It's a cool little spot in West Los Angeles. There's some street parking on the side of the place and a lot across the street. Came here late at night with some friends and wanted to try some of the stuff they served. The workers were nice when we ordered. I'd say the things we ordered, were super super sweet! Most of us did the build-your-owns and the options were between crepes, waffles, 10 mini pancakes and pancakes with add-ons. I got a Ferrero Rocher shake and a Nutella waffle with Cookie Butter Crumbs and holy, I knew I would have a headache later or something. It was so so sweet but delicious at the same time. Surprisingly it was also a decent price for these items so I'd say I was impressed by some of it. Really sad they didn't have crepes at the time we visited so I'm considering coming back again to try it out next time! read more

We have been eyeing this place for awhile and decided to come in for a treat one afternoon and we were so happy with our experience! We had the Turkish coffee, the banana roll, ice cream and the krispie sundae. The Belgian chocolate they use is excellent! They carry only strawberry, chocolate and vanilla for ice cream flavors but an excellent choice of flavored cones as well. I am a banana head so of course I got the banana roll, banana in a crepe and chocolate. YUM. The girl working was great I meant to mention her here! But this place is open til 2a on weekends and she said they have regulars that drop in late and it's alot of fun. I love that a dessert shop like this can do so well and they have a great variety of treats. My friend said she will def get the sampler platter for a Valentine's day. I want to try the shakes and waffles next. Go and sit or take it to go, great sweets!! read more

My friend and I were craving a sweet treat and we were happy that they were opened late since it was past 10pm. We both decided to build our own crepe. I ordered a crepe with a light layer of Belgium chocolate, strawberries, and a scoop of ice cream. It hit the spot! We also tried the Turkish coffee which, oddly enough, paired well with the vanilla ice cream. The only thing was that the cashier wasn't very helpful in answering my questions as a new customer. They package the items in nice little to-go boxes and have both indoor and outdoor seating. Definitely on the pricey side compared to other places I've been to. read more

Over priced is an understatement. Tiny cup with barely any chocolate. It took forever to make and didn't even taste great. Not to mention it was SOOOO dirty! The employees were eating their sushi dinner at one of the tables and didn't even wash their hands before going back to work.there was trash everywhere and a dirty black residue on the floor. read more

I tried the Dubai chocolate strawberries at Chocolate Bash, and they did not disappoint. The strawberries were fresh and juicy, and the chocolate was rich, smooth, and perfectly layered without being too sweet. You can tell a lot of care went into the presentation and flavor--it felt very luxe and indulgent. Overall, it was a great balance of sweetness and quality, and definitely worth trying if you love dessert that feels a little extra. read more

DON'T order from this place. By far the WORST chocolate covered strawberries I've ever had. The strawberries were green, not ripe, SOUR and hard. How could a business even allow this?? Especially when they charge so much. The entire box was like this! So it wasn't just one bad strawberry... Not to mention, the chocolate isn't good quality. Chocolate Bash is a wonderful sweet place to get your sweet tooth on in the Pico District of West Los Angeles. We stopped here near Valentines Day, and got our sweet tooths on some Chocolate strawberries and candy locks. Place is fun to have a sweet tooth. Kind of a hidden gem between Overland and Pico. Expensive place and small portion goodies, but i still love it. read more

I'm not really into high carb dessert but the fruity dessert here was great! The chocolate was thick and tasted good. I had nutella and Belgium chocolate in each dessert. They're delicious. Fruit was mostly fresh, some of the pieces were not as new but most of the fruit was great. Drinks were too sweet. Plenty of street parking nearby. read more

Nice dessert spot opened until late. My friends and I found ourselves in a spot of craving desserts after having some late night Mexican dinner. Literally around 11pm everything was closed beside this spot. This Chocolate Bash is located in West LA, so sometimes it can be hard to find a parking spot. But at 11 pm we didn't really have any difficulty. The inside is filled with pictures of chocolates and they even have a display container of European chocolates. I was so happy to see a Milky Bar there! I ended up doing a build your own and got a crepe, with Belgian(white, milk and dark chocolate combined) chocolate, Oreo crumbles, and strawberries(to make it somewhat healthy lol). The crepe just melts in your mouth leaving a sweet taste of premium chocolate and a nice crunch of cookie to complement it. If you are ever craving dessert and happen to be nearby then definitely stop by! The employees are super kind and will help guide you through their menu :) read more

I just want to say how disappointed I am on this visit I'm not from LA so I drive almost 3 hours to get here because I'm hearing so many great reviews I've gone to another one previously and it was great it was 10.15 cent so when I get here and they charge me 15 I was in disbelief and I don't mind the price but also the employee was super rude didn't even say hey didn't even say here you go just throw it over the counter didn't even take it to the side where you pick up super disappointed in this place read more

