Came here for brunch on a Saturday and wasn't really impressed. It wasn't very busy, which should have been a sign. The waitress was nice, but the food was just not that great, honestly. It felt very low effort because there was too much hollandaise sauce in the egg benedict dish, and the hot Italian sausage sandwich had so much melted cheese that it was also excessive. Second time here in 4 years as family live in the area we were visiting. First time was during COVID, so I didn't rate them then but nothing has changed. Decor is outdated and all chairs are on wheels which is an accident waiting to happen especially for elderly people. Cleanliness: bathroom dusty, air vent full of dust, no soap (so I don't know how the employees are washing their hands). Food: terrible! The menu is so big you can tell the food will never be fresh and it wasn't as you can tell by everything having a freezer burnt taste including the ice cream so you know they ice cream had been there for way to long. Overly salted soup, Steak was bad meat, no one who ordered it ate it. Service: we had Chris as a waitress and she was great. Wouldn't go here again and wouldn't recommend. Scared for my family who did eat through the hazardous tasting food that they may get food poisoning or a parasite. Only thing good was the service from our waitress Chris. read more

Absolutely outstanding! The food was surprisingly wonderful, the service was top notch, the cheesecake was a light and fluffy dream....even the coffee was awesome. We've driven by this restaurant for years and never even thought of stopping. Now we are going to be frequent customers! The menu is HUGE. My husband and I both had paninis - one roast turkey and one roast beef - and they were over the top amazing. All sandwiches of every kind come with soup, fries, coleslaw and an enormous pickle, and the prices are SO reasonable. The bread is bakery fresh, too! Every time I go here my order is wrong and I have to go back and get it fixed. I don't know why I continue to go back but after this last time I will never return. I ordered a chopped shrimp salad, after returning home with my food I noticed( as usual my order is wrong or incomplete). There were 4 shrimp and almost all the the toppings were missing. No blue cheese, no olives, no pecans, no grilled chicken and three carrot shreds. It was just lettuce, cherry tomatoes, and onion. Does that sound like the menu item I asked for? This place is never consistent with their food, especially if you order for pick up. I've literally never had my order done correctly. Atmosphere: Chobani's is a well-maintained diner.  When you arrive, there are plenty of booths and tables.  They have plenty of desserts and do serve alcohol.  When I arrived, I was seated quickly.  There weren't that many people in the restaurant. Coffee: The coffee was good, but there was nothing unique or unusual.  The waitress refilled it once.  I could have used more, but it was probably better since I was on the road. Food: I wasn't sure what to expect for Chobani's because there isn't a lot of information online.  I wouldn't be surprised if they had 5 options to choose from or 10,000.  Chobani's has a massive menu, and you won't find anything missing.  Chobani's has plenty of breakfast, lunch, and dinner options.  There are specials too.  There about 15 different salads to choose from if you want a healthier route. I decided to order a cheesesteak which came with fries and soup.  The cheesesteak was massive and had plenty of meat.  The french fries were excellent.  They weren't great but not bad either.  Even though it was 95 degrees out, my chicken noodle soup was good as well. In all the food was good, and I would order it again. Overall Thoughts/Would I Come Back? I was pleasantly surprised with Chobani's and liked it a lot.  If you're looking for a quick stop near the Delaware Memorial Bridge, Chobani's is a good one. read more

