The crew arrived on time every day, kept the worksite clean (they did a full cleanup at the end of each day), and treated my property with respect throughout the project. The quality of the installation itself was top-notch--exactly what you want when you're investing in something as critical as your roof. A special callout to Dylon, the project manager. His communication was exceptional--clear, proactive, and consistent. He stayed directly involved throughout the job, which made a big difference in ensuring everything went smoothly. It's rare to see that level of hands-on management. They also handled the solar panel dismount and reinstall flawlessly, which is not a trivial task. Even though I'm now upgrading my system due to the NEM 3.0 transition, their work made that process seamless. Post-installation support has been just as impressive. They've continued to be responsive and helpful, especially coordinating around my new solar project--something many companies tend to disappear on after the job is done. Pricing was very reasonable for the level of quality and service provided. And as a bonus--no nonsense on the job site. Unlike some other crews I've seen in the neighborhood, these guys were professional the entire time. Bottom line: excellent workmanship, strong communication, fair pricing, and a team that clearly takes pride in what they do. Highly recommended.

So I developed a roof leak at our home and the existing roof was at least 25 years old so it was now time for roof replacement! I did my research and contacted the owner Troy whom was very thorough and informative during our conversation and he answered all of my concerns. The next step was to have my roof inspected, address any concerns and formulate an estimated cost for recommended repair. The estimator Dylon spent nearly 45 minutes performing a complete and thorough inspection. I have solar panels and gas lines mounted on our roof which complicated the roof replacement process. Good news is San Diego County Roofing (SDCR) partners with a great solar company and therefore de-activating the solar system, solar panel(s) removal, replacement and re-activation of the solar system is all taken care of through SDCR. Also SDCR warranties all work provided by their partnering solar company. I chose SDCR to replace my roof and what a great decision it was. I was updated and kept informed through each and every step of of the roof replacement process. I had some wood issues (rotting, worn out etc...) and the cost for the wood replacement was very reasonable. Tarps were laid out to cover our pool and artificial turf and after each day the residence was thoroughly cleaned of debris. Edgar the supervisor was always available whenever I had any questions or concerns. Also Dylon was always "Keeping tabs" with the progress and kept me informed of any issues and offered options when applicable. I felt very comfortable knowing that Dylon was always "on top" of things! Upon completion of the job, Juan invited me to view the new roof replacement and informed me of all that had been done and answered all of my questions and concerns. He even explained that my flat roof section of the garage had 2 sheets of "roofing" (know as "torch down") installed as compared to 1 sheet of roofing which most roofing companies provide, something I wouldn't have known. Everything was great and I was extremely satisfied EXCEPT one big problem! Apparently during the process of replacing my roof, a section of my newly installed artificial turf in the front of my house became damaged. I contacted Troy to discuss this big concern not knowing what to expect. After our discussion he instructed me to have the turf replaced and that I would be reimbursed for any and all cost. I had the artificial turf replaced at a cost of $2,200 and true to his word troy had a company check in the amount of $2,200 sent to my house within (1) week. So rest assured SDCR will give you phenomenal service. The company is professional, honest and transparent every step of the way from start to completion. This company has proved should something go wrong, they will make it "right". I highly recommend SDCR and I'm so glad I made the right choice! You should make the right choice too!

I have also referred him at least 15 times and always got positive feedback. I'm an estimate kind of girl...and also a walk on the roof with the estimator kind of girl. After walking the roof about 5 times with different companies, I settled on Old Fashion Roofing. Top to bottom he was the guy I wanted to work with. Walking through 5 estimates, you learn a lot and you start to learn what the consensus is for a quality job without unnecessary upselling. You also learn what questions to ask to really test someone's knowledge. Old Fashion Roofing was communicative at every step. I am able to communicate with Bambi through email and get quick responses. I can get ahold of Billy Ray by phone, same with Jose. On that first job, the crew did a great job. The tear off was unbelievably fast AND THE CLEAN UP that was promised actually happened. Every day. Including with magnet sweep which was very important to me because I have dogs. The install happened exactly as described when it was scheduled. Billy came back himself to walk me through maintenance I could do myself and how to keep this flat roof in good shape. He has since performed maintenance on commercial properties and repairs and replacements for me on other rental homes. Most recently, last week, Jose came out for an inspection. This was after 3 days of uncharacteristic rain in San Diego and he still made the time to come out the next day. Jose was on time (early in fact and patient when we he had to wait for the scheduled time), communicative, clear, and thorough. He spent 45 minutes on the roof with me going over everything. Because of the specialty roof and special order flashing, he said it would take a couple days to get the estimate. He said by Monday and I got the estimate on Monday. In my 12 years using Old Fashion Roofing, I have never been let down nor have I found a workmanship issue. That is incredibly hard to do in this business. There's a reason I don't have to get 5 estimates any more. I have a go to that I trust and have confidence in.

I called Paul and within 45 minutes he and a crew of 2 men were at my door. Paul came in to see what was occurring then went up on the roof to investigate. He found a large crack in the concrete chimney cap that was allowing rain to penetrate and flow down the outside of the firebox and down to the hearth. There was no roof leak at all. Paul had his crew wrap the chimney with plastic and gave me instructions on the necessary repairs. I highly recommend Paul and Cert-a-roof for their quality work and customer care. I scheduled an…read moreappointment for Them to come look at my roof and see where the leak is and I obviously need to get something repaired and probably an entire section of my roof re-done. I received an email confirmation and have been patiently waiting through all the rain this week. Almost a week later, after DAYS of rain, living with a tarp on my floor, moving furniture, and waiting for Monday, they call to cancel. I received a call today, a few days before the appointment, that we are out of their service area and it wouldn't be cost effective for them to come. First of all, this is extremely unprofessional....even a little restaurant or pizza place would determine if you are in their delivery area. They had my address at the time I made the appointment and it was included on my confirmation email. This would seem like a basic business practice to see if I am in their area and at the very least I would expect a call immediately to cancel and not after almost a week of waiting. At this point, I thought I had an appointment and someone would be able to repair my roof soon. If I had known they wouldn't do so I would have been calling other companies during this week if downpour. I feel that this is their fault/oversight and they should have honored the appointment and done some staff training for whomever answers the phone. I guess I probably dodged a bullet if they are only focused on how much money they are going to make and don't actually care about their customers.