First and foremost, I came across this place because I was craving dessert in the late hours of the night. I could not believe that this place closes at 2 am, I was super happy about that! They did not have chocolate dipped strawberries at the time so the next best thing the worker recommended, was the strawberry's on a stick. The strawberries were super fresh, and sizable! If you're a chocolate fanatic, be sure to give this place a try. read more

Ordered the sampler platter and wasn't told that the toppings cost extra (keep that in mind!) but thoroughly enjoyed it! Would recommend the crepes (as many others say). I also loved the mini pancakes but found the waffles lackluster in comparison with those two. Parking Lot for $1/hour is available across the street. They had both outdoor and indoor tables available but the restroom was closed. Additionally, when I went to ask for a bag because we didn't finish our sampler, I was accused of taking someone else's latte instead of what we ordered. The man behind the counter then insisted we ordered the cookie butter latte when we ordered the dark chocolate mocha. The woman behind the counter intervened and we were able to get a bag after a few minutes. Overall, solid desserts, the traffic in the store comes in waves and I would recommend going when you see less people inside for better service read more

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR YOUR MONEY!!! Their hours on Saturday are 12PM-1AM (the next day). I placed an order at 1:15PM. Five minutes later, Chocolate Bash unceremoniously - and without so much as a phone call providing a reason (known in some parts of the world as customer service) - canceled my order. Seriously, they've run out of strawberries in an hour after opening? Or did they just not bother to stock them? Or are they out of chocolate? LOL! With Valentine's Day just around the corner? Or, perhaps they're simply too lazy to fill the order (one albeit expensive item). One of the reviews here did mention a staff member who was annoyed at the prospect of making a dozen chocolate-covered strawberries. Maybe it's for the better, as I was willing to take a chance, despite reading the negative reviews here. Well, enjoy another one. Saves me money; loses you money. I do recall stepping into the store on a couple occasions, when the staff ignored me for some time, before finally coming over and telling me they're out of stock (sound familiar?). And I was the ONLY customer in the store (no surprise, considering the reviews here). Why bother opening a store if you're consistently out of stock on the most common item you offer? Within one hour after opening? Seriously, give up the real estate to someone who knows how to properly operate and manage a business. If business owner Tim C bothers to reply to this review, he'll most likely respond, "Thank you for choosing Chocolate Bash. Try to order earlier next time next time and we will be happy to prepare your order" or some such nonsense. Well, Tim, I hope you're good at holding your breath, because there won't be a "next time". And reading the other business owner, Rasha's responses to the negative reviews is both entertaining - particularly if you like Keystone Comedies - and telling. She's clearly out of touch with her customers. Her responses are absolutely empty and meaningless. They sound like she doesn't give a damn about her customers. She appears to project an attitude that basically parrots, "We do it our way. You don't like it, too bad." Even when others post nasty photos of the disgusting food, she seems clueless and refuses to acknowledge or address the elephant in the room. And when so many people complain about thick, hard crepes smothered in Nutella; stale, misformed strawberries; watered-down milkshakes (with ice, really?); oily, cheap chocolate ... and the list goes on, there has to be some truth there, right? I guess I'll be going to Ralphs to buy chocolate covered strawberries for my elderly mother's birthday. I hear their chocolate is better, anyway, and at a fraction of the price! And their strawberries are fresh. read more

They are open till 1am convenient for a late night craving. This chocolate covered strawberry cup was $14.22 (plain chocolate and strawberry no add ons) and is super small compared to other pastry business's. I'd say it's over priced. The chocolate hardened before I drove off, which defeated the whole purpose of the desert. Since the strawberries were stored in a refrigerator for so long the chocolate hardened very fast. The strawberries were fresh but I have had better chocolate covered strawberry cups! read more

Love this place, prices are a tad high. I've ordered Uber Eats twice from here and the strawberry cups that get delivered are hard as rock. It's supposed to be chocolate drizzle but it comes hard because I've seen they throw everything in the fridge when orders wait for delivery. Please stop doing this. I'd love to eat the strawberries with MELTED or DRIZZLED chocolate not a huge rock of chocolate. Microwaving also doesn't work because the fruit gets weird. read more

