I really enjoyed this spot! From the moment I walked in, I could see how much care they put into maintaining their establishment here. It was so clean! I ordered a chocolate milkshake and the service was awesome! I remember the employee scooping up the chocolate ice cream and dropping the scoops in a blender. It interested me and made me wonder what all the other ingredients were in this amazing beverage that I finished in less than 10 minutes! It was all topped with whipped cream and certainly brightened my day! I am excited to go back to try something else! read more

I can't believe I forgot to review this place. I saw the picture of pepinos locos on the sign and I had to try. I'd never have it before so I just told them to put everything. I'd probably tell them not to put the string candies next time but I'm glad I tried it. My favorite bites had the Japanese peanuts. We also tried the sandwiches, ham and Cecina. The strawberries and cream agua fresca was also delicious. They also have a good selection of ice cream. We left so stuffed. This place would be absolutely refreshing on a hot day. Delicious paletas made with fresh ingredients and traditional Oaxacan flavors. Our family loved the fruit and chili paletas and were impressed with the chunks of fresh fruit. Pros: ice cream, location. I had tried the paleta a while ago and it wasn't my favorite but I decided to give the ice cream a try. The workers are friendly and they have a good variety of paletas, Aguas, ice cream, and snacks. The workers were very friendly and allowed us to try different flavors. I got a small ice cream (~$5.50) and combined the gansito and blackberry flavors. The ice cream texture is creamy and not too sweet which I loved. The small cup was a great serving and I look forward to coming back to try new flavors. read more

I was craving tostilocos which is tipically made w/a bag of tostillcos (round seasoned tortilla chips), cueritos (sliced picked pig skin, trust it's tangy & yummy) diced cucumber & jicama, Japanese peanuts (cacahuate japonés) and small bits of tamarind candies which I don't like in my tostilocos so I omit and everything is drizzled in chamoy, lemon juice, super yummy! I would not recommend going Monday through Friday around 3pm. There are lots of schools in the area and it can get very loud and crowded. That being said, they have lots of items to chose from and it all looks so good!!! I only got the esquite but it was great! I have many friends who have tried and recommend various other items and I'll definitely be back for desert sometime! The establishment is clean and everyone makes themselves busy to ensure your order is made right and in a timely manor. Prices are not bad either! read more

10/10! This place has many options of homemade ice cream and paletas that look and taste amazing. I got the mangonada and elote and my boyfriend had the cookies and cream ice cream, both were delicious. The man helping us was quick and helpful. The decor is straight from Mexico, there are many seating options and music playing. I would recommend coming here if you're looking for authentic mexican treats. read more

I went in today at 3:30 pm I ask for a chicharrón preparado with mayonnaise instead of cream I got my order but I'm pretty sure they use cream I went back and I told them this is not what I ask for and I told them I wanted one with mayonnaise so one of the girls told me that i have to pay half the price if I wanted one more so my question is how the hell i have to pay again if it was their mistake she also told me to toss the chicharrón so she can tell her boss that I was the one who toss it away i didn't get any refund I pay with cash read more

For starters the ice cream is really good, but the service here is so terrible. The ice cream was so good that my friend wanted to order a large amount for an event he was having, he asked one of the employees who happened to be the owner and he was extremely nice and ready to put a same day order when his wife came and started yelling at him that he couldn't do that. She said the order had to be days in advance and she was just so extremely rude. Their dynamic is so weird, he looks like he's scared of her and it was just such an extremely awkward situation!! When she left, her husband apologized and told my friend he'd give him his card so he could contact him for future events, which was kind of him but the experience was so uncomfortable! read more

Came here on a Saturday night. We had milk based ice cream and water based ice cream. Everything was delicious. The service was great. Definitely recommend this place. Someone else posted here that you cannot have two flavors in one cup. That is not true. I had two different flavors and so did my husband and the scoops were a good serving size. Also, this is not a coffee shop so don't go in expecting amazing coffee, this is a handmade ice cream shop, not a Starbucks! read more

