on it, when I told him I ordered cheese he told me no you said chicken then grabbed the food and threw it in the trash then after that he was annoyed for the rest of my order and I could barely hear him. All the lemonades were out the entire time I stood in line and ate my food. Not one single person came out to wipe off the tables and they were all gross. My moms bowl was soaked at the bottom from them dumping the rest of the onions they had in her bowl with all the juice which soaked through the bag and if it weren't for my daughter catching the bottom of the bag when it tore open it all would have been on the floor...never again...a waste of time and money read more

Ordered ahead using the app, arrived a couple of minutes early, around 5:42 p.m. Nobody was in line to order, but my order wasn't ready. No worries! A line starts to form, and a good 25 customers (who did not order ahead) came in, ordered, paid, and left in the amount of time it took to get my order at 6:05 p.m. AND then I get home, only to find out they gave me the wrong beverage! What is the point of ordering and paying ahead of time if your order is over 20 minutes late and the customer who didn't preorder get their meals before you?!? Get it together. Other Chipotles are not like this. Oh, and I asked for a receipt (I am local and use the Tanger App), and the cashier said it was in the bag. I checked, it was not, and asked again. He said they don't print receipts...I know this isn't the case, because I always request one for the Tanger points! Should really consider hiring people who actually want to work or give them customer service lessons because they very much need that. Also, what kind of food place runs out of water?? This is only the 2nd time I've left a review on Yelp but I feel compelled by how horrific this Chipotle is. There is not a way this Chipotle does not fail regularly. You either arrive to signs in the window listing (often) half a dozen or more items they're out of, or they're doing "online only" so you just end up standing and ordering on your phone with everyone else (what sense does that make, again?) and waiting an extraordinarily long time. There are two constants, however: the store is perpetually ungodly filthy and the employees are ridiculously rude. No matter how kind you attempt to be to their employees you're constantly met with snappy, sarcasm ridden responses and the aura of "why are you bothering me" seeping from their very existence. There were no utensils or napkins at the station. The entire place was also very unsanitary. This is not the Chipotle you know at home. You will wait in line for 3-4x longer than you do at home. And one employee constructs your entire order while the other stand around and look busy. They kept running out of ingredients. The girl at the cash register looks like she hates her life and you for bothering her. She just stands there while her teammates fumble the order. I have to echo other recent reviews of this Chipotle: great food but service is worthy of 1 star. So I entered the line behind a pair of guys ordering 4 burritos. Anyway, there was some big deal (for the staff) about how many cups of sour cream and guac they wanted. One of the workers was visibly ANGRY about a simple communication issue. Body language and tone of voice say so much and clearly she is unaware of this fact. I guess they have the dividing glass so high so she doesn't lunge across the counter and slug some poor dolt who doesn't know enough about Chipotle. Anyway, I swallowed hard when she asked me what I would like. My wife wanted pork in her burrito but I didn't see it on the board (it was visible behind the counter), so I asked what carnitas was and it was explained. "Okay, I'll have the pork then." "You mean carnitas (emphasis on the last word, stupid customer)" "Oh, sure" Anyway, she seemed annoyed when I ordered another burrito. Don't ask me why, I don't know. Advice: turn off the roaring ventilation hood when not cooking, retrain or adjust the medication of employees, and don't forget to smile.
