We got queso, which did not taste like anything. We both did not finish our tacos. There wasn't any seasoning on the meats and they were honestly gross. They were also out of smoked brisket and fajita meat. They service was good and the they were very kind but it made us so sad. We will not be coming back here again. I hate to leave a bad review, but I wanted others to be aware as I know many people used to drive out of their way to eat here.

The dining room is separated from the bar area. It has 10' side walls and open, high ceilings. There's a couple of TVs in the dining room and a couple of ceiling fans. There's HVAC vents hanging down and there are 2 mini splits. It's nearly 100F outside and it's comfortable enough (not real cool) in here. Our server, Penelope, was quite pleasant. She was able to answer our food questions and give us recommendations. They use handheld order taking devices. I like that. I had a Shiner Boch to start and my wife had a Margarita rocks - no salt. Both drinks came out lightning fast. My beer was nice and cold and her margarita was real tasty and not too sweet. For dinner, I ordered the smaller order of Fried Catfish with a side. I had Tots. The fish filet was large, thin-battered, crispy and hot. The tots side was huge, crispy, hot and tasty. A great fried food meal. Took some of it home too. My wife ordered the Street Tacos. She was able to eat 2 of the 3 and she enjoyed them. Their homemade salsa was good and it had some heat to it. We brought her 3rd taco home. Pricing was fair. Service was great and fast. This restaurant has wonderful space--they have indoor seating and then a separate, HUGE pavilion. We opted for the pavilion because it is dog-friendly. It was perfect--multiple TVs, long bench-style tables for parties of all sizes, a stage for live music, a small bar area, and outside of it, pickleball courts! To eat, I ordered some "Mozzarella Cheese sticks," a "Brisket Sandwich," and a side of "Mac and Cheese." The cheese sticks came out fresh with cheese melted and dangling with every bite as it should. The brisket in the sandwich was moist and tender and the Mac and cheese was also very flavorful and delicious. I topped it off with some sweet tea. The cherry on top for us was the wonderful customer service--a manager/owner came out and spoke with us, asked where we were from and thanked us for coming by. Great hospitality. We really enjoy good BBQ. We were not disappointed! Massey's is located on the highway between Glen Rose and Granbury, adjacent to the golf course. The building is decorated with pages that kids colored. There's an arcade. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. The live music takes place in the outdoor seating area. I ordered the Massey Mess with pulled pork. It's a frito pie with delicious BBQ. The serving is massive. My wife had the loaded baked potato with brisket. She couldn't finish hers either. Both dishes were delicious. The meat was tender and full of flavor. All the ingredients were fresh. The service just couldn't be beat, beginning with the owner. Todd Massey himself greeted us as we came in and gave us a warm welcome. He answered all our questions about the menu. How often does THAT happen? The serving staff is sweet, friendly, and attentive. We never had to wait. They brought our food to us and checked on us often. Free refills on drinks. The music venue is very family friendly and roomy. There are fans on the perimeter and ceiling fans to keep everyone comfortable. The lighting was great and the sound of the band was too. There are ample clean bathtrooms. We sat there on a Saturday evening eating delicous BBQ and listening to good music. There were kids playing in the grassy area behind the pavillion. Couples got up and danced to their favorite songs.