I tried this place -- directly across from the brand-new Target -- for the first time tonight, and all I can say is: this spot is SUPER AWESOME AND DELICIOUS AND RAD! I'd walked by several times since it opened a few months ago, but hadn't ventured inside yet. Tonight it was pretty warm outside, and the thought of some cool ice cream sounded legit, so I went for it. Inside I found a bright, immaculate, welcoming, Oaxacan-style ice cream parlor/fresh juice bar, which also serves food, including traditional sandwiches and Oaxacan-style snacks. A massive array of ice cream flavors were displayed in freezer cases directly ahead as I walked in. The ice cream looked super classy and homemade, exactly like the gelato you'd see in an Italian ice cream parlor. Next to the ice cream case was a massive case of "paletas" (popsicles), in every imaginable flavor. I ordered one scoop of the coffee ice cream in a standard wafer cone, and it was delicious! While I was there, I watched several different people from all walks of life come in to order as well, and all left happy and refreshed on this warm West L.A. evening. I highly recommend this place to everyone on the Westside who finds themselves in need of some refreshment, and I plan to come back here regularly! read more

If I could give zero stars I would..... just because it was 8:45pm the ladies working here gave me and my whole family a terrible customer service..... I purchased over 45 dollars of ice cream and one of my kiddos didn't like one of the flavors and they said they would put if back if it was untouched.... HOW NASTY to think of that they would even consider returning ice cream back to their original container. DISGUSTING! read more

We also got prepared hot Cheetos and the Esquites (corn on the cob) is a highly recommend treat. The place is clean and colorful, recommended for kids and fun dates. holy smokes! I needed something refreshing after sitting in traffic and the sign outside featuring an awesome looking Mangoneada drew me in. Either the one in the picture was an understated version, or I am really just blind- as what I got was insanely awesome! Besides the typical stuff normally found in a Mangoneada, this one had chunks of candied Tamarindo, chili strawberry gummy stringy things, and a tamarind straw (like a Boba straw but slathered in MORE candied Tamarindo I would have photographed it first but I didn't want to delay my enjoyment any further. They both complemented each other fabulously since the Daisy Chains flavor has pink frosting and sugar cookies in a vanilla base, whereas the apple cider donuts flavor has a lot of cinnamon and some caramel adorned inside. I also have routinely skipped out on their waffle cones -- a crime because they taste superb and smell even better. It holds a surprisingly generous amount of ice cream and doesn't melt so long as you stay inside or are not in hot weather.

I would give it zero stars if i could one lady who served me had a very bad attitude . I got a small vanilla cone for my 3 year old son he had trued soccer shoes next door so he hd his shoes off and set them on the table . She yelled at me to remove them which i did . Anyways dont they dont disinfect the tables after each use regardless plua they were sitting on top of a bag not even on the table . She handed the ice cream i asked for a cup also in case gets tired of holding the cone she gave a disgusted look and handed me very small drinking cup that couldnt even hold the cone . I said can i please have an ice cream cup ? She reluctantly gave me the cup then i asked for a spoon ! Again she like rolled her eyes and gave me a spoon . Later i had to come up to ask for a napkin . I mean just basic things . She rudely told me they were in a dispenser behind me . Ok then i grabbed one . My 3 year old son was ready to leave and was darting towards the door i got and rushed out after him considering its a busy street. As im walking out she yelled at me to throw away my trash in the trash can !! All it was was the empty cup he never used . Im usually mindful to help clean up but my son was leaving and didnt think it was the proper way to treat a customer . She yelled at me hey the trash can is over there! I was like what ? Shes like ya clean up your trash !! Im not gona risk throwin a cup into the trash and let my 3 year old run outside alone . So i had to pick up my son bring him inside and then throw away this empty cup on the table . I asked for her name she said it was her privacy and she was gona tell me . I mean she is an employee there and none of them had name tags i said you work here so its not really private . Eventually some man came out saying he was " sort of " the manager and i talked to him . The whole experience was very awful and I would never go back . Less than 30 seconds after ordering, we noticed they had an option with ice cream and asked if we could switch. At that point, his attitude noticeably changed and he seemed bothered, saying it would cost more. I told him that was fine, I'd pay the difference -- at that point we were already over $20 anyway. When we finally received the crepe, it was actually a regular, small size -- nothing like what was described -- and he still insisted on charging an extra $2. We didn't have cash, only card, and as a business owner myself, I know it's not practical to run a card for such a small amount, so he let it go after we explained. The main issues: * Prices are not clearly listed -- customers shouldn't have to guess. * Charging $20+ for a basic crepe is already high, then asking for even more is frustrating. * If a customer wants to make a quick change right after ordering, it shouldn't be treated like a problem -- especially when they're willing to pay. * Being in a tourist area doesn't justify taking advantage of people who may not ask prices upfront. Overall, not a great experience due to pricing and customer service.