My wife ordered a crepe with strawberries inside. She liked it very much. I ordered the cream puff bites with Belgian chocolate. They were good. So I decided to go ahead and find a cup of thick, and rich cocoa to hit me with holiday splendor, the kind that can re-assemble Frosty after his final melt. My friend Conrad and I were the duo who ventured to ChocoVivo to try chocolate, on chocolate, on chocolate, with some water on the side. ChocoVivo is in Culver City. The place itself is on Washington Blvd amidst some bars, and eateries. This place lends itself to be a dessert spot, an experience for chocolate lovers and those who are not, and anyone who just wants to experience the taste of chocolate in-depth and in odd luxury. As soon, as I entered, I made a beeline for the counter. I was overwhelmed with all the chocolatey choices: pastries, drinks, squares, with the list continuing exhaustively, it even included a chocolate skull that might serve better as decoration than a treat. I excused myself and went to use the restroom, I dared not ask questions to understand my options, when my bladder was full. I might make rash decisions, due to my inability to focus. And with so many options in front of me, I wanted to sample what was right and balanced for me. I wanted to sample chocolate, I just did not just want to taste chocolate. My trip to the facilities was a small adventure in itself. I passed a room with a man working on his laptop. But the room, seemed to be, like a Sultan's rest-room. It had pillows, hanging lamps, and a cream like colored that reminded me of sun-kissed sand. I clipped the room. There is a Minion (from Illumination fame) chilling in one of the couches. Another picture shows, a fishing net (maybe) with make-shift clouds pouring out of it, also leafs and butterflies. It seemed to be the remains of a shipwreck but it also held decorations that could have made the space more beautiful. I believe, and I could be wrong, of course, that this room used to be functional. A place to lounge, and see beauty, while enjoying chocolate. Now it was a forgotten room, whose purpose never fulfilled, and thus had stuff scattered around. I am sure, everyone can relate to that feeling, of getting stuff for an imagined room that never quite materializes and thus the room becomes storage, more than anything. Kondo deliver us! After, I came to the cashier, I ordered a hot chocolate. Conrad made a point, that the hot chocolate I ordered was not the European sipping hot chocolate that I had talked about on our car ride there. He then. made a point, that I should read a menu and then ask questions. I ask questions, as I read the menu. I eventually, ordered two hot chocolates, (one for him and one for me) and then we sampled 12 chocolate squares--- a sampler. The total was close to 60.00 dollars so this is an experience that is not going to the local mart and buying a Hershey's bar. The 12 chocolate samples were just great and enough, there were bigger samples, which I considered buying, but the price deterred me. The one that I got was super appropriate for both of us, by the end I was enjoying slightly by force, I mustered the strength to finish the half marathon. The full marathon would have tapped me out. The samples came with a card. Conrad was the one who was consulting the card, so we could not what chocolate we ate. It was truly fun, to be with someone who read of the information of the card, and then we tried to identify the taste as the card described. I wish I would have taken a picture of the card, but honestly, I am more of a determine by taste taster than a person who wants to be informed of what he is tasting, to know what he is tasting. I do remember the worst tasting chocolate we tasted--- it had black tea infused into it, I do not remember its cacao percentage, each chocolate had a cacao percentage. The hire the percentage, the sweeter the chocolate. The black tea had this earthy and tea taste that was profound. I guess imagine tasting. a black tea without sugar that is kind of the taste I struggled with. I am glad I tasted this chocolate, however, because it was part of the whole experience. I did not drive to the beach and endure a pothole, I drove to the beach and was both intrigued and jolted by the bounce that the pothole produced. Some chocolates I really enjoyed, the hot chocolate was goodness in a cup. The chocolate sampler also came with an espresso that was split into two cups. I was provided a knife to cut each chocolate. I put the knife in the center with one arm, and use the other hand to pierce the chocolate. My halfs were not perfect. Sometimes Conrad got the bigger half square, sometimes I did. I annotate all this so one knows that when you visit ChocoVivo you will need to work, if you want to split those chocolates, but the work was part of the fun!

After all, the chocolate croissant was the primary reason for going. Now for the negatives: Management should figure out a way for more than one person to take orders and box them up. Even Mom & Pop donut shops often have multiple people taking orders. And Porto's has it down to a science. It would go a long way toward clearing the line faster. My second issue was the price. Basically, they seem to focus on Dubai chocolates and have some imported goods from Lebanon. While I trust that they make chocolates daily, I have to question how much, what flavors, and what is being turned over, because the sample I ate and the chocolates I opened up later certainly had obvious chocolate bloom, and yes they were stored at an appropriate temperature and eaten on the same day. At the price these pieces were, they certainly shouldn't have chocolate bloom nor taste like old chocolate. The filling of their Dubai bar was nice, crunchy, and moist, but the exterior chocolate shell didn't really have a taste. I am fine with paying a premium for premium-tasting chocolate and often do it, but I would have preferred eating grocery store chocolate, honestly. I'm not sure what others are tasting or whether people reviewing TAWDI are actually into chocolate, but I was disappointed when I didn't enjoy these.
