Stumbled upon a cute little "convenience" store on the second level of Pacific Mall. We wanted a snack and saw some people eating bagged noodles, so we figured it would be a good idea. The owner was really nice and explained to us the noodle concept, which is apparently really popular in HK. You get to choose a small bag/large container of noodles and select your own toppings. The bag was charged based on per noodle + item. I picked the more popular items like whelk, fake shark fin and tofu. The combo was quite salty to my liking and she did warn me though. Only problem with bagged noodles is it can get a bit messy especially with all the sauce. Make sure you have enough napkins to wipe your hands.

I was heading to Tycoon Tofu a few weeks back and passed by Chloe's Convenience. It stopped me in my tracks because I had heard great things about getting flavourful bagged, cold noodles. The woman behind the counter said hi. She was extremely nice. I said hi and indicated that I'd be back. I continued to head over to Tycoon Tofu with my original goal to get tofu pudding. After getting my tofu pudding, I returned to Chloe's Convenience. I said hi to the woman and said that I was back. Maybe she wasn't used to someone saying that she'd be back soon, but she was so happy that I returned. I meant it. I have seen bags of cold noodles from friends who have dropped by this place. The bags seemed like snack-sized portions. I needed dinner. Luckily, I could get a meal box. Yes, please! She was great guiding me through the ordering process. You basically choose whatever toppings that you'd like. A minimum of three toppings is recommended. With a meal box, six toppings are recommended. Finally, you choose a sauce or more. I went with these toppings and sauce: - Quail eggs - Jellyfish - Cucumber - Corn - Scallops - Mini fish cakes - Garlic sauce I got cucumber as a free topping when I followed this business on Instagram. She was impressed on how quickly I found her IG account and immediately followed her. I do it all for free cucumber! She was so sweet. She let me place my tofu pudding on her counter as she prepared my noodles. She got me a paper bag, and put my pudding and spoon in this bag with my noodles. I paid with a credit card. I tapped and all was great. I thanked her for my food. I headed to my car and drove home to chow down. These noodles were fantastic. The noodles were chewy and yummy. I loved my toppings. They had a lot of flavour. The textures were diverse and enjoyable. I loved having quail eggs again. The jellyfish had a different chewiness than the noodles that I liked. The cucumber and corn were a good pairing of veggies. The scallops and mini fish cakes were so fun to eat. The garlic sauce was so good and brought the noodles and toppings together. You could taste the garlic, but it didn't overpower everything that you were eating. I had a wonderful experience. I need to return to try more topping combinations. (205)

I really enjoyed Chloe's Convenience! Chloe provided such great service - explaining to us how to order, made suggestions and gave us a sample of one of the toppings. It's a really cool concept - the bagged noodles were amazing. I added lots of chili oil for flavour.

I was looking for something to eat at Pacific Mall and the neon sign here caught my eye. The two ladies at the front were also very friendly and introducing the concept of their noodle shop to me. After wandering the food court, I decided to come back and try this place. There are two sizes for the noodles. I opted for the snack size which comes in a plastic bag whereas the larger size comes in one of those plastic takeout containers. I think the snack size is perfect because the larger one is just too much noodles! I got three toppings: seaweed salad (they said this was their most popular), scallop lip, and tamago. It came to ~$7. I was a little disappointed because they gave so little pieces of the tamago :(. I wonder if the portions for the toppings are bigger if you get the larger box of noodles... Next, they add in sauces and you can choose your spice level. Everything came together really well and the flavours went together nicely. It was very saucy though! The noodles are cold so it's also a nice and refreshing snack.

Finally got to try Chloe's which I've been seeing float all around social media ! There's a choice between two bases- small ($1.50) and large ($4). Afterwards, there are three tiers of toppings starting from $1 and the highest tier is $2. Minimum requirement of 3 toppings. We chose the snack size with fish balls of the day (1.5) ; beef tripe ($2) and fish tempura ($1.5). Total was just under $7.5. For sauce , we picked garlic flavour ! Taste wise, we loved the garlicky goodness. That was the star of the show. Toppings were good too . Portion wise , I thought price was a tad steep for such a small size. I'm also not a fan of how cold it was :p For me , I might come back in the summer when it's hot so the cold noodles would taste more refreshing . I would also pay a few more dollars for the larger box which feels like it's a better value

Hey noodle lovers, have you had bagged noodles? Chloe's Convenience is a hidden spot in Pacific Mall that offers convenient bagged noodles like they do in Hong Kong! Not only is it fun, it's also convenient to grab & go with these. The ordering process is easy, simple pick the toppings you want & they mix it together in a bag of noodles with your choice of garlic & hot sauce. Then enjoy as you stroll through the mall. Since I love seafood, my toppings of choice were: Seaweed Salad, Kimchi Sea Snail & Baby Octopus. I was pleasantly surprised by the tastiness with satisfying texture & crunch. Don't miss out on a fun bite on your next visit to Pacific Mall.

