Came with 3 other ppl on a Saturday night at around 8 and it wasn't crowded at all, more than enough empty tables yet we still had to wait to be seated. We were seated and proceeded to explore the menu, on avg entrees were about $20 which isn't horrible. It was my sisters bday so we ordered her a drink, she chose the one with Barbancourt like a true haitian and she wasn't much of a fan. We had the fritay as an appetizer and it was amaze-balls, we added the tassot and did not regret it. The entrees on the other hand.....yea meh. My brother loved the boulette, I tried one and it was good, the rice was cool, he had a side of Mac and cheese, I was pretty indifferent about it. The Bday girl had the tassot which we already knew was good. My sister ordered the steak which came out about 20 mins after the 1st 2 plates and it was missing the plantain. I ordered the short ribs which came out 10 mins after the steak and it had no rice, just a ton of cabbage. Too bad our waitress was never anywhere in sight to address these issues. I ate my cabbage and short ribs which had more fat than meat so I didn't even have much of that to enjoy. All in all I spent over $150(they automatically include gratuity for parties over 4) for a meal that I stopped enjoying after the appetizers. My boyfriend LOVES Chloes. Like emphasis on Love. He comes to the HAITIAN parties and has fun so he speaks so highly of them. We went one day and had some drinks and ordered food which was okay but the service wasn't good, we didn't want to be bothered so we didn't make it a big deal. However. The following day. I came back to Chloes with the whole family. Me plus the in laws and when I say service was TERRIBLE. I MEAN TERRIBLE. We sat. We waited. We waited and we motherfu**** waited. We ordered honey garlic tenders as the appetizers as well as fritaille. The fritaille came. And only the lord knows where the tenders were. They came out 20 minutes later and were the WRONG thing. Then our food came a whole 30 minutes later. Everyone's food came out separately. And mine came last. I don't know if it's me but u have to bring everyone's food together. The soda was flat. I hated our waiter. He didn't even tell us his name but I'm pretty sure he's the only guy, if u have him please request a change. Jessica the host was the ONLY good thing about this restaurant. She's so friendly and welcoming you want to come in and sit. Everything else sucked. Jerk chicken too salty. Curry chicken half pink half white. Goat too hard. It just was a bad experience. This place probably has the worst service that I've ever experienced. Went for a friends birthday dinner and she did a prefix menu. However, there was no clear communication between the management and their workers because they claimed that they don't have a reservation for us. My friend put down a deposit and she had to explain who she spoke to and when. SO UNORGANIZED. The prefix menu had to be PRINTED AS WE WAITED. What kind of service is that? For the prefix menu, we got to order an appetizer and entree. One of the girls in our group was given frozen shrimp. Then after she complained they cooked it and it was BURNT!! We waited over an hour after ordering for our food. The food wasn't even great. I had Rasta pasta with grilled chicken and the chicken was burnt to the point where it was uneatable. I dabbled in the pasta but it was clearly a waste of my money. I would never go there again. read more

Firstly, where do I even begin?! This place is horrible!! I should have known when I walked to the entrance and saw that they had a "Grade Pending" since August on the front that the night wouldn't go well.My friend decided to host her birthday dinner here and had a total of 13 people, herself included. We sat down to a table with barely any utensils, no complimentary bread, nothing. Not even a glass of water!! The staff had no recollection of the pre-fixed menu that my friend drove all the way to Brooklyn to map out so she had to order everything all over again. Not to mention the space she had reserved for us as well. The waitress didn't offer us anything to drink and barely knew what was on the menu. We ordered our food at 9:00pm and didn't get the first appetizer (not entree) until after 10!! Half the group got their food and the other half didn't. I've never ate a place where the plates come out in 10 minutes intervals after waiting on it for an hour. One of the girls' shrimp in her appetizer was still frozen and when they brought it back it was burnt. My friend got her entree first and the rest of the food didn't come until about 20 minutes later. One of the guys didn't get his entree until almost 11 when the rest of us were already done eating. Also, we had to ask for simple things like napkins and ask for them to refill the "unlimited" soda, which was served in dirty pitchers. The customer service was highly unprofessional! We live close by and I was anxious to patronize local business. My husband hates this place because of the high price and below grade customer service, but I kept trying. I went a few times after work. I enjoyed the food, but have to now agree, the customer service is poor. Apparently, you have to be "in the club" to feel welcomed. And by in the club I mean know someone on staff personally and/or perhaps be Haitian just to get a drink in a timely fashion. Can't complain I had such an amazing server by the name of Raisa. Your restaurant