Disappointing! We've been in many times since Chobani's opened; the first time was the best. We had a fun, interesting waitress who was willing to share all sorts of neat info about the place and how they did things. The food was good, and if I'd done a review then, it would have been between four and five stars. Since then, we'd go in maybe once a month, always with mixed results, usually two or three stars. Still, we kept hoping. The waitresses try to keep themselves detached from their customers. Once the food is served, they make a cursory stop (usually after it's too late to actually fix anything) to ask if everything is okay. They barely pause as they're going by. You'll need to remember exactly what you ordered, cease whatever conversation you're having when it arrives, and check what's been put in front of you because you'll be lucky to get someone's attention between that moment and the time the check hits the table. So...Christmas dinner, 2017. We missed the place where we were planning to go, as they'd closed early for the day. I was in favor of heading to Denny's, 'cause we'd already been to Chobani's a few days earlier, and, as usual, hubby couldn't get a refill of his iced tea. He needs to drink a lot of liquid when he eats, so this is a real problem. (I daresay that if he'd been drinking Long Island Iced Teas, the waitress would have been all over him, offering more refills than anyone needs.) I just didn't want any hassles on Christmas Day, and Denny's is reliable. Anyhow, they were jamming everyone on one side of the room, and I felt sorry for the people at the tables in the middle, like eating dinner in a bus terminal. I don't know why they did that; it's not like the staff EVER helps keep an eye on one another's tables. Thank goodness, there were enough of us that we got the large booth in the corner. The Christmas Specials list was easy to find, and listed at the top was Chicken Pot Pie. In an unwarranted fit of optimism, I dared to hope it was an actual individual chicken pot pie, like the little, round, two-crust pies that you can find in the freezer case of any grocery store, only homemade. None of us has had one for years, so that would have been very special. Three of us were interested in that, so we checked with both the owner and our waitress, separately, and were assured by both that it was the kind of pie with a top and bottom crust and filling in the middle. Most Disappointing Christmas Dinner EVER: I nearly cried when the food arrived, and our "two-crust pies" were nothing more than the usual south Jersey chicken and dumplings, only instead of many small dumplings, there was one large, commercially-produced slab of puff pastry swimming in the middle of the soup, and no evidence of a second "crust" anywhere. The waitress forgot all of the side veggies that were included. (Again, remember what you ordered; I don't know what they're doodling on those pads, but there seems to be little effort made to get your order right unless you keep after them.) The irony is that, if they'd only been honest about what their "chicken pot pie" was, all of us would have ordered something else, which would have been a little more expensive, so they not only cheated themselves, but they lied to customers for NO reason, generating really bad feelings and now taking credit for our worst Christmas dinner ever. Everyone was hustling, including the owner, who was busing tables and checking drinks, but if you looked closely, they often weren't accomplishing anything. Overall, it seemed more of a "look busy and they'll leave us alone" effort. He asked if Mom would like a refill on her coffee, we said "yes, please". It never arrived. Ever. Our waitress had to (at least once) have seen the empty cup and two empty glasses on the table, and never offered refills! That's, like, "Keeping Customers Happy 101", and they just don't care. You want refills? Sure. Go to a different diner. Hubby drank his one glass of tea that Chobani's permits, and didn't bother to try to get a second one, something that I've never seen him do: give up. I suspect that means that he's done with this place, too. We ended up with three differently-sized and shaped to-go containers, and the waitress never offered us a bag. I stacked them as efficiently as possible and started toward the door, and at that point was so angry and fed up that I wasn't concerned about dropping the whole thing right in the doorway. (Accidentally. I'm not angry and mean enough (yet) to do that on purpose.) Fortunately, the owner asked if I'd like a bag, which I gratefully accepted, and he filled for me. Maybe they believe that having a liquor license is all they need for success in Salem County, and they don't need to observe good customer service, and maybe they're correct. There certainly isn't much else for the working poor to do but eat, drink, and shop at WalMart. One star for the pointless lying. read more

I stopped here for a quick bite while running an errand. The hostess who greeted me was the best thing here. The decor is normal diner set up, noise level was good for having a conversation, but the food and server needs a lot of help. I'm not hard to please as a customer so long as the basics are met. My coffee was room temperature, the omelet was decent, but the home fries were cold, old and greasy. Now the sever was a different skip. She took the order, placed the food on the table, and delivered the check, that was it. She never asked if I needed anything or said hello. Need less to say I won't be coming back. read more