I was visiting from the States and was walking around seeing if there was any food I wanted to try. Chloe's Convenience caught my eye. I got cold noodles in a bag and chose baby octopus and seaweed salad as my toppings. This was a cool concept of cold yellow noodles and the convenience of being able to eat out of a bag. Loved that I was still able to walk around and sneak in a bite without struggling or making a mess. Yummy garlicky, spicy flavor. Highly recommend trying!

Loved this Hong Kong street food stall. I am always a fan of generous garlic and salt. It's super convenient to pack and eat to-go. It gives me comfort food leftover vibes. Fast service!

New to the pmall food court area on the second level! They serve the highly addictive bagged noodles that you can get on the streets in Mong Kok in HK. We definitely missed the taste so when we saw it we came right away to try!! The owners informed us they will be getting more toppings in the future and take topping recommendations too! Can't wait until they have jellyfish and more noodle options! Once you pick your toppings they will ask you for your spice level and if you want garlic and then they will mix the baggie for you. Don't let the small size fool you, portions are pretty big. Will be back :)

I love this place! Not only is the owner super sweet, the noodles are such a simple yet very tasty snack. I love the variety of toppings they have to choose from. I always stop by whenever I'm at pacific mall! Can't wait to visit again soon!

Really fun quick eat. Picked quail egg, cucumbers, scallop lips, kimchi sea snails. $7 for the bag.

Came here yesterday to try their hk style cold noodles, the staffs are very friendly and patience explaining to me how it works. Their cold noodles is very close to the ones I tried in hk, will definitely go visit them again when I'm in pmall next time!

I have found my current addiction! Last week I had Chloe's noodle 3 days back to back. So many toppings to choose. Hong Kong Style Traditional cold noodles with your choices of toppings mixed in a delicious sauce full of umami with your choice of spice level. I've been going back to experiment with different toppings and will definitely be back for more. They offer snack size or a larger size as a meal. I highly recommend giving Chloe's Convenience a try if you're in the Pacific Mall/ Markham area 5/5

The restaurant is bright and spacious with lots of seatings. Bonus, they even have a few individual seating area. Service was polite and friendly. Ordered a few items to try. Beef fried rice noodles (hor fun), tons of sesame seeds and bean sprouts. Beef was tender and can taste the wok hey. However, the soy sauce is a bit on the sweeter side. Spicy pork soup vermicelli combo comes with eggs and toast. Soup vermicelli was good and flavorful. I opted for scrambled eggs and it was perfectly smooth and creamy. Toasts were a bit on a bland side. Curry fish ball, turnip and pig skin was decent. Slightly oily and also a bit on a sweeter note. Curry beef brisket has a hint of spicyness and has coconut milk. Nice curry taste but also a bit too sweet imo. Brisket was tender overall. Tomato sauce pork cutlet with rice was good flavour. Pork cutlet was crispy and juicy but tomato sauce was a little sweeter than usual. Coconut red bean drink was decent but the red beans were too hard and lacks the sandyness (softer texture). If you've had red bean dessert soup then you would know what i mean. Would of been better if the red bean quality was better. 4 stars overall.

It was my first time here, and the experience started off on the wrong foot. I had barely sat down, not even 30 seconds, before a staff member was already hovering over us trying to take our order. I hadn't even had a chance to look the menu yet, which immediately made things feel rushed and uncomfortable. The space itself is quite small, and they won't let smaller groups of two people or fewer sit in the booths, which adds to that cramped and slightly stressful atmosphere. There's people hovering nearby watching if you're almost done. Overall, the entire dining experience felt rushed from start to finish. The food is cheap, I'll give them that, but unfortunately the quality reflects that. I ordered a sandwich and it was sloppily put together. The bread slices were not even aligned properly, where the top slice and bottom slices were in opposite directions, making it so you couldn't pick it up. Flavour-wise, I was hoping for more of a Hong Kong cafe style satay beef, but this wasn't it. The curry was okay, with some decent chunks of meat and potato, but nothing particularly memorable. What really left a bad impression was the payment experience. Their debit machine defaults to 12%, 15%, or 18% tips calculated after tax, with no upfront notice or custom option. Tipping is not mandatory in Canada, and it should be up to the customer based on service. When we asked about it, the response felt as if we were being made to feel cheap over "just a few cents". Honestly it is not about the amount, it is about principle. If you are just looking for a quick and cheap bite, this place might do the job. But considering the long lines and how rushed the experience is, you might end up waiting longer than you actually get to sit and eat. Personally, I will not be coming back. I would rather get takeout or dine somewhere that lets you actually relax and enjoy your meal.