experience isn't always just about the food. All the women make sure that we are always comfortable and well taken of. When you encounter with a server who approaches with a pleasant, warming, and welcoming attitude, it just enhances your experience. Compliments to the establishment on ensuring that customer service is their top priority. Positive attitudes and positive criticism can only provide growth. Perfection doesn't happen over night. Had dinner there with my honey this past Monday night. The music was nice, but a little loud for a quiet Monday evening. We both loved the deep, dark wood decor, and the classy, elegant bar set up (although we didnt order drinks for this particular meal). The waitress was terrific; a cheerful smile and a pleasant disposition. Friendly and welcoming. We both ordered the salmon; mine was the honey glazed. We also had the jerk chicken wings appettizer. While niether one of us were totally prepared for the spices involved, the wings were delicious. I do feel the waitress shouldve been a little more attentive to our water needs--there is no reason ever to have to ask for a refill, especially when cooking and serving spicy food. The honey glazed salmon was to die for--perfectly cooked, and an ample-sized piece. The seafood rice was freshly prepared, and was not skimpy on the seafood. First I must say the place is really nice. I heard the chicken with velvet waffle is good, but unfortunately my order was not good. The waffle was soggy the chicken wasn't cooked it turned my stomache. If youre hungry i suggest you go to Mcdonalds cause you will die of starvation. At first I was impressed with this new Haitian restaurant in the neighborhood. I was pleased that such a resaurant also was included in the delivery realm. Unfortunately that didn't last long. They aren't consistent. Some days they had someone and the next they didn't. Now there's no deliveries. Now I turned to the reliable restuarants: Chinese food. There's always someone to deliver. Take a page from them! There's a whole market that you aren't tapping into. I stopped ordering for a while. A few days ago I gave in and decided to order and this time pick it up. I ordered rice and sauce pois with legume wit h beef... $16! Are you serious??? I cancelled that order and went to KFC. They're not getting my business. They aren't accommodating their potential customers. That was the last stop for me.... a few months prior I found hair in my food and I called to complain. I just got an apology. .. nothing to lure me back in.... in spite of that, I still went back a few days ago and got this rip off price. I am always nervous about hosting events. Especially this time because, I decided that I did not want to be responsible of anything ESPECIALLY THE COOKING!!!! I was referred to Chloe's by a person of chance encounter and decided to check them out (with more research of course). In no way at all was I or my guests disappointed!!! The catering service was great!!!! The food was full of flavor, no skimpy servings with enough for "to-go" plates!!!! The staff was very courteous and respectful to my guests of 30ppl. The music, which was provided by an in house Dj, DJ Marz, was played and mixed to the standards of the setting. What I am saying is Chloe's was the place for my guests and I. Last night, I celebrated my friend's 25th birthday with a group of 24 people. The service was AMAZING. The waiter and waitress were very attentive, the food was AMAZING, and everything went perfectly. I also recommend the mango or peach Long Island. The drinks were strong. I hate criticizing black business and my own people but I gotta call a spade a spade. The girls at the bar were so nasty. Everybody gave me and my friends a "you can't sit with us " vibe. Everything they did was as if they were doing you a favor. When I bought a drink everyone had glass cups and she pulled out a tiny party cup and filled it up half way. Definitely a power move, she wanted to see if I would complain, but I let them keep my little coins, it's okay. Before that, they did rock paper scissors to see who HAD to serve us, because God forbid you actually have to do your job. We debated staying or not after the games they were playing but Haitian food is SO GOOD. I had to see what they had to offer. I'm not going to lie, the grio rasta pasta was BOMB. However, the portion was small for the price. Never visiting again, the location is almost inaccessible, crappy service paired with the good enough food is not worth it. At least the music you guys were playing was fun, no one can't take off the ads of the Spotify radio though? Unprofessional. Clearly, customer experience isn't a priority. Came here To celebrate and have a family gathering. A reservation was made for this restaurant over 4 weeks prior to this date for 12 people. On the day of our event as we walked into the restaurant were told that we didn't have a reservation, I questioned this because the week before my husband an I confirmed the reservation. When I spoke to the manager she said tuna there was a mix up with the reservation because another group of patrons had the same name my reservation was under. They were then scrambling trying to put tables together for my group. The apparent manager had a nasty attitude, I asked her would she be able to arrange our table in the back part of the restaurant. The manager or whoever she is told me "people who sit back there