Went for breakfast when they first opened. Was very busy, breakfast was very good. Then a few weeks later went once again. Less crowded. Ordered french toast. Looked good on the menue, but what came out of the kitchen. Just fried white bread. No taste at all! Sent it back. Asked if they could put cinnamon in the batter. Came out with powdered sugar and cinnamon sprinkled on top. Still not made right. Come on guys get a cook. Anyone that cooks knows you make a batter of eggs, vanilla and cinnamon. This was definitely a pleasant surprise. The restaurant is comfortable and inviting. It has a small bar that looks to have a decent stock. The menu was large and this usually makes me nervous. They were short handed as most places seem to be lately, but incredibly they handled it extremely well. The waitress I had couldn't have been better. A man I believe was either the owner or manager was also directly involved and making sure everyone was taken care. Something I don't see much. I ordered the lasagna. My wonderful waitress brought out a very large salad. The salad was great. Onions, tomatoes and cucumbers, I'm sure there was more but that's all I can think of at the moment. I had blue cheese dressing and it was very good. The lasagna was great. The cheese was a high quality. There was lots of meat. And the sauce was exceptional. Not at all what I was expecting. I ordered some cannolis to go. I had to take half of my lasagna to go. I didn't have room for the cannoli but they looked to good to pass on. I was right. The Cannolis were out of this world. I've been to this diner twice.. first time I went we had great food and service. But I'm really disappointed this 2nd time and will not be returning.. I understand the need for employees and employees need to work but after going through a pandemic you would think certain measures would be in place with a sick employee. Me and my family went there 2 days ago and our waitress was visibly coughing and had a runny nose and not even at least wearing a mask. I sadly gave her the benefit of the doubt and considered she might be having allergies due to the season changing because why would she just expose herself to others when handling food this day and age without even wearing a mask. Needless to say, I should have gone with my gut and left but we stayed and that's a decision I regret I made because now I'm sick with a sore throat, congestion, and cough with a baby at home. I work from home and don't go out often, and very rarely treat ourselves out. These things shouldn't be happening. If the employee needs to work and feeling under the weather at least have a policy in place where masks and frequent handwashing and sanitizing is in place when they are sick. Especially in an establishment where they are around people often and handling food. Management should be enforcing this. I will no longer be returning. read more

My husband and I stopped here en route from the Jersey Shore to Pennsylvania. Having never stopped here before, we took a chance! --- and we're glad we did!! Our lunches were delicious and quite good. We couldn't believe that our meals included a bowl of soup, the sandwich and french fries, & cole slaw --- one entree was $5.99 and the other $8.99 with $1.99 drinks for a ridiculous $20 including tax. Stopped on my way on a multi-state road trip. The food was everything you could ask for and more for a local greasy spoon. The atmosphere was clean and welcoming with that appeared to be the owner walking around greeting people. I was there in May............there was a group of girls from high school....we meet once a month...we are in our 60s I ordered a roast beef sandwich.......I ate half of it and had to use the rest room... I decided anyway to take the rest home if though I got sick....... Needless to say ......I planned on eating the leftovers anyway the next day..........When I went to bite into my sandwich I found a very long hair....by the way, I have very short hair.... My wife ordered a burger and asked for medium rare. Came back cooked well done. She sent it back. The replacement came back the same. How hard is it to stick a meat thermometer in a burger and pull it of the grill. We were checked out by what I believe was one of the owners, they had been directing other staff, we mentioned the problem and nothing was done. No offer to take it off the check. After having lunch there, the next day I suggested to coworkers that we head out to Chobani's. After all, my salad the previous day was good. We enjoyed our meal that was not amazing but good lunch fare for the area and the price. Our problems arose upon leaving. There was obviously an issue with the credit card processing machine, but the cashier insisted the cards were declined. I don't understand how this could be since each of us in our party had our cards processed. The cashier would not accept a check and since we did not have cash on us, we had to go over to the local Walmart and use the same "declined" cards to get cash back at the register. Any business with good customer service would have offered something for the inconvenience, but this was not the case at Chobani's. Upon coming back and inconveniencing us, they offered nothing. For me, customer service is paramount. That is why people frequent restaurants. I will not return here and not because of the food, but I felt embarrassed by the cashier's behavior and slighted by management. read more

Visited Chobanis for the first time last night. Found friendly staff, good food and reasonable prices. Also found they have large portions. Met the owner who is very amicable. They may be having some growing pains as the grand opening is not until April. I recommend giving them a try. This restaurant has a sewer issue. You can smell the foul feces coming through the walls as soon as you walk in. I thought it may have been someone sick in the bathroom but the sewage was so strong when I opened the door I nearly vomited. Women were complaining that it was coming thru the ladies room walls. I have not felt well since I left the restaurant and its been nearly an hour. We mentioned it to the mgt and he lied and said he smelled nothing after we literally watched him go into the bathriom and spray BEFORE we complained of getting sick by the smell. The health department should be called because sewage gas that strong in a building that large can be fatal. If the mgt will lie about smelling that stuff, what else will they lie about concerning the food they serve. I hope they get the problem fixed. The wait staff was really nice and just kept apologizing, stating its been reported by others customers as well. The rotten smell hits you as soon as you walk in the restaurant's entrance door. I wasnt going to post a review and was going to offer to help but the mgt lied and it really upset me that people could get sick and the mgt said he was not going to address it. They should offer pan fries or some other kind of potatoes for those of us that do not enjoy that type. Overall the service was just ok.
