I've never encountered a more unprofessional home inspector. From the moment he arrived--late, with no explanation--it was downhill from there. He treated the home like a construction zone. Cabinets, drawers, and closets were left wide open, the heating and cooling system was turned off without permission, and items were moved and left out of place. It looked like a tornado had swept through. After a three-hour inspection, he left the property in disarray with zero regard for cleanliness or respect. On top of that, he was rude, dismissive, and carried himself with a complete lack of professionalism. His report was full of vague, unverified claims and speculation. In several places, he stated that certain elements were "not up to code"--but failed to cite any specific code or regulation. This kind of language is not only misleading, it's irresponsible and unhelpful. If you're going to make a claim that something violates building code, it's basic professionalism to include the actual reference. If you're looking for a home inspector who is respectful, thorough, and fact-based, do not use this one. This was a disruptive, disappointing experience from start to finish. read more

I used Jason for our home inspection and could not be happier with this service! He was able to fit our inspection in a hurry as we were going out of town and needed someone quickly. He also let me walk the home with him and pointed out stuff along the way. So I learned a lot! We used this service on a 1975 built home in Poway, we got the home inspection, pool, and solar inspection. It was a competitive price with other places I called. Jason really knows his stuff. He gave us a very detailed report (next day) with recommendations for further trades to call during our inspection period such as sewer and mold. I needed a home inspection report to buy insurance for my condo. I used the "request a quote" feature in "Yelp." I got a bunch of responses right away. But something didn't seem right about those companies. They seemed to slick... like they were run by people who were really good at getting business - with great web sites and immediate action on leads - and then find someone else to do the real work. (Picture the guy sitting on the beach with his laptop and taking 25% for operating a website and call center.) So I kept looking. Then I stumbled on this company and used the "request a quote feature." The owner (who is also the employee) got right back to me with a quote that was lower than the other guys, and the man I spoke with was the actual person who would be doing the inspection. That's probably how he could charge less. Anyway he came out the next day and did the inspection. It was exactly what I needed. The insurance company had some special requirements about wanting certain pictures, and he did that as well, included in the price. This is a good company offering a prompt, efficient, professional and friendly service. Let's face it, no one is thrilled about having to spend money on a home inspection. But if you gotta do it... then at least with this company you know it will be done well and you are supporting a local guy doing a good service. In case this comes up... Jason is ignorant, rude and irresponsible. He made impropriate and offensive jokes when we came up our concern, and literally told us he need to leave before we were clear about the inspection result and still got questions. We found an issue by ourselves in kitchen and kindly asked him to write down on the inspection report. He promised he would but he did not. Also, we emailed him a quick question regarding the result, no reply. Not sure where the good reviews came from, so maybe only us being treated like that? racist or what? read more