reserve the back section" I was so disgusted at that point. From that moment on things only got worse, my group increased from having 12 to 22 people. My best friend told them that and they never said anything about the number increase and if they can handle that big of a party. Mind you there was an already seated party under our reservation in which they mixed up. My best friend had to be in the back helping them to set up the table and chairs this is over an hour from our original reservation time. We were seated and waited for our orders to be taken, there were two small pitchers of water for a group of 22 people, mind you they never refilled the water the whole time we were there. We sat there after our orders were taken for two hours befor they threw 3 baskets off flat bread on our table, mind you everyone is starving and want there food. We then started becoming very upset that we were not being served our food. All of the waitresses had attitudes and kept ignoring us. The owner of the establishment kept walking around the restaurant and never came over to our table to ask us if everything was ok he basically was ignoring the situation. As the food started coming out we started to find out that they had started running out of food, there's only one piece of salmon left and mind you over 4 people in the group ordered that and they never had the curtesy to come out during the two hours that were were waiting to tell us this. They also ran out of two more items and did the same ting let us sit for two hour and said nothing. Did I say they "never" came back to refill our water pitchers and this is 3 hours now. The manager including the staff appeared to not care that we were unhappy with our experience in their restaurant. By the time I got my food I had a head ache and was so upset that I could not eat it. I have been to this restaurant many times prior and never had an issue withe the service or the food even after reAding many negative reviews. I will "NEVER" and I mean "NEVER" eat food fro here again. The staff appears to care less about their patrons or the way they treat them. Beware going to this restaurant or having a event, it is definetly not worth it. I don't care how the food is. There are plenty of other restaurants to go to. I came here once and I've never in my life seen worse business ethics! Walking in my initial impression of the place was good. Shortly after being seated right away and placing our simple orders of FRITAY, we had to wait 20-25 minutes for gross drinks!! After we got our drinks, a whole 2 hours of complaining to the waiter and asking for the manager, who was in a "meeting" at 10pm on a Sunday, went by before our food came. People who came after us with bigger orders got their food before us, and all we ordered was FRITAY! The place wasn't even busy! No one had an explanation! And they were extremely unprofessional! You can come here if you don't mind wasting your time and dealing with nonsense, but I will never come back here, nor will I recommend this place. La Caye is a lot better!!! So the ladies and I wanted to have a drink after work and we though about Chloe's since it wasn't too far from the job. Got in there and there was one chair available at the bar. We ordered drinks and Waited for another to become available. We then got two chairs. We were still waiting on a 3rd one since it was three of us. We noticed a chair at the corner with a coat on it and no one there. We asked the waitress if we could use it she said she wasn't sure. Mind you by this time around we all had our drinks and appetizers while my friend is still standing. One of the securities kept checking her out so we sent him on a quest for a chair. Came back unsuccessful. Apparently they had moved most of the chair to the back are for people to dine in while watching the basketball gave. What we are really disappointed of is the fact that there was a chair literally 2 feet away from us that wasn't being used at all while she was standing there sipping on her drink. We decided to ask for a manager. When she came around her response was although there's just a coat there best believe it is being used. She didn't empathized with the situation neither did she apologized. To say the least I'm very disgusted by what happened. You're telling me that it was ok to have a client that's spending money stand on her feet for an hour and a half at your business while there's a chair available with just a coat hanging in the Back of it. please people i warn you do not go go chloes. they have the worst service. i am close with one of the chefs and one of the waiters that work there and i have heard nothing but bad things. my personal experience was horrible on both occasions! my food not only took almost 45 mins to come out but there was nothing but bone in my tassot. when my food came out it was cold. i was told that chloes has a very large rat problem which is why their grade is still pending. their staff is always drinking on the job and are extremely rude and unprofessional. chloes owners are very stuck up and rude. i personally had a terrible experience with one of the managers named edle and one owner named uncy. this place is simply terrible and i always wish places good especially black owned buisness but this one is just terrible. there are so many other issues going on within the place. its just sad to see ambiance carried on by such a bad place! read more
