So nice to know that there is a mexican ice cream/ snack shop. I drove here specifically for their tostilocos. Ive been craving some ever since moving to this area. Very happy to know that they have many mexican snacks, foods and ice creams. Next time im coming back for a torta!

Delicious paletas made with fresh ingredients and traditional Oaxacan flavors. Our family loved the fruit and chili paletas and were impressed with the chunks of fresh fruit. The strawberry paleta stole the show and I was especially pleased that it wasn't overly sweet. We will definitely be returning the next time we visit Santa Monica!

Pros: ice cream, location. I had tried the paleta a while ago and it wasn't my favorite but I decided to give the ice cream a try. The workers are friendly and they have a good variety of paletas, Aguas, ice cream, and snacks. The workers were very friendly and allowed us to try different flavors. I got a small ice cream (~$5.50) and combined the gansito and blackberry flavors. The ice cream texture is creamy and not too sweet which I loved. The small cup was a great serving and I look forward to coming back to try new flavors.

What a cute place! Located across from target. Street metered parking only so not very convenient. Very friendly owners/staff. They have all kinds of delicious ways /options to get sugar into your bod!! They allow you to sample. Lots of cool interesting flavors!

Fresa con crema (strawberries and cream). They use real fruit too!

Love this place. Amazing selection of ice cream and paletas (popsicles). They have mangonada as well. Big fan of the paletas... fresa con crema (strawberry and cream), mango, passion fruit and pistachio.

Amazing authentic Oaxacan deserts!! Plus the staff of all very sweet! I've been to oaxaca and it really feels like I'm eating ice cream straight from the motherland! Plus on the day I went they had Tejate which is a Oaxacan delicacy, so you already know I HAD to get it! It's considered the drink of the gods in Oaxaca pre Hispanic times It's like a masa drink so it's a very filling beverage! If they have it! TRY IT!

Cheetos and Nacho cheese! Takes me back to middle school in the 90's!

Excellent! All homemade! Tastes like you're in Mexico - super legit! Better than all those overpriced hipster spots...

The place is super small and no line, but the flavors were plentiful. I forget what they do, but you can get a combo of flavors in a single scoop. Then, an eternity ago, it closed and we were sad. Then Long Beach Creamery opened and we weren't that sad for that long, but still, I absolutely still thought about them every once in a while, sad that they'd left. Then, a much closer eternity ago (about a year ago - I've been super burned-out and not finishing my reviews), I was on my way from an event back to the blue line and walked by and noticed that they had, in fact, just moved. So obviously we had to get some. Verdict - yes, it absolutely was as good as I remembered. I wouldn't go back to DTLA just for ice cream, Long Beach Creamery being walking distance and wonderful, but I would absolutely stop here if I were back in DTLA and wanted ice cream. It's a bit pricey, but all craft ice cream is going to be, and it is definitely craft. And you can save a lot by getting a 3-scoop, which is very much enough to share for two people, if not slightly too much.

My boyfriend tried the vanilla soft serve with Nutella filled Aboong. The warm fish against the cold ice cream created a great mix of textures and flavours, but once the fish is gone the ice cream itself is just ok. The taiyaki, in my humble opinion, are the winners. The Oreo taiyaki was absolutely delicious! It came out super fresh, they filled both the body AND tail with Oreo so every bite had a great ratio of chewy fish and filling. This location always fills their Taiyaki evenly which I appreciate, it's much better than the ones I've tried in Sawtelle. It's really affordable too, so definitely come try it.

The restaurant is small and tables are situated as best they can with one blocking the employee only door. The manager worker, pushing a cart told me that I was blocking this way and he needed to get him to the entrance. I proceeded to get up and allow him to move the chair where he wanted to. He told me well. I'm gonna be coming back back-and-forth as if to say don't sit back down. Another customer witnessing the exchange move the chair so that he could get in and out. When he came back out, he points to the chair and say you can sit down now. Customer service needs everything to me to include management having a responsibility to the customer that support their business. I just feel that if I were Asian, he wouldn't have addressed him in that way.

They have so many locations and only wish they had more. The closest to me is about 20mins away but it's worth the drive every time. I love this location especially. Always such friendly staff and never have to wait in a long line. Basically, if you're a newbie, you go in and ALWAYS as for the "seasonal flavors" for tasting. They give you tasters on silver spoons and you drop it down this hole when you're done. It's literally their culture to give you a taste of everything on their seasonal menu so don't skip out on this experience. It's the best way to try their ice cream. FUN FACT: they also have 1-2 flavors that are considered "last chance" flavors which means they are about to run out so get it before it's gone. Each month I go in to try another tasty flavor and it never disappoints but I am sometimes that girl who tries the new stuff but ends up getting her usual order (chocolate brownie) and am always happy. Just the smell of sugar cone alone when you walk in gets you hooked. The atmosphere is just so welcoming. Don't be intimidated by the many flavors to choose from because there are a lot. I like to get their double scoop in a waffle cone, but they also have awesome split scoop options for those more adventurous and want to try multiple flavors in one scoop. Saves you for when you're keeping your sugar levels down. There are usually always places to sit inside or outside so you can enjoy your goodies right away.
