However, the biggest hangup with this location is they can't seem to satisfy big app pickup orders and the in-store customers at the same time. If this location gets bogged down with big app orders, then the in-store customers could get sub-par service. How? This was one of the worst food experiences I have ever had. I waited 25 minutes for the extremely disappointing service. One of staff members making my burrito just added black beans to my burrito without asking, and they did not drain the bean juice, so my burrito was soggy. Later, I asked another staff member working on my burrito if they had more lettuce since there was only the gross old scraps down at the bottom of the empty lettuce dish. They proceeded to ignore me and dig out about 7 soggy pieces of lettuce to add to my burrito. I also asked for a side of guacamole, which ended up being chunky. And, the burrito was maybe half the size of any burrito I have every gotten from any other location. I felt like I was just eating a tortilla. When checking out, the staff member never made any indication that the payment had processed completely, so I was left standing there for an awkward 30 seconds standing there before they just left. I am not expecting nauseous positivity, but a "you're all set" would have been fine. Besides asking for "white rice or brown rice," no one even talked to me at all and just gestured or stared. The customer service was atrocious. However, the burrito was actually edible and I have not gotten sick (yet, at least), and it tasted, though worse than usual, alright, so I guess there is that. I paid $12.64 for an undersized, vegetarian burrito (I didn't get any meat or fajita veggies, so I'm not exactly sure what I was even paying for) with a side of guacamole. Convenient location for a larger population of college students so this location will get customers regardless. I've come in the past for a small meal but nowadays there are so many great options around that Chipotle isn't as appealing. Anyways, I stopped by to try the new brisket and was reminded of why I'd much rather make the trip to U-Vill. First, the quantities here are a bit disappointing. Obviously there are serving sizes but at other locations, U-Vill in particular, they're very generous with food so that the entire bowl is actually filled. At this location, you get a filled middle portion that falls apart and spreads to the sides. This means the sides are very empty and simply have residue from when the lid is placed on. Brisket was pretty good, but not sure if it justifies being the most expensive meat option. It's more of a fatty steak that's more tender, but because it's also cut in those small square pieces, it's not very alike to brisket you expect. It also has a sweeter taste, almost bbq sauce like but the flavor and taste is very hidden inside all the other flavors, especially the salsa. This Chipotle gets a lot of foot traffic because of its convenient location for college students. While I find the food here passable, I think that the quantity and quality are better at the Chipotle located in University Village. My main complaint about this location is that the guacamole and fajita veggies didn't look super fresh; they looked like they've been sitting out for a while due to their dull color. Also, while I admit I ordered takeout, the food was below lukewarm by the time I walked 15-minutes back to my apartment. I'm not sure if the food was hot to begin with, but they do have a good or excellent health rating, so I assume that they are adhering to food safety temperature regulations. My usual go-to order is a chicken bowl with brown rice, black beans, fajita veggies, lettuce, sour cream, corn salsa, mild salsa, hot salsa, and if I feel like splurging the extra $2.25, guacamole. The chicken tasted moist on my latest visit, but I have gotten dry chicken from them before. Just make sure to look at the meat before making your selection. We Door Dashed Chipotle from this location. Got two burrito bowls. The Dasher got the food to us in less than 30 minutes. Closer to 25 actually. I opened up my steak burrito bowl and was like whaaaat? A few steak chunks mixed in with about 6-8 pinto beans, a sprinkle of corn, half a pound of rice, a tbsp of guacamole maybe and a few cheese shreds. What's more is it was already cold. Not cold like it just got down to room temperature cold but cold like the rice was not tender and the guacamole congealed. Not cool (pun intended). My hotel room had no microwave either and Chipotle did not throw in any utensils even though we asked in the order. No napkins either. The front desk had plastic spoons. Normally I wouldn't spend my time choosing to review a widely franchised establishment like Chipotle but I have continuously had negative experiences at this particular location. It is next door to my place of work so naturally I am a frequent customer. This is probably the worst location of Chipotle I have ever been to. It is always very dirty and there is rarely ever a table that is clean enough for me to dine in. They are constantly out of ingredients - whether it be a meat, lettuce or even chips! The guacamole and lettuce always look old. The pickup order system here is very flawed and you often have to wait a lot of time to get your order because they keep the bags in the very back of the restaurant. On busy days, it can take 10 minutes just to get your already prepared pickup order. If you are a student at UW or a big Chipotle fan, I would recommend making the extra distance to the U-Village location. So after that experience, I tried again to support this location, but I'll never be back. To start with, they simply CAN NOT handle the sheer volume of orders. The staff look like they're completely rung out, and it obviously sucks to work there. But it's obvious that meal delivery is the tipping point for them that makes it impossible to keep a stocked & clean environment. While in line, the woman in front of me pitched a fit after finding out there was no lettuce available. They apparently reserve it (and prob other things) for the food delivery services, and if you actually expend the time & energy to go there, you aren't allowed to have any once the front line supply is depleted. Now, I have to tell you that the grub doesn't hold up in delivery. It's cold, soggy, and really bleak, especially since you're paying a fortune for it. Fresh is really the only way to go. But now, you're penalized if you do. I was annoyed not to get lettuce too, but the woman in front of me was pretty ridiculous about it. She spoke to multiple ppl about it. Meanwhile, i'm chatting w the staff and going thru the line. My burrito maker was getting noticeably sloppier & more careless down the line.
