came here because I got the ShackBurger for free with another purchase, which after some debating, I decided to choose to spend on the Spicy Korean BBQ Cheese Fries First, the burger. It was smaller than I expected - although the amount of toppings inside was decent - the buns were surprisingly small. Only 500 cal for a burger is pretty low, especially one that costs nearly 7 and a half dollars I thought the quality was pretty good, though The buns were really soft and nice. Shake Shack seems to take the opposite route as some other places and undertoasts their buns - but here I found that it worked well as the top was pillowy soft and the insides of each bun was buttered well. I didn't like the fact that the mayonnaise was not spread on the bun though - instead it was in separate dollops The smashed burger was pretty good - although I do have a similar complaint about it not being thick enough. However, it did taste quite good - as it was crunchy, and well flavored I thought the cheese was also quite good and melted well on the burger patty. Wish there was a little bit more lettuce though The part of this meal that I really liked more were the fries, however After trying these, I'm pretty convinced that Shake Shack makes the best (or maybe second best to Five Guys) french fries out of any fast food place That's just the basic fries, however. These specialty fries were even better I loved the kimchi seasoning on these. While I do wish a) it would have some actual spice to it and b) it was all over the fries instead of only on a few, I found it added a fantastic seasoning - making this truly a unique french fry experience. I like to go to Shake Shack whenever I receive some type of offer / deall - otherwise it isn't worth it at full price. It is a more pricey "fast food" option and their burgers are sometimes comparable in size to a Dick's burger. It's worth getting the app and and an account so you get notified of deals like BOGO burgers or app only pricing (ex. $3 french fries or $5 milkshakes). My main reason for the lower rating (3) for this location are the logistics - I've gone to other Shake Shack locations in the Seattle area, but this one is the most chaotic if you decide to do an app/online order. First off is the parking situation... which can be a little chaotic in U-Village. Maybe you see the long line for the kiosks on a busy Sunday night and decide to try skipping the line by ordering via the app. Within the app there is an option to pick up at the express window outside or pick up inside. During my last visit, I spent quite a bit of time inside waiting for my order - they give you a text when it's ready. I had selected the option to pick up my order inside since I had planned on eating my meal... inside. However, upon getting notified via text my order was ready for pick up, my number hadn't been called. By the time I had finally gotten a hold of someone and letting them know I had a in-store pick up, I was told all online orders regardless of what they indicate would need to be picked up outside through the express window... which was another line. It took about 10 minutes from the time I had received a text my order was ready and I managed to pick it up from the express window. In that time my food had already cooled down significantly, and I was more annoyed there wasn't any signage that all orders placed online/app had to be picked up outside. So be warned fellow app user - if you decide to order your Shake Shack through the app but want to eat inside, when you get the text that your order is ready you'll have to venture outside and wait in line at the Express Pick-Up window, regardless of how you specified where to pick it up! read more

The menu at this location was more expansive than the ones we have in DC - that was a pleasant surprise. The lemonade with cherry bobo was fun. And I always appreciate a spicy fry. The teens are their burgers. My mom thought the chili on the hot dog was too spicy. Everyone liked their shakes. Look, it's a Shake Shack. It's a known chain and pretty consistent across locations. Expect what you're used to at whatever other location. It's a solid, decent, a-ok meal. I will add that I was pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness of the tables and seating. This place is amazing! You walk up to a self order screen , order, pay, you get a number and find a table. ( or you can order to go) This was super convenient because we had just spent the whole morning shopping, the restaurant we walked in before had at least a 20 minute wait time. This place had no wait time and it was friendly and inviting. So after we ordered our food, we sat a table and our food was ready pretty quick. It was super busy too so I was very impressed that it arrived to the table so fast. It's pretty big inside, has outdoor seating and a little doggie area! Service and quality haven't improved from what I recall shake shack being. Service was quite slow and they always seem to miss something from the initial order. The place was really spacious and clean which seemed to be the best part about it all. My burger was so dry, and had a pancake of a bun compared to its top bun layer. They also put the tiniest tomato in my chicken burger and gave me a batch of fires that were mixed in with overly burnt ones. Anything positive I would have had to say, has been over, written by the managements lack of customer service. At this restaurant, you order through using kiosks/tablets. We ordered a deluxe burger that did not have the word cheese anywhere in the title, and did not stand out in Any obvious way. My husband has an allergy to dairy, and therefore cannot eat cheese. And as you may realize, it's pretty hard to take melted cheese off a burger As soon as the employee delivered the burger, my husband told him that it has cheese on it and he cannot eat it and was wondering if he would replace it. Employee was annoyed and said no, so my husband asked again in another way, but still nicely So the employee asked the manager working who quickly also said no. My husband would simply need to buy another burger. I can imagine if the main way that any customer orders, a burger is through a machine, many customers are probably going to make mistakes. And if their overall policy or philosophy is that it's the customer's problem, then that is not a restaurant I will be going to again. So my husband said "OK, I guess I'll have to give it away for free then since I'm not gonna waste it, and I can't eat it". The employee simply shrugged his shoulders and had the expression like he could care less then walked away And with that, we decided we would not be giving them any more of our business even though my husband was starving. I'm not sure how the other shake shacks operate or if this one is its own "little gem" (sarcasm), but I would avoid this one for sure. We tried to order and veganize from their kiosk. While it allowed for the removal of cheese, shake sauce, and onion crisps, it did not provide an option to substitute a gluten free bun (their vegan bun option, from what I've heard). On the plus side, if you use their smart phone app (which we didn't think of at the time) .. you do have the option to sub a lettuce wrap instead (saving yourself 220 calories!). We had to order from the manager and I suspect the bun we got may not have been gluten free after all (it actually had taste lol).