Orders were ready within 10-15 minutes. Baked pork chop rice was mediocre at best. Wasn't that good, some pieces of pork were tender and some were tough, rice had very little to no flavour. Hainanese chicken was delicious! Chicken was tender, rice has a nice flavour and you can tell they use the chicken broth they cooked the chicken to cook their rice. Comes with 3 sauces. Curry beef brisket was my favourite. Beef brisket was tender, the tender potatoes soaked up the curry sauce, and the curry was flavourful with a hint of spiciness. Lemon tea is good, but you really need to smash down the lemon to get that lemony taste. Will come back just for the curry beef brisket and hainanese chicken.

I am never the hop-on-the-bandwagon trendsetter. Good Catch Cafe and Bar has been in downtown Markham for a few years. I decided to come here for an early dinner after work on Wednesday for the first time. This eatery is a part of The Origin, the mall that includes a Cineplex, Goodlife Fitness, Chatime, and more. This eatery has its entrance facing Enterprise Boulevard. When you're parked at the parking lot across from it, it gives you the impression that the entrance is by the patio. Maybe you can enter and exit this side door when it's summertime. I see a lot of references in a number of Yelp reviews here to this eatery being Good Catch Boil. I remember when it was more of a seafood place when it first opened for business. It then meandered into a Hong Kong-style eatery, which is the case today. I'm guessing that the boil trend wasn't as popular over time. I walked in. I looked at a screen to check in. It was probably 4 pm and it wasn't terribly busy. I passed. A female server came over and asked if I was dining as a party of one. I nodded. She pointed me to a booth. I was pleased and sat myself down. It was comfy. It's kind of like a sports bar, but it's casual. I caught up with the Blue Jays loss against the Yankees the night before. By the end of my dining experience, this restaurant had good music playing that made dining here more upbeat. She came over with a bunch of menus. She also had a printed QR code. I could either order online or wave at any staff member to place my order. Nice! There are daily specials. You get a free drink with your order if you drop by between certain afternoon hours. I decided to order through the online menu and got these items: - Iced lemon Ribena - Curry fish balls (15) - Wonton noodle soup Service was wonderful. The female server got me water and my iced lemon Ribena. I love the latter drink so much. It was excellent. It had the perfect amount of lemon with Ribena, all iced. The water was also great. It was cold despite not having any ice cubes in it. My curry fish balls came out first. The curry smelled so good. I loved each curry ball that I stabbed with a skewer and dunked into the curry sauce. Each fish ball was bouncy and yummy. The sauce had a slight spicy kick that I thoroughly enjoyed. I'd get them again. A male server came over with my bowl of wonton noodle soup. I had maybe ten different noodle options to choose from, from ramen, to udon. I choose thin noodles. If you want a noodle pull, you'll easily get it here. The noodles were delicious, long, and so good. They weren't clumpy. Perfect! I was surprised that I got broccoli. I ended up submerging the florets in the broth. They started off on the crunchier side. They softened up nicely and I enjoyed how healthy eating each floret made me feel. I am used to getting bok choy or no veggies with wonton noodle soup. It was nice that I got something different. The wontons were excellent. They had shrimp in them, which I am thinking that the seafood part of this business is still there. I loved the green onions in this bowl of deliciousness. The broth was perfect. It wasn't overly salty. I could taste sesame oil that was aded to it. I paid at the table. The female server asked if I was paying by cash or card. I rarely have the former on me, so it was my credit card. I tipped and tapped, and thanked her for everything. Staff are so nice here. I'd come back just for the service alone. The food and drink were amazing, so I'm definitely a fan who wants to return for more good eats and drinks. I used the washroom before leaving this eatery. When you walk into this restaurant, the washrooms are straight ahead, followed by a right turn. It was cool seeing bowls of noodles being made by kitchen staffers as I passed by to get to the washroom. The women's washroom was spacious and clean. No complaints. I'm so glad that I finally dropped by this eatery. At least three restaurants have closed recently at The Origin. I'm glad that this one is still thriving. I'd love to grab a bite to eat after a movie or simply come here to enjoy good Hong Kong-style dishes. (214)

The macaroni soup was just okay, very much the kind of simple comfort food that fills you up, but nothing especially memorable. I was most excited for the signature beef sandwich, but it didn't fully meet my expectations. The burger/sandwich itself was smaller than I imagined, and it only had about 2-3 pieces of beef brisket inside with marinated bell peppers and their homemade sauce. The sauce leaned sweeter than expected, which might work for some people, but personally I was hoping for something more savoury and more generous with the beef. However, the brisket was tender, which was a win... ish. Overall, still a decent spot if you're craving classic HK cafe vibes and variety, especially for a casual meal with family.
